Hmmm, thank you.

bellong:
If you are able to net 80 points, you have high chance.

Northern Territory is the only state currently nominating customer service manager. It is on special condition in SA which means, it requires about 75 points (not too sure of this).

If he is able to get 75 points, it is an opportunity you can explore.

Oga Bellong,
Thank you for your kind heart and timely information. From all indications, it seems chance of getting invitation as an Accountant on this Australian Skilled migration program is slim. My hubby studied Business Administration & Management(Bsc) and he has huge experience in customers' service. Are you suggesting he should be PA? Is Customer Service officer on CSOL/SOL? If yes, what is the average point for it? I count on your unbiased judgement?

bellong:
@maryasek,

Due to the very high number of accountants applying for skilled migration, it is difficult to get ITA except you have high score like 80 and above. Most of the states have cut back significantly on the number of accountants they invite.

1. Your ICAN can be assessed to be equivalent to AQF Bachelor degree. The accountants on the thread will advice you further on that.

2. The points you get in experience is dependent on how well you can articulate your job descriptions. I believe all what you have done can still be classified as accounting work, so don't short changed yourself.

3. No other option outside 189, 190 and 489. The other alternative is to come on study visa.

Are you married? What is your spouse's occupation?

Oga Bellong and others, please help me out. My case, I think, is peculiar

My Academics/Professional Qualifications with Dates
ATSWA(ICAN) - 2005
ICAN(Professional) - 2008
BSc Accounting - 2013 (2 Academic Year Programme)

Age - 38 years

Working Experience
2005 - 2006 - Audit Trainee using my AAT certificate
2006 - 2012 - Store Officer in a Financial Institution using my AAT certificate
2013 - Till Date - Accountant in a Federal Government Institution(Bsc/ICAN certs)

My Issues
I have read some pieces from Nairaland and other sources, it seems points needed by Accountants for Australia Skilled worker immigration purpose have been hovering around 80 and appears inivation for this occupation list is quickly filled up especially for Visa category 189. Apart from that, I discover that you only get positive qualification assessment for degree equivalent to AQF degree only if you study for 5 academic years(Federal Universities), I may be wrong though. In line with that, assessment bodies(in my case CPAA/CA/IPA) tends to consider year(s) after degree qualification as relevant employment experience for skill assessment.

My Questions
1. Considering my certs, do I still stand a chance of getting all the certs assessed as a degree for me to be able to earn 15points on Education?
2. Going by my work history, will I be assessed to have 8 years or more relevant employment experience?
3. If answers to 1 & 2 are No, what other options can I explore please?
4. As part of PR points calculation variables, the question "Can your partner pass skills assessment in an occupation on the applicable Skilled Occupations List for your subclass" is confusing to me. Does that mean we have to study the same course and be practising same profession?

Sorry for the long post. Please, come to my aid. I have wasted some fortune on Canada wahala, age has been my major hinderance(425 points). This Australia immigration appears to be my only hope. Please, help me out with relevant information!
