HealthWhy Do Witnesses Dr/nrs Refuse To Transfuse Patients Who Consent To It? by marycool18(op):
During my training as a student Nurse, I've encountered many scenarios whereby a witness nurse or Dctor on duty will refuse to give blood transfusion to patients who consent for it. This is often in cases of emergency which means that a delay in administration may mean death for the patient.
If asked they'll say it's their doctrine not to receive or give blood transfusion.
The most recent one that baffled me was that of yesterday in the general hospital I'm doing my clinical placement, A young boy of about 10years, very ill looking and pale was refused a blood transfusion after the patient's guardian had consented and even paid for it because the nurse on duty was a witness, instead she delayed and kept it till the next shift which a different nurse will transfuse the child and she recorded in the report that the blood was unavailable.
This is a serious matter that legal actions can even be taken on one who violates a person's right to appropriate medical treatment, it's very unfair and inhuman.
Please I'm not writing this to disrespect anybody's religion but for the witnesses to spell out their stand when it comes to critical care and not let an innocent person suffer the effects of their own view on blood and blood products.
CrimeAustralia Recalls Its Ambassador To Indonesia After The Execution. by marycool18(op): 7:49am On Apr 29, 2015
(CNN)Australia has recalled its ambassador to Indonesia for consultations after two Australians were among eight drug smugglers executed by firing squad early Wednesday.

Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott called the executions "cruel and unnecessary" because both men, Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran, had been "fully rehabilitated" during a decade in prison.

Abbott didn't say what permanent actions, if any, would be taken against Indonesia. "This is a dark moment in the relationship, but I'm sure the relationship will be restored," he said.

One of the men's Indonesian lawyers, Todung Mulya Lubis tweeted his apologies. "I failed. I lost," he said. "I'm sorry."

HealthSee What An Auxiliary Nurse Did To This Baby. Viewer's Discretion advised. by marycool18(op): 8:48pm On Apr 10, 2015
An auxiliary nurse is often trained by a Doctor but the training is not always sufficient to render holistic care to a patient because it's never a professional training. This baby was undergoing circumcision in the hands of a quack in a private hospital and it went wrong, cutting off the boy's genital ia ... the boy is presently being hospitalised.
Please the public should be careful where they seek for health services.
