sanpipita:Syria's president requested for Russia's help back then. |
Yet some deluded Africans are here are backing NATO because they've been freed physically but mentally they're still slaves to that west. Btw,, the West are still stealing massively from African countries. |
Pls someone should explain to me exactly how a certain country will sanction another country only for the sanctioner to feel the brunt more than the sanctioned...... Isn't that stupidity? ![]() |
Damn!!! .... Someone referred to Biden as a sleepy skeleton. ![]() |
You've answered it yourself... It's non but the one and only US closely followed by Britain and France. |
In my Opinion,,, the US always has a way of manipulating any given circumstances for her Interest. Russia wouldn't lack alternatives to sell its oil and gas too (maybe at a cheaper price) but the EU would now have to pay a hefty price to cut/reduce it's reliance on Russian oil and gas. And also,, its wouldn't for the aim of the EU-US gas deal to be achieved any sooner... It's likely to take some time. Prices of goods are likely to skyrocket soon due to the increase in energy supply and Africa would be affected as well. ALL IN ALL... ~ US got nothing to lose,, they'll gain a lot from this deal. ~ Russia will have little or nothing to lose as well because they'll find alternatives as well and also they're self dependent food wise and energy wise. ~ The EU will be the biggest losers here,, all I hope for is that the pressure shouldn't reach Africa but since we don't have good leaders, all we've got are puppets... The EU might look to Increase it's exploitation of Africa's oil and gas since much of Africa depends on them after all. THE WORLD WILL LIKELY FACE INCREASE IN PRICES OF GOODS AND OTHER COMMODITIES DUE TO THE PRIDE AND SELFISHNESS OF SOME MEN IN THE PLACE OF POWER. |
The US and the EU have announced a major deal on liquified natural gas, in an attempt to reduce Europe's reliance on Russian energy. The agreement will see the US provide the EU with extra gas, equivalent to around 10% of the gas it currently gets from Russia, by the end of the year. The bloc has already said it will cut Russian gas use in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Russia currently supplies about 40% of the EU's gas needs. The new deal will involve the US and other countries supplying an extra 15 billion cubic metres of gas on top of last year's 22 billion cubic metres. The eventual aim is for the US and international partners to provide about 50 billion cubic metres per year to the EU. Cutting reliance on Russia will mean generating more renewable energy and improving energy efficiency as well as increasing imports. The deal was announced on Friday during a three-day visit by US President Joe Biden to Brussels. Mr Biden and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen discussed Russia's invasion of Ukraine and offered fresh support to Kyiv. "Putin is using Russia's energy resources to coerce and manipulate its neighbours," Mr Biden told reporters in Brussels. "He's used the profits to drive his war machine." He said the long term benefits of the deal would outweigh the short term pain that reducing Russian gas supplies would cause. "I know that eliminating Russian gas will have costs for Europe, but it's not only the right thing to do from a moral standpoint, it's going to put us on a much stronger strategic footing." President von der Leyen said: "We want, as Europeans, to diversify away from Russia towards suppliers that we trust that are friends and that are reliable." She pointed out that the target 50 billion cubic metres per year "is replacing one-third already of the Russian gas going to Europe today. So we are right on track now to diversify away from Russian gas." The EU gets 40% of its gas from Russia. If it's to wean itself off that dependency, it needs to get its energy elsewhere. The question is, where from? Gas is already piped from Norway - but those pipelines are already operating at maximum capacity. The EU gets relatively little from the North Sea. New supplies will have to come from further afield, in the form of LNG - gas that's been chilled and liquified. But there's already intense competition for LNG supplies from countries such as Algeria and Qatar, and that's been pushing up prices. The 50 billion cubic metres of gas a year from the US - more than double the current quantity - would certainly be welcome. But it still wouldn't fill the gap if Russian supplies were removed. There are also question marks over how much gas the US can supply, how quickly it can increase exports to the EU - and how much those shipments will cost. The EU has been enjoying cheap gas for many years - but now it seems to have accepted that era is coming to an end. In response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the US is banning all Russian oil and gas imports and the UK will phase out Russian oil imports by the end of 2022. The EU has said it will switch to alternative supplies and make Europe independent from Russian energy "well before 2030". Germany has put on hold permission for the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline from Russia to open. Meanwhile in the UK petrol prices have hit record highs as oil and gas costs soar. Oil jumped to $139 a barrel at one point earlier this month, the highest level for almost 14 years, while wholesale gas prices for next-day delivery more than doubled. A trade mechanism using the Indian rupee and the Russian ruble may be finalised by next week. A rupee-ruble trade will allow the two countries to trade directly without first using a currency like the US dollar for fair value. A trade mechanism using the Indian rupee and the Russian ruble may be finalised by next week. A rupee-ruble trade will allow the two countries to trade directly without first using a currency like the US dollar for fair value. Rupee-ruble trade to be ready by next week: Report The rupee-ruble trade mechanism may be ready as soon as next week. With Russia out of the SWIFT communications system and the country losing access to several international currency markets, India has been looking for alternatives to carry out trade with the strategic partner. One of the alternatives being explored was a rupee-ruble trade pact which would allow the countries to trade directly in each other's respective currencies. Now, the payment arrangement may be announced next week. A Sakthivel, president of the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), told CNBC that the trade mechanism may be unveiled next week. The FIEO is the apex trade promotion organisation set up by the government and represents the interests of 200,000 exporters. Sakthivel added that four to five PSU banks would be selected to engage in the trade, and the banks will be decided based on the consultations between the Reserve Bank of India governor, the finance minister and the banks. While Russia’s bilateral trade with India is small, it is of strategic importance due to Russian military hardware and support that India relies on. Additionally, with the departure of hundreds of western companies from Russia amid continuing sanctions, Indian organisations have an opportunity to establish themselves within the country. “Export to Russia is not much, only in agriculture and pharmacy products. Now that the whole of the West is banning Russia, there will be a lot of opportunities for Indian firms to enter Russia,” Sakthivel said. Many countries (especially Asians and South Americans countries) will follow suit soon enough hence, reducing global reliance on US dollars and also reducing her relevance across the globe.

