Romance / Re: Is It Proper For A Lady To Propose To A Man? by MasterJoe(m): 3:12pm On Aug 28, 2017
Evaberry:
I'm the type thats very open with my feelings
if I see a guy I like I tell him I like him

if I meet a cool guy I collect his number and befriend him.

if I want to see a guy I dont wait to be invited I call and tell him I want to come over.

I don't see the need to pretend when there's someone that can make me happy.

I would even love to ask my boyfriend(future boyfriend) to marry me but note you have to make sure he's the mature type and hes not the type that believes a woman shouldn't go after a man and he's ready for marriage, financially emotionally etc

High five to you. This post is as mature as you. I often tell my friends, sometimes, playing hard to get doesn't increase your value it only betrays maturity.

Fine submission, I like that part "you have to make sure he's the mature type and hes not the type that believes a woman shouldn't go after a man and he's ready for marriage, financially emotionally etc "

Romance / Is It Proper For A Lady To Propose To A Man? by MasterJoe(m): 4:15am On Aug 28, 2017
There is no doubt that the world is actually evolving. Things are changing slow and steady.

I walked passed some group of folks, males and females debating on the acceptability and profoundness of ladies proposing to men.
.
Hey there! In your own view what do you think? Do you think it is proper or not?

For me, I see nothing wrong with it. A lady can go ahead to propose to a man. Afterall, defined relationship precedes marriage proposal. The implication of this is that no harm would be incured since both parties to some reasonable extent know themselves. For me, proposal is akin to a thing done to fulfil all righteousness. It is just like a formal activity or observation like naming ceremony, birthday party, to name a few. It doesn't temper with the love that exist between the two love birds. Hence, it doesn't matter who proposed. Yes, lady or man, it doesn't matter. What matters is what they feel for each other, the essence of their marriage is key, I think.
.
That's my own thought. What do you guys think?

Romance / Why Men Should Slap Women by MasterJoe(m): 4:34pm On Jul 27, 2017
I love Randy Orton not because he is one of the most successful professional wrestlers in the world but because I see myself in him. When John Cena, Sting, Roman Reigns refrained from raising their hands against Stephanie Mchanon (a female), Randy Orton did not only beat her up but delivered a perfectly executed RKO on her.
.
This whole idea of males not raising their hands against females all started from the TV and is still being re-enforced via the TV. I don't support it. I never will. Stella Affiahyou'll have to prepare for it.
.
A man should be able to return a slap (attack) from a female. If she slaps you, slap her back! After all, if John assaults Victor, Victor won't be considered brave if he walks away without a retaliation. So why should it be different when the ladies are involved? Oh, there aren't men's equals? Perhaps, there are the weaker vessel? WEAKER meaning LESS strong? Is that so? So what's all these foolish feminist movements all about? "LESS" trying to be "EQUAL?" Nonsense! These foolish EVEs are at it again; trying to destroy ADAMs again. It won't work! Adams are now smarter.
.
So,
.
"If as a guy, you're not gonna slap a girl, then NEVER raise your hands against another guy again!"
.
And,
.
"If men and women AREN'T equals then NEVER slap a woman but if they're equals, then SLAP HER comfortably!"
.
In fact,
.
"Slap, brutalize and disfigure all feminists, after all, WE'RE ALL EQUAL, aren't we?"
.
.

Religion / Re: Never Ever Confide In People About Your Faults, Weaknesses Or Shortcomings! by MasterJoe(m): 10:56am On Apr 02, 2017
PROPHETmichael:
They call it being "transparent" but wisdom calls it being foolish.Never even confide in your best friend otherwise, it will come back to haunt you in a way you cannot even begin to imagine. People often confide in friends because they naively believe their friends are incapable of envy. But envy knows no bounds regardless of race, age or gender, and most often comes to rest in the bosom of a close friend more so than in the bosom of an enemy.

Years ago, listening to the teachings of the Promise Keepers (bad choice), I made the mistake of being "transparent" with two of my friends. I especially thought I was safe since it was two of my childhood friends, friends who I personally taught the ways of survival in the streets back in the day. But, alas, both of these "friends" took my personal business and threw me under the bus. Then went on their merry little way like nothing happened.

The result was that they profoundly damaged my reputation and my influence for the Kingdom. And to this day, those that believe their "story" and have circulated it as salacious gossip, have never taken the initiative to hear my side of the story to get the real truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. That's because most people don't care about the truth since spin always adds more flavour to gossip.

Thankfully, instead of resorting to handling the issue with my fists (as I most assuredly would have in times past and would have stomped a mudhole in both of them), I was able to find strength and solace in the Scripture, "A lying tongue is but for a moment" (Proverbs 12:19). It was one of the most difficult things I ever had to do since I had always handled all problems of conflict with violence and not with grace.
Thanks be to God that, when you need more grace to handle the challenges of life, "He giveth more grace" (James 4:6).
It is precisely because of envy-ruled "friends" that God has given us wise mentors.

