Doesn't have to be, I use the snapdragon variant of the galaxy s7 and it heats up under intense gaming or video streaming.

Snapdragon 820 was a failure processor as it was known to have overheating issues, and also being a Quad-Core processor, SDM 821 was released as a sequel to replace it, newer Snapdragon processors were octa core and didn't have the overheating issues it had, sdm845 in S9 and s9 plus or the 835 in S8 or the plus version gets warm but not hot

It's exynos processor issue. They heat up really fast because of the Power hungry M cores.

So, I admit that I am a bit late to the party but what can I say

I was torn between the Samsung s9+ (2018 flagship) and the RN 9 pro (2020 midrange), and guess which one I finally chose lol.

It's a cool phone though my younger bro wants to start using it to play pubg abi call of duty, lol he wont have a chance.

I am loving the phone, its sleek and smooth. Still a good phone to get in 2020
I hope I didn't make the wrong choice. Also, why couldn't I find the SD version

Well, congratulations on your new found baby, I wished you had gone for the Redmi note 9 pro though, I just sold not quite long, my own s9+ duos, the battery sucks badly even after reducing screen resolution, put on battery saver and no AOD, screen edge lighting etc.
And to cap it up, exynos heating issues will scare you now that you're going into gaming. The device is good but for those issues, Let's see how it goes sha.

[s][/s] sold A neatly used s9 plus for sale, slick crack on the corning glas near the power button
no cracks at the back not an issue though, whatsapp 08062917601, 70k slightly negotiable. Location: ado ekiti

None of the above will suffice bro, expect lags. These phones are entry level devices, gaming and fast browsing becomes enjoyable with midrange Socs.

Stay away from the Samsung a50, I recommend either the poco x3 or note 8 pro. The a50 heats up really fast and drains battery super fast, exynos 9610 is crazy compared to either the g90t or 732g

Pixel 4 and 4a are in two leagues

Ikillbrokehoes:
Dude I use pixel 4 and it's the best phone ever, talk about the crystal clear cam and other features, if u use that phone u will definitely change Ur mind

The truth is asides the camera, the poco x3 beats the pixel 4a hands down in specs. Your choice is a function of what you're after, if its pictures, better software support and if you like a stock android and don't mind the battery, you're good with the pixel 4a, if you're however a regular guy and don't mind managing just 1 or 2 years sofware upgrade, the poco x3 is awesome and also cheaper

My brother, if you like it plain and pure stock without customizations and beautiful skins, go for pixel, but for dual sim functionality, awesome OxygenOS, and other customization, 6t is a go for you, One OnePlus supports their phones for 3-4 years too, so 6T will get android 11.

Neat nokia 5.1 plus from for sale. 3gb 32gb. No cracks or dent, battery still strong. 35k asking price. WhatsApp 08062917601. Ado ekiti

Any day the s9 beats the A50 hands down, forget the 4000mah battery, that phone drains battery like something else, a little work load and the exynos9610 starts heating up. So if you are lucky to get the s9 plus, you're good to go.

Pricing is dependent on a lot of features
1. Screen technology
2. IP rating
3. Corning glass protection
4. Refresh rate
5. SoC
Samsung offers premium devices with most of these features, their low end devices are poor compared to devices like Xiaomi, Oppo, Realme etc.
Huawei, LG, Sony are premium phone makers too that competes favourably with Samsung and IPhone.
OnePlus devices are superb and gives you better value per price than Samsung, Huawei, LG, Sony.
Xiaomi leads the best of the rest, offering better value per price. You will all agree with me that low end and mid range devices from the top tier manufacturers can't match up with the devices that Xiaomi offers, they may have issues with delivering updates to their devices but they are still the best of the rest.
Tecno and Infinix focus on the entry range devices and their value per price is poor, they use entry SoCs for their devices and add huge battery and high pixel lens.

Olamyyde:
Breaking news: Local man buys entry level device and expects it to give flagship performance

don't mind them jare, helio g25 and he's complaining. Get redmi note 9 or 9 pro or even note 7 pro with SDM 675 and you'll know that khaki no be leather

Jafar1:
snapdragon 820

mmmmm!! lower midrange

once a flagship in 2016, 4 years old

Lovely piece, always check before you buy your smartphones, the 48mp camera deception and motorized selfie are just marketing strategies to draw your attention away from the real deal SoC.