piliwow:You forgot to add they'll buy at higher cost... |
ayindejimmy:Of course the US is being manipulative except if you're looking at this from a biased point of view or you're pro west. The US will do exactly what Russia is presently doing should Russia try to create an alliance with any of her neighbors and also,, NATO continual expansion eastwards triggered Russia's response..... Putin wanting pay in rubles is aimed at strengthening the already depreciating rubles and also to reduce dependence on US dollars since it's now obvious they're using the dollar as an advantage over the world to manipulate others into doing what they want. ![]() The EU reducing their dependence on Russian oil and gas is aimed at limiting it's dependence on Russia Just like Russia,,China and others are also trying to limit their dependance on US dollars..... IT'S ALL A MATTER OF INTEREST AND DOMINANCE. Now look at it this way,,, should the EU turn to US as they plan they would for gas supply... They'll have to pay higher... Hence cost of production will also increase across the EU and cost of everything will skyrocket as well,, meaning the EU successfully reduced their dependence on Russia at a hefty cost and also the US will increase it's economy massively. Russia on the other hand won't be on the losing side,,, they'll find alternatives as well and they're likely to sell at a cheaper price. At the end of all of this you'll find out that the EU would be the big losers here except if they'll increase their rate of stealing from Africa's resources. ALL IN ALL,,, A BIG ENERGY CRISIS IS LOOMING AND PRICES OF GOOD WILL INCREASE GLOBALLY AND IT'LL AFFECT EVERYONE JUST BECAUSE OF THE PRIDE OF SOME MEN. |
ayindejimmy:The problem was never finding alternatives,, the problem is the time it'll take to do so and also the hefty price it'll come with. Just heard that the US will supply shipped gas to the EU soon.... Which means more cost for her citizens and big cash out for the US. The US always have a way of manipulating any given situation for her Interest. ![]() |
Igbofam:Abeg rest.... I've heard/seen up to 5 reports for the past three weeks about this man being killed already. Abi them they resurrect am day kill am again ni? ![]() |

Graphic photo of his body or I ain't believing this shit. ![]() |
Some of these assumptions from the opposite gender makes me laugh really hard. ![]() |
Choilila:All the discussions made on platforms like radios,, social media etc. How many reach Buhari's ear? And then the ones that managed to reach government ears,, what have they done with it other than throwing it in the trash? If you're yet to know the kinda country you live in then it's a pitiable situation..... And also,, this topic isn't so bad after all. |
FERNANDEZISBACK:Be like say Putin Don knack this one wetin no good..... I am kinda surprised about your obsession with someone who doesn't know you're existing. Are you hiding something? ![]() |

PointZerom:Every team that signs a player from Russian league or the Ukrainian league will be allowed to register them despite the fact that the transfer window and players registration is currently closed.... The decision was made to aid players seeking to leave Russia or Ukraine and not just available to any country okay. So yes,, Chelsea can participate if they sign any player from the Ukrainian or Russian league. |
Mcdaniels06:Nope,, Dani Alves wasn't sign from Ukraine or Russia league. |
etoluw:They can only sign and register players from the Ukrainian and Russian league only... Read to understand pls. |
PointZerom:Read to Understand pls |
PJtech:It's not any player and neither is it for Russians and Ukrainian players,,, the offer is for all footballers who play in the Russian or Ukrainian league. |
alphaconde:Yep,, UEFA opened the transfer window for players playing in Ukrainian League and Russian league to be signed earlier.... Now they're also allowing teams who signed players from those leagues to be able to register them despite the fact that the room for signing players and registering them is presently closed..... Hope you get it now. ![]() |
Pls make them calm down first,,, we never recover from their scam (Covid 19).. .. Them wan start another one again. ![]() |
Good one... So far this gender equality thing is 100% biased/selective,, then it's useless. Why should you want equality when it comes to enjoying and rebuke equality when it comes to certain things that require good labour? ![]() |
NigeriaNawa:And Russia is left behind in modern technology huh? Though a Military confrontation between NATO and Russia means the odds will be against Russia by far,, the main point of focus here should be the Nuclear weapons. Putin himself knows that he can't cause a significant damage to NATO militarily,, hence the constant threat to deploy nuclear weapons. And when it comes to Nuclear weapons,, everyone is definitely gonna lose big time. |
classicfrank4u:You can check that out from a verified source if you want,,, the guy above is right. |
Dalil8:Not really afraid of Russia's military might,, but the Nuclear weapons at her disposal. The West will do everything possible to avoid a nuclear catastrophe because they know that both side will be affecting for a long time (if not forever ). |
Come... Which women are you referring to like this? Are they from Mars or they're the ones we are with in this world? Pls I need to know ![]() |
