Phones / Re: Infinix Unveils Hot 7 Device In Nigeria by Matikho: 10:53pm On Mar 12, 2019
slawomir:
Infinix will never fail to disappoint us
Always dishing out dog shittt and crap to us
Imagine you give note 5 a 4500mah battery and this infinix 7 is 4000mah. Mumu them just dey extort money from Africa.
And it is possible this new one is still on Oreo
When Samsung, Nokia are planing on Android Q

Phones that have long term evolution that can't support glo 4G 28 band 700mhz
They tagg note 5 as android one but it took like forever for Android pie to get to it
Whereas according to the rule of android one. They are supposed to get updates easily and they will get two major updates. Which means they are supposed to get android Q

Same with those overrated Moda fuckkkers called itel, Gionee, Tecno in fact plus Huawei

If you got little money and you need a phone please just exercise patience and save enough that can afford Samsung, Nokia, and iPhone

In fact, the difference between this device and last year's Infinix Hot series devices is minimal. How will they be able to compete with the likes of Samsung which have decided to aggressively go for the budget market with the new M and A series ? Will they be able to deal with Xiaomi and Huawei? Too bad for them.
Phones / Can You Buy Yourself A Samsung Galaxy Fold? by Matikho: 10:24pm On Mar 12, 2019
Samsung Galaxy Fold was made by Samsung to give a statement. For a long time, Samsung has been trying hard to stay on top of Apple, Huawei and other worthy competition by coming up with technology that shakes the mobile world. The Samsung Galaxy Fold is one of the biggest statements by the Korean phone maker so far this year.

Huawei shocked us too with the Huawei Mate X folding phone. Well, both foldable devices are impressive. But there are a few things that come to mind when you take a closer look at them.
If you already know about the Galaxy Fold, is it a device that you might consider buying? Especially when you go through the points below:

It is quite expensive – You nee around $2000 to purchase the Galaxy fold

This Samsung device is really bulky – People are already used to thin light phones.

The high cost of Repair – the cost of repair is likely to be very high because the availability of the device will be limited.

At the end of the day, if you can afford it and you love trying out new technology, you should go for it. Why not? cool

Samsung has released 4 new devices in the S series: Samsung Galaxy S10, Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, and Samsung Galaxy S10e. The S10 5G is not yet available. The other three are available. So, what’s the difference between the three devices? The key differences are outlined below.

Design

S10e: 142.2mm x 69.9mm x 7.9mm, 150g
S10: 149.9mm x 70.4mm x 7.8mm, 157g
S10+: 157.6 x 74.1 x 7.8mm, 175g

Although the three phones have a similar appearance, their dimensions and weight differ. All devices have punch holes at the top right side and are waterproof. The S10 and the S10 Plus have an under-display fingerprint scanner still S10e has a side-mounted scanner.

Display

S10e: 5.8-inch flat,Dynamic AMOLED,Full HD+,19:9
S10: 6.1-inch curved,Dynamic AMOLED,Quad HD+,19:9
S10+: 6.4-inch curved,Dynamic AMOLED,Quad HD+,19:9

The S10 comes with a 6.1-inch screen while the S10 Plus comes with a 6.4-inch display like the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. All the displays are AMOLED and have a 19:9 aspect ratio.

Hardware & Software

S10e: 6/8GB RAM, 128/256GB storage, 3100mAh
S10: 8GB RAM, 128GB/512GB storage, 3400mAh

Cameras

S10e: Dual rear, single front
S10: Triple rear, single front
S10+: Triple rear, dual front

The S10 Plus is undoubtedly the best device in the new series. If you feel the S10 and the S10 Plus prices are on the higher side, you can get yourself the Samsung Galaxy S10e.
Phones / Re: Infinix Hot 7 Specs And Price In Jumia Ng. by Matikho: 6:55am On Mar 12, 2019
Honestly speaking, there is nothing to be excited about this phone. Why would I get rid of my Infinix Hot 6 to buy this phone. Almost everything is the same. It just a different year and name. Infinix should do better.
Phones / Redmi Note 7 And The Redmi Note 7 Pro Are Here -They Shame Other Manufactures! by Matikho: 12:41pm On Mar 01, 2019
These phones shame phones from many manufacturers that come with similar price tags!Value for money. Let’s focus on the Redmi Note 7 Pro and compare it to smartphones recently released by other manufacturers.

