An Owerri-based cleric and prophet, Ekene Bob Ekechukwu, has declared that despite the victory secured by former Lagos state governor, Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu, in the just-concluded presidential primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), a former minister, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, who came a distant second, would be the party’s flag-bearer in the 2023 general elections.
The prophet further revealed that the Kaduna state governor, Nasir el Rufa’i, who did not participate in that primary election, would eventually be picked as his running mate in that election.

Prophet Ekechukwu had previously given prophecies which came to pass.

He predicted the demise of Prophet T.B. Joshua; the death of a former Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Attahiru; prophesied that a former Imo state governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, would face severe corruption charges and that he would be arrested in his home by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and many others.

Although Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi came second in the APC presidential primaries, this prophecy is going to be fulfilled. Amaechi will still fly the flag of APC with El-Rufai as his running mate.

Nollywood actress Osas Ighodaro has reacted to the speculations of dating Nigerian singer Ayo Balogun popularly called Wizkid.
A few months ago, social media went agog after videos and photos of Osas Ighodaro and Wizkid partying at a nightclub surfaced online.

The several public appearances of the two stars fueled more speculations about their romantic affair.

Also, during Wizkid’s 3-day MIL Concert at the 02 Arena, Osas Ighodaro flew to the United Kingdom and it was indeed a swell time for the actress who seemingly had an all-access pass to the London event.

Considering how Osa Ighodara was consistently heard using affectionate terms like ‘baby’ and locking hands with the singer in some of the videos shared online, many social media users assumed the duo was an item.

However, in a recent interview with media personalities, Gbemi and Toolz, Osas cleared the air about dating Wizkid.

According to the actress, she and Wizkid aren’t dating but are just friends.

Macron’s remarks came amidst rumours of Paris Saint-Germain’s potential interest in appointing Zidane to succeed Mauricio Pochettino this summer despite the latter’s contract running until 2023.

“He won three Champions League titles with Real Madrid, which is something we want for our clubs. I want him to come back to promote France.

“I hope, for the impact on the French league and for France, that [Zidane] comes back and coaches a big French club, it would be great.

“My role is to say that France is a great nation for sport and football, that there are great people who love this sport. It is important for us that the best players we have trained, who have sometimes shone at international level, can come back.”

Brymo, whose real name is Olawale Olofooro, has stated that speaking out about his supposed sexual relationship with 2Baba’s wife, Annie Idibia, ’caused tremendous damage’ for the success of his 9th album.
On the newest episode of his Afro Intelligence podcast, Brymo discussed this with media personality Joey Akan.

During the podcast, the 38-year-old stated he tried to ignore the allegation for two years before bringing it to the public’s attention.

The artist, on the other hand, claims that his decision to open up a few weeks after releasing ‘Esan,’ his ninth studio album, impacted the project’s success.

Brymo noted that seeing his streams for the new album shrink over the allegation left him hurt at the time even though it was imperative to shut down the rumour. He said:

“There’s another case of me being accused of sleeping with someone’s wife (Annie Idibia) and that was huge. That was ridiculous…oh my God, I carried that for maybe two years and just went on to organise chaos because I couldn’t take it anymore.”

Surprisingly, we just dropped ‘9’ and everything was going fine…first week (after release) we had millions of streams on Apple Music and it was good.

Then, I tweeted and my streams went down. Though I tweeted it, I still felt hurt. Addressing it created sudden hurt in my progress but it was necessary to end it there and then. Now the streams are getting better again. I was being politically incorrect to be correct.”

The singer also recollected how he dealt with a similar situation in 2020 when a lady accused him of sexual assault.

Brymo said he had to release ‘Libel’, his extended play (EP) to address the allegation. He added:

“In fact I had to speak up, I had to go to the extent of making an album called ‘Libel’, just to address it, so I could seal it up and put it in the archives.”

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, has urged people in the South East region of Nigeria to expose those engaging in criminality in their land.

