when you charge it with a desktop charger, does it last?

@mave....tanks for d response,i av tried with difrent USB cable and also tryd wit d original S5 charger to no avail,i gave d fone to a technician to check wat d prob is n he said its the charging port wich he changed but d fone still not chargin but instead dischargin d battery at a lightning speed.wat else cud be d cause?

your phone must be rooted, download MTK Droid & Root tools. here's the link http://www.mediafire.com/download/6z9acf5um65cuj2/MtkDroidTools+v2.5.3.zip
open the back of your phone, remove the battery and look for the IMEI its written there. write it out, both of them.
now open the installed software on you PC and connect your phone to the PC( make sure ADB driver is installed and USB debugging is turned on in your device)
Click ROOT then on your phone SuperSU will Popup, grant it permission.
Click IMEI/NVRAM, it should bring a pop-up. type the IMEI you copied for sim 1 and sim 2.
Click update/Ok
After it's done, Reboot your phone.

your USB Cable might be bad or your charger. and why did you change the charging port?

Please house am in need of serious help....my samsung galaxy S5 is not charging,the moment i plug it,the charging indicator lite comes on(Red) which means that its charging but the truth is that the phone is not charging at all,instead its discharging at a very fast rate weda in use or without use,i just changed d entire charging port but problem still persist.

I do manage to charge the battery with a desktop charger but d moment i insert it into d fone den d batry starts goin down at a very fast pace.....please sumone shud help cos dis is getin me so angry.

first clear the data of Google play services, that's for the playstore crashing issue. then for your games, the data might be corrupt, try clearing the data also, and reboot into your recovery, then clear your cache, ONLY CACHE . then reboot (SOME PAID GAMES FORCE CLOSE ON DEVICES THAT INSTALL THEM ILLEGALLY

so far that's hard, but try backing up the imei ie. EFS backup. there should be a way to edit the EFS file since it contains the IMEI. then you can restore the EFS file. it's just a Theory.

Iphone 6= if you want something fast, with a good camera and it will definitely give you some rep. but when it falls, ewoh!!!
Galaxy S5= if you want something durable (yeah, it's water proof. not HOT WATER sha), better battery, more storage, better screen quality, more flexibility in terms of apps and troubleshooting(no much apple geeks in your area i guess, Yeah, i know i'm right).

nawa oh. all that battery capacity, you want buy car battery think of how long it'll take you to charge it full 7hrs? yeah it has fast charging, that's a new feature so don't thinks it's perfect. when you buy the phone and it starts getting hot when you charge it you'll complain. why not a good phone that can optimize it's 2800mah to serve you well and get a spare battery(it's not heavy like a power bank). now that's 5600mah

almost true, linux Ubuntu is really good. i switch between windows and ubuntu. the issue is there aren't much software for linux except you want to Install wine on your ubuntu pc to run windows apps. but why go through that stress? just stick to windows. almost every hardware is supported but how about the drivers? i lost all my trackpad gestures when using linux because i couldn't install the required driver for the hardware, stuff like that. MB & MBP are really good. they have a good ecosytem, everything is integrated perfectly. you need to use a Mac before you complain about it not being good. i've been there. the fact is most people hate change, you can't compare yourselves with a fellow who owns a mac and is willing to buy every software he wants with his money. cos that's one issue with PC users. they will always look for a cracked version of every paid app. i will too as long as its a windows software. it all boils down to what you like. not everyone likes freedom, it can either help you or kill you. Android Phone rooters can explain better

if e like, carry 100 gigapixel, that is not the issue. pixel is for resolution. doesn't mean the picture quality is better.

has anyone ever tried flashing zip files through CWM? cos when I do, I get a boot loop but after wiping dalvik cache and formatting data the flashed files work.
