King of the North |
That king that was enslaving the whole of the Congo in "Legend of Tarzan" |
Oyetunji Abioye , Washington DC The President of the World Bank Group , Jim Yong Kim , said on Thursday that the bank had concentrated on the northern region of Nigeria in line with President Muhammadu Buhari ’ s request . Kim and the Managing Director , International Monetary Fund, Christine Lagarde, who spoke at separate press conferences in Washington DC , United States , also advised Buhari to invest in things that would enhance economic growth. Kim said , “ You know , in my very first meeting with President Buhari he said specifically that he would like us to shift our focus to the northern region of Nigeria and we ’ ve done that . Now , it has been very difficult . The work there has been very difficult . “ I think Nigeria , of course , has suffered from the dropping oil prices . I think things are just now getting better . But the conversation we need to have with Nigeria , I think , is in many ways related to the theme that I brought to the table just this past week , which is investment in human capital. The percentage of the Gross Domestic Product that Nigeria spends on healthcare is less than one percent . ” He added , “ Despite that , there is so much turbulence in the northern part of the country , and there is the hit that was taken from the drop in the oil prices . Nigeria has to think ahead and invest in its people . Investing in the things that will allow Nigeria to be a thriving , rapidly growing economy in the future is what the country has to focus on right now . ” Kim also said , “ Focusing on the northern part of Nigeria , we hope that as commodity prices stabilise and oil prices come back up , the economy will grow a bit more . But very , very much important is the need to focus on what the drivers of growth in the future will be . ” According to the World Bank boss , the bank will invest in human capital in other parts of Africa in order to prepare the continent for the next phase of growth. Lagarde, in her remarks , said Sub -Saharan African countries , including Nigeria , had posted suboptimal growth in recent times . The growth figures , she said , were far too small considering the huge demographic potential of Nigeria and other countries in the region. As a result , she said the IMF would be engaging ministers of finance and central bank governors from the region attending the annual World Bank and IMF meetings on how they could boost and stabilise economic growth . Lagarde said , “ The Sub -Saharan Africa is one region of the world where growth is suboptimal . Those countries grow at an average growth of 2 . 5 per cent . That is too low for the demographic expansion of the region. ” The IMF managing director said emerging and developing economies must invest more in their economies through infrastructural spending , strengthening safety nets , allowing women more access to the labour market and carrying structural reforms. http://punchng.com/buhari-asked-us-to-focus-on-northern-nigeria-wbank/

There is no sure way to get a job plus most HR guys are smarter now. They can see through your Bulls**t. just be prepared and pray it goes well, you can NEVER be certain what employers are looking for. it's OK to dress well but it doesn't guarantee anything, I feel like sharing this. Last month I went for an interview well dressed, anybody that knows me outside NL knows I dress good. wearing a shirt by Hawes&Curtis, Mos Bros suit, Zara men shoes, not trying to sound arrogant but I know I was in top notch looks. well prepared speech, I knew everything about the company, I was in for a kill. went into the room heads up, speaking with confidence, enough to wow everybody until one guy said "please don't bullsh**t a bullsh**ter", as in saliva tried up in my mouth immediately. the guy said "that will be all". stood up, thanked them and walked out. There is no sure way, just be prepared and be hopeful. |
she's not as intelligent as she's trying to portray herself. "Aso clinic", the clinic should be the first call for the president whenever he's sick and as we know he's been a lot. does that mean he never stepped foot in that clinic? that every little sickness requires him being flown abroad? |
Pavore9:worst route ever, flew Ethiopian Airways SA to NG, connecting flight, so we had to stop at Addis Ababa. Not only did they change the plane with one old scary plane, but the Nigerians on the flight were something else. it's flight rule not to wake a sleeping passenger when they are serving meal. so this guy wasn't disturbed, when he woke up he requested to have his meal and was told chicken n rice is finished but they have fish and rice. you need to see how this guy started reacting. I was ashamed on his behalf and as a Nigerian. most of the passengers were Igbo and were shouting and cursing, just acting up. smh. |
None of them can be said to be "SURE" 1. there's no appropriate or inappropriate dressing on a flight. 2. Maybe. 3. I can refuse to turn off my phone. instead, I can put it in airplane mode and put it away. 4. You can be drunk on a flight (if u are already boarded, some international flights offer alcohol) as long as you are not disruptive. |
