Few weeks ago I was in Aba Abia State.
I went to run some errands for my husband.

I lodged in a particular hotel, anytime I find myself in Aba na there I dey stay ... It's almost like I already have a room there.

After about a week I got a business call in calabar that needed my urgent attention. So I packed and moved to calabar.

It was on my way to calabar that I realized my iPhone was missing 💔💔💔

So I called the receptionist and asked her to please go to my room and check for my phone . She said she will but I didn't hear from her again.

I got to calabar very late so I slept off.

By morning I called the receptionist again, and she said she didn't see any phone 🤳🏼. I asked her to please check very well. She still insisted that she had done that .

I asked her to ask the black guy that helped us pack our loads ... She said she has. At this point she became rude and end the call.

I was really sad. And that phone wasn't on password and my sim is in it. I tried calling but it was switched off. My phone was fully charged the morning before I traveled to calabar.

But immediately I noticed it was missing and called the line , it was switched off.

I kept calling till date 😔

I brought out my box, searched it properly but I still couldn't find my phone.

I don't go out with that phone so I couldn't have misplaced it.

4 days later I called the receptionist again
I pleaded with her to go to that particular room, check by the bedside and see if it had fallen over the edge of the room. She told me that someone was already in the room so she couldn't. I wasn't done talking she end the call

From calabar I came back to Enugu state.
Three days ago I called the receptionist again
I asked her if she had checked and she said

"Madam we are not with your phone please stop calling " she ends the call 🤙🏼

😭😭😭😭😭 I almost gave up

I was scared. That's my private line, my pictures and that of my family is there 😭😭
The phone isn't on password and so it's easy to access it. Which is risky

Well I gave up 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

But then I wasn't satisfied

Before they would check anyone inside the room, of course they would clean the room very well right Which means someone must have found my phone . Could be the cleaner or the butler... Anyone

So I called her (the receptionist) back again

This time I told them I had tracked the phone and it's showing that the phone is at the hotels venue... And if they won't hand over the phone to me that I would take up legal actions

She asked me to hold on let her inform the manager...

Few minutes later the manager called me .

He asked me how I knew the phone was in the hotel?

I told him I tracked the phone.

He said 'is alright ' so when will you come to take it .

I was shocked but had to keep calm

I told him I was far away in enugu state so I couldn't come. I asked him if they could send it through peace mass transit to Enugu state.

He said okay. And asked that I forward my waybil details to the line .

Which I did

He asked who will pay for delivery, I told him I will ... And that was it

24 hours later nobody called😳😳😳

I called the receptionist again and she said she has no idea about any phone. I explained everything to her and she said she has no idea

Hmmmmm

So I asked her to ask the manager

I called back again and she said the manager wasn't around...

Few hours later , she still claimed the manager wasn't around.

So I decided to seek for a dispatch rider in Aba.

Which was why I made that post yesterday asking for a dispatch rider in Aba.

With the help of Immaculata Merit Adaugo I found one. He went to the hotel and they gave him the phone after small drama sha which I no get energy to type.

So he went to peace mass and registered the phone ...

Am kinda still worried sha

I hope the phone returns the same way it was ...with my sim

I am writing this here just for the record. Because I still can't believe why a hotel as big as that would treat their regular customer like that.

I lodge there for a week or two anytime I am in Aba . I buy their food. I tip their staffs ... I buy water even drinks when I have visitors.

Why on earth would they withhold my phone for two weeks

Assuming the phone was off why didn't they charge it so that the owner of the phone can at least call 🤙🏼

But then I am thankful to Jehovah that I would soon have my phone back with me...

The last time I saw that phone it was charging on the locker beside the bed.... I went out, came back and began to pack. I took the charger but didn't notice the phone was gone .

Before I left I have a video of me going round my room to properly check if I was forgetting anything... By then their staff had already helped me to carry my bags downstairs.

So at what point did my phone disappear

Why is Tinubu building hospital in Abia? Does it mean we don't need more hospitals again in Lagos or other SW states. The other day they started building the Renewed Hope housing units in the same Abia. For people that don't appreciate it and will never appreciate anything. Bandits have killed the eldest son of a judge of the Kaduna State Customary Court, identified as Janet Galadima, while demanding N300m ransom to free the judge and her three other children still being held.

The Chief Executive Officer of the House of Justice, Gloria Ballason, in a statement on Wednesday, said the judge and her four children were kidnapped by the bandits on Sunday.

According to Ballason, the bandits invaded the judge’s home on the night of Sunday while her medical doctor husband was away on duty.

Ballason said, “The abductors, reported to have been about 15, took their captives hostage and demanded a huge sum as ransom.

“On Tuesday, July 2, 2024, the terrorists shot dead the 14-year-old first son of the judge when the ransom demanded could not be obtained.”

Ballason, a human rights lawyer, condemned the attack on the judge and her family, saying it ran contrary to Article 7 of the United Nations Basic Principles on the Independence of the Judiciary and Section 33 and 14 (2)b of the 1999 Constitution that guarantees the safety of judges.

Ballason described the murder of Victor, the 14-year-old son of the judge as “grisly and blood curdling,” stating that no parent deserved the horror of watching their child being killed in such a cold, callous manner.

She called on the Nigerian security agencies, the Governor of Kaduna state, the Nigeria Bar Association and the judiciary to rise to the urgency of the moment for the protection of the lives of Justice Galadima and her children and to ensure justice was served.

Meanwhile, the Kaduna State chapter of the Nigeria Medical Association, in a statement by its Public Relations Officer, Dr Shuaibu Joga, said it received with rude shock the bandit attack on the spouse of one of the association’s members.

The NMA PRO said, “Following the incident, we visited and interacted with him (Dr. Musa Gimba Dutse) and he informed us that the kidnappers had made a demand of N300m to secure their release. While the security agencies had been informed and negotiations with the kidnappers were ongoing, we received the shocking news today that the first son was killed to force payment of the said sum.

“In response, we are calling for an emergency SEC meeting today and a press conference to further call on the authorities to expedite action on securing their immediate release and also release of our other doctor colleague kidnapped six months ago.


“We call for calm from members and request all to stay safe while we engage the necessary security organs to end this needless wanton evil.”

A family source said the kidnappers initially demanded N300m but later reduced it to N298m.

“The wife and the four children of Dr. Musa Gimba Dutse were kidnapped on 23/06/24 from his residence in Kaduna while he was away in Kano for an official assignment.


“Security agencies were duly informed after the incident with the kidnappers initially demanding N300m, which they later reduced to N298m, to secure their release.

“While negotiations were ongoing, the kidnappers murdered Dr. Musa’s eldest son, Victor (14yrs) on July 2, 2024 to force payment of the ransom.

”Dr. Musa is a civil servant working for the state primary healthcare board and his wife, Janet, is a magistrate with the Kaduna State Customary Court. They do not have the funds and despite all efforts, he has not been able to raise the ransom. Worrying still, the kidnappers are still demanding N298m and threatening more violence. Consequently, we are increasingly fearful for his wife and the three children who remain in their clutches.

“Although the Kaduna State government, security agencies as well as the Nigeria Medical Association and the Nigerian Bar Association are aware, their efforts have not been fruitful.

”I humbly and respectfully request you share this sad story to raise awareness on this family’s plight and possibly get the help Dr. Musa needs to secure his family’s release,” the family source added.

As of the time of filing this report, there was no official statement from either the state government or the state police command.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Mansir Hassan, ASP, could not be reached on his mobile line, which indicated “busy” and there was no response to a text message sent to him on the subject matter.
