Car TalkRe: Cars Elite Should Pls Explain This! by mastig: 9:30pm On Nov 17, 2022
Sometimes, you should be wary of cars with low mileage. Most have issues or have been parked for a long time without use or sparingly used. That a car has high mileage doesn't mean it ain't good. As someone already suggested, get a good mechanic to inspect, scan and check well.
Also, the year and model also matters,

Inline 4 is the appropriate word. The inline 4 he's asking you to avoid is the c230 kompressor with supercharger.

I'm loving this thread, what's the experience with German cars 9ja used? Are they safe to be bought, given the notion of electric issues.
I mean MB, BMW, VW, year 2004- 2008

Bros, how you take know say it's not 2005? That's definitely 2005, check the lights, any corolla below 2005 is amber or orange rear light
SegzyT:
The car is not 2005. It should be either 2003 or 2004, check well please.

Go for the the Mi 5s plus, it was a flagship device and it's specs dwarfs every other phone you listed. The only con is the old android version but if you know your way you can install custom ROM on it.
God bless you jàre, a flagship device in it's time that is in the class of s7 edge and LG g6. It's way better than the rest
PhonesRe: PHANTOM X Review: Premium Hardware, Mid-range Price! by mastig: 9:59pm On Jul 21, 2021
Poco x3 pro beats the phantom X in all respects, chipset, display, battery, protection, etc. and also price. Snapdragon 860 flagship to a midrange g95.
PhonesRe: My Samsung S9 Is Stuck At Android 8.0 by mastig: 10:14pm On Jun 21, 2021
Odin is the way, guess it carrier unlocked, your phone can't connect to the carrier's network from Nigeria. Odin is safe, just go to sammobile and register and download the firmware for Android 10, ECT to be precise as code. You can do it yourself,

for Samsung, if you're not getting from A50 up, just forget it. Go for the infinix, it's more value for money.
Best advice you can get.

I doubt if this is Redmi note 10 pro, the AnTuTu benchmark for 732g beats the g90t of the camon 16 premier.
PhonesRe: Here Are The So Called Xiaomi Users That Labelled A Company Trash by mastig: 7:55pm On Apr 20, 2021
The Xiaomi - Transsion imbroglio is getting messier, if what your budget can carry is Transsion, please jejely buy it and mind your business, if you can afford Xiaomi devices, enjoy the features and Waka pass jejely. The basis for comparison is actually irritating by the day.
PhonesRe: Why Xiaomi Can Never Do As Well As Transsion In Nigeria Phone Market by mastig: 5:28pm On Apr 20, 2021
jikins:
There is context to everything. So first understand the context. In this context, they mean brand flagship. Flagship is gotten from naval terminology which mean the best from a certain country or in this case brand. So yes all phone brands have their flagship phones which is the best phone they produce that year.

The confusion here is just terminology. You are right but he is also right. I think a guy here atheistandproud put it specifically, there is brand flagship and flagship grade devices. But from the context you should know they mean brand flagship.

Brand flagship can be anything from midranger to even premium grade devices. But flagship grade devices are just that flagship grade. Premium grade devices are at a higher level than flagship grade devices.

Best terminology to use should be high end phones instead of flagship grade. Its easier for everyone.

But it also seems that some guys were equating both brand flagship and flagship grade phones together. That's definitely wrong.
I agree with you on the brand flagship thing. Thanks for giving perspective to the confusion.

Freelancerx:
apparently you dont kmow what flagship means "flagship noun [C] (BEST PRODUCT)
the best or most important product, idea, building, etc. that an organization owns or produces" every mobile phone brand has flagship devices.
Tecno or any transsion device doesn't produce Flagships brotherly, Flagships starts with the Processor line, the Display, and overall build quality. Tecno's so called flagship is a midranger.
There is what is called Flagship Killers and there you'll find OnePlus, Xiaomi, etc. Not Tecno and Infinix

PhonesRe: Transsion And Xiaomi: We Disagree To Agree by mastig: 7:48pm On Apr 15, 2021
The real argument here is why would transsion keep recycling same processor for 5 years and the prices of the devices don't reduce, check 95% of transsion devices and you find entry level processor and 720p screen display and the prices is comparable with a Xiaomi with midrange processors and 1080p screens!!
The best processor and display transsion has used was in the Infinix zero platform and lately note 7 and 8, while for tecno was camon 16 premier.

PhonesRe: Transsion And Xiaomi: We Disagree To Agree by mastig: 9:35pm On Apr 11, 2021
I'll rather buy a 3 year old flagship with great processors than a transsion device. The first thing on my checklist is the processor, the screen resolution before even checking the battery and so called 108mp camera that is being used to "Ko wa lomi obe je" (the bread transsion uses to steal our soup"
PhonesRe: Transsion And Xiaomi: We Disagree To Agree by mastig: 3:08pm On Apr 11, 2021
I beg to differ on your assertion. You may speak of yourself and not of the average Nigerian. You'll be surprised to know that an average Nigerian is tech savvy, love fast powerful devices and can afford them too.
Kunja2:
trust me, if they should use a higher chipsets, it's gonna reflect on the price. You need to understand the clime you are in.

The average Nigerian wants a phone that makes calls, browes the internet, plays music and take good pictures. They're not bothered about chipsets and all. Those are the people that makes the bulk of Transsion's market. It's just a very few of us that understands chipsets. Besides, TECNO has variants with higher chipsets
PhonesRe: Is There Any Perfect Phone by mastig: 8:10pm On Apr 07, 2021
There are no perfect phones, there will always be a flaw no matter what? Nothing man made is perfect, what you feel is a good spec doesn't matter to someone else. A perfect phone's battery won't run down.
PhonesRe: Oneplus 6t Or Redmi Note 10 by mastig: 8:08pm On Apr 07, 2021
My recommendation Is to go for the One plus 6t if you can get it at that amount. It's still future proof even after 3 years. Runs Android 11 oxygenOS, powered by the sdm845. Except for battery size which may be a down @ 3700mah

PhonesRe: Samsung S9 Plus Or Xiaomi S10? by mastig: 8:18pm On Mar 23, 2021
Having used the Samsung Galaxy series s8, s8 plus and s9 plus in recent times, my brother, I'll advice you go for the Mi 10S, asides the AMOLED screen and curved edges, or the iris scanner, there is nothing else that's special jare.
PhonesRe: Why Is My Samsung Device Always Hot When I Am Using It by mastig: 7:37pm On Jan 25, 2021
However, something else may be wrong with the device if you bought it new. I've used exynos processor based phones and I won't recommend it for anyone, my S9 plus was exynos 9810 and gets warm to hot on basic use,not even gaming, exynos 9610 on A50 is even worse, also check the network, poor network is another major cause of heat issues in phones, if 3G is stable and fast on your area, switch to it, poor LTE network drains battery by repeated pinging of tower.
PhonesRe: Why Is My Samsung Device Always Hot When I Am Using It by mastig: 7:33pm On Jan 25, 2021
ksly24:
Doesn't have to be, I use the snapdragon variant of the galaxy s7 and it heats up under intense gaming or video streaming.
Snapdragon 820 was a failure processor as it was known to have overheating issues, and also being a Quad-Core processor, SDM 821 was released as a sequel to replace it, newer Snapdragon processors were octa core and didn't have the overheating issues it had, sdm845 in S9 and s9 plus or the 835 in S8 or the plus version gets warm but not hot
PhonesRe: Why Is My Samsung Device Always Hot When I Am Using It by mastig: 9:55pm On Jan 24, 2021
It's exynos processor issue. They heat up really fast because of the Power hungry M cores.