Kanu said the spate of killing and kidnappings in the region should not be tolerated and he encouraged residents to expose the culprits, rather than cover up for them.

Kanu's counsel, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, made this known on Friday, June 3, after he and Kanu's legal team visited the IPOB leader at the Department of State Services, Abuja, on Thursday.

According to the statement, Kanu also urged his followers to remain calm and focused as he reiterated that his freedom is imminent.

He also asked his lawyers to hasten legal efforts for the "immediate release of Mrs. Ukamaka Ejezie (Mama Biafra) who is presently being held in the solitary confinement of the state security service."

The statement partly read:

"Consistent with the subsisting Court-Ordered guideline, we visited our amiable Client – Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, today.

"Onyendu was enthused with the news of seemingly deescalation in criminal activities in the south East and promptly directed for a sustained action towards total sanity on our land.

"Onyendu was delighted that UMUCHINEKE are being vindicated by the startling revelations which is irresistibly exposing the strangers in our land, and their criminal gangs alike, who are kidnapping on our soil on a daily basis.

"Onyendu maintained that NO SON OF THE SOIL should pause until all forms of criminalities are totally eradicated from our land, he insisted that our land should no longer be a safe haven for those who kidnap for ransom, kill or indulges in any form of prohibited acts.

"Onyendu thanked ChukwuOkike Abiama for exposing these criminals behind the sacrilegious activities on our land , and stressed further that there will be no hiding place any more for these unscrupulous elements who are desecrating our land, hiding in bushes and arrogating the rights of landlords/overlords of our lands to themselves.

"He is profoundly pleased with the unprecedented success so far recorded in containing these monsters who have nothing/no connection whatsoever with his freedom movement. IPOB has been vindicated!

"Onyendu commended Ezigbo UmuChineke for their solidarity, resoluteness and unflinching support. He continues to encourage you all to remain focused, calm and firm, as it is only a matter of time this onerous path will be exited.

"We are not relenting in our effort to see it happen, same energy is also being dissipated to ensure the release of all Umuchineke illegally arrested and still detained across the detention facilities of various security Agencies.

"We implore you all to intensify in your supplications and prayers, as it is impacting so positively Umuchineke."

Former Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki has denied that he antagonized the ambition of the national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu to become President Muhmmadu Buhari’s running mate in 2014 for national interest.
The former presidential aspirant under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, stated this while reacting to Tinubu’s comment accusing Saraki of plotting against him in 2014.

Tinubu, a former governor of Lagos State had during a meeting with delegates in Ogun State, claimed that Saraki and others opposed his desire to be Buhair’s running mate in the 2015 elections because he was a Muslim.

Reacting, Saraki, in a statement by the head of his Media Office, Yusuph Olaniyonu, stated that he would always oppose any plan that is capable of causing a religious crisis in a multi-religious country like Nigeria.

“When I and other leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2014 stood against having a Muslim-Muslim ticket, it was not a decision targeted at any individual or group but one taken in the national interest.

“Let me make it clear that the decision to oppose the plans by some people to make APC present a Muslim-Muslim ticket in 2015 was in the national interest and I will take the same stand today, tomorrow, and any other day.

“My stance is based on the fact that such a ticket is not good for the unity of the country and will further accentuate one of our fault lines.

“The opposition to a Muslim- Muslim ticket was not targeted at Tinubu or any other person. It was a decision that even all party leaders know helped the victory of the party and also worked for the unity of the country”, he said.

Saraki was a member of the ruling party when President Buhari won the 2015 presidential election.

Brazilian professional footballer who currently plays for Manchester City, Gabriel Jesus, has ended speculations on his decision to join Arsenal this summer.
The City striker has reportedly finalized talks with the English Premier League side and would be joining Mikel Arteta’s side for the 2022/2023 league season.

Jesus would be replacing Alexandre Lacazette at Arsenal as the Frenchman is set to leave the Emirates. The North London club has confirmed that Lacazette would be returning to his former club Lyon and his departure will free up the funds needed to complete the Jesus deal.