Key Specs of the Redmi Note 7 Pro

6.3 Inches display (1080 x 2340 pixels) with Gorilla Glass 5protection
QUALCOMM Snapdragon 675
6GB RAM/128GB ROM or 4GB RAM/64GB ROM
Rear camera: Dual 48MP + 5MP
Front camera: Single 13MP
4000mAh battery (18W fast charging adapter).

The price of this phone starts at approximately 196usd for the 4GB RAM variant, while the price of the 6GB RAM starts at 238usd.

The specs on paper are impressive for the price, right? It shames phones from other manufacturers within its price range, right?

Well, for example, let’s compare it to the recently released Samsung Galaxy A50. The A50 has a 6.4-inch display with the same resolution as the Redmi Note 7 Pro, Exynos 9610 chipset, triple 25MP + 8MP + 5MP rear cameras,25MP front camera and a 4000mAh battery with 15W charging adapter.

A quick look at the specifications reveals that the two phones are not far apart, as far as the specifications are concerned. The key differences are in the cameras, fingerprint scanners placement (the A50 has an under-display scanner) and the type of chipset used. Performance-wise, the two phones have almost the same power. However, their prices are far apart. Price of the Samsung A50 4GB/64GB variant starts at 282usd.

If you were to pick between the two devices, which one will you choose keeping the price difference in mind?

I’m yet to compare this phone with similar spec/price phones from other manufacturers. I’m looking forward to seeing how it will compare to similarly priced phones from Huawei, Oppo and other Chinese manufacturers.

I guess it must be true that Samsung phones are over-rated cool

Phones / Re: Tecno Camon 11 Vs Tecno Camon 11 Pro, Full Specifications & Price!!! by Matikho: 7:55pm On Nov 13, 2018
Tecno Camon 11 is already here. I guess this is the first time Tecno has launched more than 2 Camon phones within the same year, Tecno Camon CM and Tecno Camon X (I'm not counting the Tecno Camon X Pro because it is just the Camon X with a few upgrades). Just like I'm not counting the Tecno Camon 11 Pro

Phones / Re: Infinix Hot 6 Pro Vs Tecno Pouvoir 2 by Matikho: 3:10pm On Jul 07, 2018
I personally think that the Infinix Hot 6 Pro is a better phone than the Pouvoir 2. However, Tecno Pouvior 2 is also a good phone. Buy it if you are on a strict budget. It is also a good choice if you are looking for a phone with a long-lasting battery.

Phones / Re: Infinix zero discussion thread! by Matikho: 6:59pm On Jan 15, 2018
Infinix phones are not as bad as some people try to portray them. Like any other manufactured items, there will be a few defects. Some people have been using Infinix Zero and other phones from Infinix for a long time without any problems. However, there are some who buy a phone and it starts malfunctioning the next day. This happens even with top-level brands such as Apple & Samsung. Do you remember what happened with the Samsung Galaxy Note 7? Well, this also happens with Infinix sometimes. Infinix phones are great! grin

Nokia 3 did not make a comeback as expected. However, the other new Nokia phones (Nokia 3, 5, 6, 8 ) are doing pretty well. I believe were are yet to see outstanding phones from HMD Global.

Phones / Re: Infinix Note 4 Review, Price And More by Matikho: 3:17pm On Jan 15, 2018
I personally believe that Infinix Note 4 is a much better device that the Infinix Note 3. Unfortunately, I wonder why it is not as popular as its older brother was. The Infinix Note 4 Pro is also better than last year's Note 3 pro. Someone make me understand.
Phones / Re: Upcoming Nokia 1 Real Life Images And Leaked Specifications Spotted Online by Matikho: 3:02pm On Jan 15, 2018
Nokia should make more budget phones, phones that are cheaper than the Nokia 2.2. I hope Nokia 1 will be cheaper that the other Nokia budget phones we have seen if Nokia is serious about capturing the budget market and compete effectively with the likes of Tecno & Infinix. I personally think that the difference between the Nokia 6 2018 & the Original Nokia 6 is not significant. I hope the upcoming "second generation" phones will be better than the "originals".
