We are recruiting for the below position: Job Title: Accountant Job type: Full Time Desire Courses: Accounting, ICAN/ ACCA Location: Trade fair Lagos, Nigeria Required Experience: 5 years Industry: Beauty/Luxury Job Description: • Continuous management of financial systems and budgets; • Undertaking financial audits (an independent check of an organisation's financial position • Providing financial information and advice. • Reviewing the company's systems and analysing risk; • Performing tests to check financial information and systems; • Maintaining accounting records and preparing accounts and management information • Detecting and preventing fraud (forensic accounting); • Managing junior colleagues. • Dealing with any financial irregularities as they arise; • Producing reports and recommendations following internal audit • Preparing financial statements, including monthly and annual accounts; • Preparing financial management reports, including financial planning and forecasting; • Advising on tax and treasury issues; Desired Skills and Experience: Applicants must possess/satisfy the following conditions: • Bsc in Accounting or a related discipline from a reputable tertiary institution • Must be a Chartered Accountant (ICAN or ACCA) • Must possess a minimum of 5 years cognate experience in a computerized and structured business environment as an Accountant • Applicant must have the requisite managerial skills and good knowledge of Sales and Marketing • Must be proficient in the use of MS word and Excel • Candidate must be proficient in the use of QUICK BOOKS ENTERPRISE ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE and other useful accounting packages. He/She must be currently using the accounting package or had used the system in the previous employment • Must have sound knowledge of warehouse stores and retail stores related tasks • Must not be more than 40 years of age • Professional appearance and demeanor, high level of business acumen, exceptional leadership, interpersonal, motivational and managerial skills with a mastery in written communication and presentations • A good understanding of -and enthusiasm for beauty and fragrances is an added advantage • Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business Be ready to give the ideal energy needed on the role Application Closing Date: 5th January, 2015.