Only confide in a principle-based mentor because your mentor is your God-appointed confidant, one who has your best interests at heart and will counsel you on how to overcome your weaknesses and shortcoming, and who will pray your strength in the Lord.
I learned that the hard way but you can learn it the easy way simply by learning from my mistake--and trusting the simple wisdom of this exhortation.

Real talk! I copied this from a prophet's facebook page.
.
Mentor? How can you know a true mentor for you? Personally, Christ is my mentor, my standard.

Sorry bro. You missed it bro. Have you ever imagined a situation where every guy wants to marry a girl that is self-independent and empowered. You know what that means right.

Look, no one is saying that a guy should not take adequate care of his girl. Hell no. But doesn't it ring a bell in your ears, when ladies lay bare their every problems to a boyfriend who isn't even their husband? Come on man! Or do you want it to become an issue similar to the Bible where ladies have to cast all their burdens upon their boyfriends because he cares for them. Hehe!

LordZero:
Movies huh?

I don't buy the idea of boyfriends turning into caretaker/parents or using money to impress/hold down a girl and those movies you cited are doing more harm than good by trying to give us the "ideal/standard relationship".
Is it not in the same movies that a boy will be chasing a girl around with flowers and dates without the girl reciprocating his love?
Is it not in the same movies that dudes worship their crush?
Is it not in those movies that the sole purpose of some of the male characters on this planet is to gain the love of one girl somewhere?
Is it not movies that are promoting the idea of special someone waiting somewhere? e.t.c

If a girl is turning you to a provider without anything to offer apart from her body, use your brain and do tge needful..

Your first observation and submission depicts that you have a better grasp of the subject.
.
Now, telling me if those movies I highlighted are more bad than good is not really the bone of contention. Of course, virtually everything has it pros and cons. Mind you, we're not out for a debate competition or else it will be an endless ding dong battle between the positive and negative effects of those movies.
.
Sir, If you watch closely, you would noticed that I did not generalized or make those movies a standard or yardstick to follow intoto. I was only concerned and enthralled by the dependency nature the female whites depicts in their movies. At least, in this aspect, we can learn one or two thing. There's no big deal in this.

Frolic:
You are quite not so right about this.

We live in different societies from those you are here comparing our girls with and our norms and culture are not that convergent when it comes to things like who plays what role in a relationship. So, if you're broke , know within you your not yet matured enough for commitment. Just mess around if you must and dont catch feelings and you wont have anything up ur medulla to worry about wink
.
Read the post keenly and filter the central theme. You see, the apple of discord here is on 'dependency'. if you observe keenly, you will see that I never did generalized anything. The apple of discord was leveled on the degree in which Nigerian girls lay bare their responsibilities and obligations to a guy who opted to befriend them. I mean, it's on the high side. I'm sure you know what I mean.
.
As much as our girls can learn a thing or two from the whites, they too can admire and follow a standard we've established. It's all about striking the balance. But I think, our girls having some level of independence joined with their cultural and religious premises, will make them feel more better.

Nigerians make life uneasy for them. How on earth did it become a norm for girls to depend on their boyfriends for financial help? You need your hair made and you called your boyfriend? What nonsense! The silly idiot on the other hand won't just send the money to you, he might even come down to your house just to pick you up for the hairdressing. What are we thinking?
.
He hasn't proposed to you yet but he's already treating you like a wife and as the fool that you're, you cook and wash his clothes! Do you really have brains? Don't you watch foreign movies? Don't you care to learn?
.
A typical American girl won't ask his boyfriend for money to make her hair. She will just do it! If she needs money, she gets a job or ask her parents! A boyfriend is just a friend, not a caretaker, not a husband, not an employer. Don't you see it in American, Indian, Philippines movies? Boys are only responsible for your safety while on a date! In Nigeria, we do everything wrongly. Gosh!

Religion / Drop It! Angels Were And Are Never Females. by MasterJoe(m): 1:42pm On Mar 29, 2017
Lately, I came across two fellows of opposite sex, locked, stocked and barreled in an intense argument on whether angels are males or females. Astoundingly, contrary to my expectation, while the young gentleman was arguing for the existence of both male and female angels, the pretty lady was arguing for the existence of only male angels. Well, personally, I can't really say, since I'm yet to visually perceive any sought of angel. Nevertheless, inferring from the scriptures, I guess we have something to think about.
.
You see, the Bible says nothing about female angels. There is no need for a female angel because they are all immortal and do not need to reproduce with each other and make children, they are all male. Maybe people envisaged angels to be women because women are more soft and peaceful than men. But it is not what the Bible says, only what people think.
The following verses show that angels are actually male.
.
Genesis 6:2
that the sons of God saw the daughters of men, that they were beautiful; and they took wives for themselves of all whom they choose.
.
Genesis 6:4
there were giants of the earth in those days, and also afterwards, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.
.
Something to think about right. Obviously, God created angels and when angels have children with humans, their children will grow up to be giants.
What do you think?
