I scored 57.63 creative art and the merit cut off is 59.38 but my catchment area of Ogun state which is 57.50. What i want to know now is dat, is the catchment cut off the same as merit...wat is my chance of admission...Plssss advise

Big congrats 2 those who were able 2 beat the cut offs released-ochubas, Mr. Eniola and a lot of others. 2 others who were not too lucky now- we live 2 fight another day. Intensify ur effort on other avenues of admissions-Diplomas, other schl's post UTME, change of course, possibly next UTME. TCliff: meaning of ELD

ELDS means Educationally Less Developed States and they re given consideration with lower cut offs than merits like the catchment states but a few of them. They re Adamawa, Bauchi, Bayelsa, Benue, Cross River, Ebonyi, Gombe, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau, Rivers, Sokoto, Taraba, Yobe & Zamfara. Educationally less developed indeed.

assuming the cutoff for Medicine is 80(merit) and the highest for catchment(Lagos) is 70. Will Unilag go so low and make d cutoff 70 for his catchment or Try to skip him to avoid d large difference?

It does not work that way. Assume the said 80, and the highest from a catchment state is 79 and they need only five candidates from that state and the fifth highest is 72, then 72 becomes the catchment cut off for the state for the best five for that state to be admitted. Depend on the performance and number required from that state. Kk

Pls note, no fixed diff, depends the performance of candidates from the state arranged from the highest 2 the lowest and the number required determines the catchment cutoff. No fixed difference. U just prepare for success. Some as low as 10 diff, others just 1: All depend on the performance of candidates from the state.

Ochubas, no problem if u don't want 2 stay in d hostel but it is better 2 stay in the hostel for easy flow of materials like late evening passing of urgent info/materials and tutorials in the night. If u want stay outside school, it is possible, just organize ur money ready, kk. When u get to dat river, u gon cross dat bridge. Success

Thanks madam, I organized free 3 saturdays tutorial for unilag candidates on 23/30 June and 7 JULY and i don't fix appointment. I should leave my job and be running after ur appointment. unilag is a federal uni- cater for all south-west states as catchment while LASU has lagos as locality, u go pay 250,000k ni. No partiality, it is the best arrangement, quota system it is called. All states of the federation have unis with their catchment. Just be Positive.