Jesus had netted in total, 95 goals in 236 appearances for Manchester City and as well scored 13 goals and made 12 assists in 41 games last season, although many of his appearances were as a substitute.

The Brazilian helped Pep Guardiola’s side to win four Premier League titles, three EFL Cups, and one FA Cup during his time at the Etihad.

The 25-year-old player is keen on playing for the Gunners under Arteta, not minding their failure to qualify for the Champions League.

Meanwhile, Arsenal has sent a farewell speech to Alexandre Lacazette as the French player will not be extending his stay with the North London side.

Arsenal confirmed in a statement on Friday that Lacazette will leave in a matter of days when his current contract expires on June 30, 2022. Naija News recalls the striker joined Arsenal from Lyon in July 2017 and has since made 206 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners, scoring 71 goals in the process.

The club’s statement on Friday reads: “The 31-year-old was our top scorer in two seasons during his time with us – in 2017/18, and also in 2020/21, when he scored his 50th Premier League goal in the win over Sheffield United in April 2021.

“That moved the French striker into the all-time top ten of goalscorers for us in Premier League history – scoring his first goal just 94 seconds into his league debut, against Leicester City, in August 2017.

“Laca was an FA Cup winner with us in 2020, was in our FA Community Shield winning team in 2017 and was voted the Arsenal Player of the Season for 2018/19.

“Before joining us, Laca had played all his club football for his hometown club, Lyon, scoring exactly 100 goals in Ligue 1 during his seven years in the French club’s first team.”

As he is set to leave the club, Manager Mikel Arteta has praised the player’s character, describing him as a leader.

Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has yet to choose his running mate, according to his media aide, Mr. Paul Ibe.
Ibe told the Daily Trust that rumors that the ex-governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha, had been selected were false.

On Saturday at the Velodrome of the National Stadium in Abuja, Atiku emerged as the PDP’s candidate, defeating Rivers Governor Nyesom Wike, former Senate President Abubakar Bukola Saraki, and others in a hotly contested primary.

Following the convention, the focus of the party shifted to finding a viable southern running mate for the candidate who would enable the party to win in 2023.

But reacting to the development Ibe said:
“When we decide to speak on the issue of running mate, it will not be a subject of speculation, we will roll it out. It is not going to be something that will be speculated on the social media, online platforms or Whatsapp groups.

So from my on stable I cannot confirm that to be true. These are the times for all manner of speculations. People should endeavor to wait for the official announcement. But this speculation is unknown to me.”

Ex-Imo State governor and All Progressives Congress presidential candidate Rochas Okorocha boasted that if given his party’s ticket, he would defeat Peoples Democratic Party candidate Atiku Abubakar.
According to him, the APC required a candidate who could garner significant votes in the North in order to win the 2023 presidential election.

According to the lawmaker, he is the only candidate who has received nationwide acceptance.

Okorocha stated during an appearance on a political program on Arise Television that his popularity and goodwill in the northern part of the country, which is considered the PDP candidate’s stronghold, gives him an advantage over other APC aspirants.

He said:-
“The APC has smartly waited until the PDP produced its candidate, now what should preoccupy the mind of the APC is who can defeat the PDP presidential candidate.

“The PDP candidate, Atiku Abubakar, is someone that had contested election with our President and was an APC member and he polled substantial votes, what APC needs is the man that can poll similar votes in the North to be able to defeat him, anything outside this that goes with sentiment will mean failure for us.

“This is what we should know, who is that person among the APC aspirants that can get sufficient votes in the North because that PDP’s only strategy is the Northern votes. We might not have President Buhari on the ballot because most people that won elections on the platform of the APC in previous elections did so because of President Buhari. Now such privilege is no more there, so you have to look for that man that people will look at and vote for and I am that man.

