18. Add water as required 19. Then all the meat, I only have pics of when I have added the fish. but the fish was second to the last thing I added. 20. Add maggi, salt and pepper to taste. 21. After letting the pot boil for a while, I now added the vegetable. 2 mins later soup is ready. 22. My friend was the first to eat from it.

Youngzedd: If you look at the soup after adding Okro, you will notice it looks as if there is no oil. That is to say, you need to add a little oil next time.
Finally, Vegetable is very important. Pumpkin is necessary.
You tried. I will rate your cook 90/100 Thanks for the rating. Then I used to think my mom was forcing me to do women work. |

Aida13: Okro in Ogbono is like the finishing touch ohhh my I love the combo. I cut my okra in huge chunks and enjoy them when not too cooked so I put them last of all. I don't fancy meat with my ogbono. Instead, I use an assortment of dried/smoked fish to maintain the local flavor that meat can never provide.
The key is avoiding too much salt, and boiling the seasoning cubes in hot water beforehand, so they don't clump at the bottom of the soup. Also, stir stir stir. You have to stand by the soup and keep stirring, cos that sticking-to-the-bottom stuff is sooo not nice.
This soup is best with poundo yam, eko or semo. Thanks, will try it. |

Am in Oxford, that's where I got the goat meat. As for the boiling, I had added the ogbono long before adding the Okra which I let to cook for just 2 minutes because I didn't want the Okra getting soft. |

SAMBARRY: Wow . yours is different but nice
this is how I do mine. I boil the titus fish . After the fish I ready, I bleach the palm oil a little. Just for 2srconds then pour the powdered ogbono into the hot oil, add the fish water and then leave it to cook. While it's cooking I dice the fish into it, stirr it and once its ready. That's all sounds quicker and easier, I will try it. |

Step 5. Add the quantity of water as desired into the steaming pot, add pepper, maggi and salt Step 6. Now Oil Step 7. I kept the dried fish and prawns in a bowl containing hot water, before adding it to the steaming pot. Step 8. There was only about 9 prawns in the sachet, since I wanted the prawns for its flavour, I decided to blend the head of the prawns instead of throwing it away.

Now to the business of the day, I know goat meat takes longer to get soft, so also the cow foot. so I steamed them separately.
Step 1. Steaming goat meat Step 2. Steaming cow foot Step 3. Added the beef, then later the gizzard into the pot steaming the goat meat. Step 4. Then I add the cow foot to the pot containing the beef, gizzard and goat meat, so that they all have the same flavour.

Have you ever longed for a particular food for what seems like forever? I was in a situation where all I have to eat is a non Nigerian meal, until I set out to change that. Below is the achievement. Items for the soup. 1. Meat. Made up of beef, cow foot, gizzard and goat meat. 2. Dried fish 3. Dried Prawns 4. Ogbono