the same oil with Nigeria, see the difference |
iLegendd:Anything for pilots? |
why not give it to the military? |
do you know "Legend" hanger? it's behind the international airport, where you have those bureau de change guys. just stand there and you would see silent billionaires coming to take off in their private jets. |

they dated for 9yrs, must have been hard for her moving on. she added u to see the woman her man left her for. |
Chiamaka1:I will like to talk to u about something, I promise I am not trying anything fishy. would u be kind enough to drop ur whatsapp number? |
FunkyMetahuman:I may have, as a kid we all MAY, but guy am not talking about a one time thing, or acting like a woman during play (all those mama n papa kinda), am telling u this kid is just like that, as in its his life style. He's not playing.... cant really describe it for u. |
FunkyMetahuman:I grew up with women too, i was the only male child in the midst of 7 women, ladies and girls. I was their handbad whenever they want to go out. They thought me how to dress, in fact they bought all my clothes up till i turned 20. And i never acted like this kid, u need to see what am seeing. Am not a detailed writer else i would be able to give u better idea of what's up. |
kimbra:They are hardly home, mostly the dad, he's always out of the country. In my 1 month here i can say i know better than the dad sef |
First am not against gay people but considering our Nigeria of today, I fear for this kid. I recently moved in with my uncle to spend 2 months because of a job am seeking. I noticed his 11yr old son acts funny, first he likes physical contact with me, as in he just likes to hold me, cares my hands at every chance. He cares my legs which i initially thought maybe he just likes playing with the hairs on my legs but i noticed he was going higher my knee. A few male visitors have complained of his unusually physical attitude but his parents think he's just being a kid... He likes dressing up as a girl, wears his elder sister's clothes and sometimes her heels. He has remix Rihanna's "work" song to "twerk, twerk.....", u need to see him gyrating his butt to the song. He acts like a sissy and cries like a girl, first time i heard him cry I was like WTF? You need to hear him complain when he's upset, his choice of words, attitude and body language all exhibits feminine traits. There are just too many incidents and attitudes that am just not comfortable with, he's got 2 sisters and 1 brother. His brother is every bit a brut, a real salt give it to u kind of tough guy so I dont understand where this one is coming from... I yell at him whenever i see him acting funny, I dont think yelling is a good option but i have little options as I dont know what to do....... |
delishpot:Guy wey dey break bottle for woman, if na guy wetin him go come do? |
I will advice the other girl to run because her own is coming soon...... he can do it to her as well. |
ajalaolanr:because I have none? Guy I just described my CV for u, I had my ATPL from CAE Oxford, so please keep calm, did u see the post about loads of pilots that are driving cabs? U think living in America gives u an international view? Pick a place in the US and I will meet u there in a week, dont come and form shit here on NL when u dont know who is who. Swerve and let the realist people talk...... |
Davinex:Actually u dont need up to 2000hrs as a 2nd officer, they will employ u with even 300hrs or less, then they will have u on line training while u build up to 500hrs with them. Where do u intend to get money to build 2000hrs on ur own. Except u become an instructor.... |
fuckpro:If only they know what's going on, nobody will even entertain the idea of becoming a pilot in Nigeria at the moment. |
ajalaolanr:Brother, I have no intentions of being a bad person or to discourage anybody. Am just telling him the bitter and painful truth. I just laughed when I saw the ppl and US part. Brother u dont know who n who is on NL. Ordinary PPL and u think u know what it is like. Am talking about ppl with Bsc, ppl, cpl with instrument, then frozen atpl (note i seperated them because it wasnt an integrated course), with type rating and hundreds of hrs on log book roaming the streets and looking something else to do and ur here talking about PPL. |
B737NG:OP take this guy's advice, its not as rosy as u think. There are so many things u will get to find out only after u have earned ur license... |
ajalaolanr:Its not that easy brother. Frankly i would advice him to kill that dream of becoming a pilot. Except he has the money to burn, or he just wants to bear the name and not to earn from it. U would be amazed at the number of unemployed pilots in Nigeria. Speaking from experience... |
nawa4naija:If u ever visit PH again? Dude I owe u beer....... |
nawa4naija:Guy hurry na, its 6pm already. U said in 10mins by 5:09pm......... Just here refreshing page upandan |