“I am more acceptable in the North than any of the aspirants. I am the darling of the North. I have a cordial relationship with the North. In the North, I saw their children that were not going to school and I provided free education for them. Some people believe that if I am elected President that power is still in the North because of my close relationship with the North.”

He stated that he will defeat Atiku in his home state of Adamawa, claiming that he has impacted the lives of people in the state of the PDP’s candidate.

Okorocha said:-
“If I run for election, in Adamawa State today, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar will sweat to defeat me because I can show what I did in Adamawa State. I challenge everyone to show what they have done in other parts of the country outside their region.”.

A presidential aspirant and national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, has claimed that he made Dapo Abiodun the governor of Ogun State.
Tinubu disclosed this on Thursday in Abeokuta during a meeting to woo APC delegates ahead of the forthcoming presidential primary, fixed for 6th June this year.

“It’s over 34 years now that I have been serving them, this one sitting behind me (pointing at the governor), can he say it that he would have become the governor if not for me,” the former Lagos governor said boastfully in Yoruba.

Abiodun had in April 2022 declared that he would support Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo’s presidential bid.

Both Osinbajo and Tinubu were said to be instrumental to his victory when he battled former Governor Ibikunle Amosun’s anointed candidate, Abdulkabir Akinlade, in the last election.

According to Abiodun, Osinbajo’s academic qualifications as well as his pedigree serving as vice-president make him the best candidate for the presidency.

“If becoming president is by qualification, you’ve earned it. You are in office today as the vice-president of Nigeria. You’ve been in office for seven years. You’ve served your boss meritoriously. You are mature in this office. You’ve demonstrated capacity and capability,” he had told the Vice President who was in the state in April to consult APC stakeholders.

“If presidency is by way of an award, we will just gather here today and will award it to you. However, it isn’t an award; it’s a contest. We do not have a doubt in our minds that with your pedigree, the Lord Almighty that we all serve and that you also serve, will grant you the desires of your heart.

“As we stand here today, I make bold to say that your state is the industrial capital of this country; we are the religious capital of this country. God answers our prayers quickly in Ogun state. The Almighty God has answered your prayer. We will be with you, stand by you, and give you that support.”

Kim Kardashian has finally revealed that she pursued comedian Pete Davidson mainly for sex.

The reality star made this known during the eighth episode of The Kardashians.

The mother-of-four said she wasn't looking for a relationship when she first hooked up with the 28-year-old comedian.

She added that she had heard about his "BDE" (big d**k energy) and she was simply "DTF" (down to f**k).

She also hinted at having the best sex of her life with Davidson, while adding that he's simply the "best human" she's met.

The conversation began with Kim listening to a conversation between her nephew Mason and her daughter North.

Mason, Kourtney's first son, was telling North how cool Travis Barker, now his stepfather, is.

Kim recounted Mason's statement about Travis to her mother Kris.

Kim said: "I overheard their convo and Mason goes, 'Can you drop me off at Travis' studio?'"

Kim continued: "He was like, 'It's so cool' and he was telling North, 'they have these bikes and it's just so fun.' His tune has totally changed since the engagement.

Kim told Kris that the way Mason was talking to North gave her the feeling that, "everything would work out" for Kourtney and Travis.

Kim then said in her confessional: "I think after hearing this conversation with Mason and North, and just hearing how he's getting along with Travis and just loving having someone else around, I just think OK there's hope. Someday I'll have someone who'll come around and hang out with the kids."

A producer for The Kardasians then asks Kim: "So are you dating Pete? Why have you been so secretive?"

Kim responds: "Honestly, I just feel like I wanted to really make sure and not just be so like… 'Oh my God I met someone and I'm having fun.' And then just start talking about it on a show and then if we weren't talking months later I'd be like an idiot, or a wh**e, either one."

Kim continued: "He was like, 'It's so cool' and he was telling North, 'they have these bikes and it's just so fun.' His tune has totally changed since the engagement.

"'I heard him say to North, he was like, 'You know, getting a step-dad is not so bad. They're not these evil people like you see in the movies."
