Naija News reports that Falz samples three of Fela Anikulapo Kuti’s songs in the Album released today.

While some praised and lauded his achievement in the Music entertainment industry for daring the uncommon trend, some insulted him for his illustrations in the Album.

Yusuf Bala, the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State has assured that the Southern Kaduna Senatorial District will deliver 90 percent votes to President Muhammadu Buhari in the forthcoming presidential election.

Bala disclosed this after a delegation of All Progressives Congress (APC) had a closed door meeting with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo at the Presidential Villa, Abuja yesterday.

He said that the delegation felicitated with the Federal Government and acknowledged the work it had done for the nation in the last three and a half years.


“Particularly as it affects the poor people who are 80 per cent voter-based and to assure the vice president that because of the much work that has been done; the next election is as good as delivered.

“We are here to say that by over 90 per cent, we will deliver the president and vice president in the next election as well as the governor and his deputy among others including myself the senatorial candidate for the zone.’’

The deputy governor said that Osinbajo had warmed himself into the hearts of many Nigerians through various grassroots programmes he championed.


The Southern Kaduna APC Senatorial candidate added that part of the reason for the visit was also to invite the vice president to the zone.

“We have also come to request kindly to be part of these efforts; he has endeared himself to Nigerians through so many programmes that have led him through the poor people of this country; the creeks; the roads; the markets; the farmers and so on.

“So I want him to come to the zone to flag off our door to door campaign and hopefully carry out one of these programmes within the zone,’’ he said.


Other important personalities present include, Dr Hadiza Balarabe, the running mate to state Governor, Nasir El-Rufai in the fast approaching governorship election, members of the state assembly, party leaders and candidates for various elective positions.

The death toll from a huge blaze in northern California rose to 42 on Monday, making it the deadliest wildfire in state history.

Thousands of firefighters spent a fifth day digging battle lines to contain the “Camp Fire” in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains north of Sacramento, while search teams were on a grim mission to recover the dead.

“As of today, an additional 13 human remains have been recovered, which brings the total number to 42,” Sheriff Kory Honea told a news conference.

The blaze is “the deadliest wildland fire in California history,” Honea said.

Although it is difficult to be certain due to inconsistencies in record keeping and categorization, the Camp Fire appears to deadliest American wildfire in a century — since the Cloquet Fire killed an estimated 1,000 people in Minnesota in 1918.

The Camp Fire is the largest of several infernos that have sent a quarter of a million people fleeing their homes across the tinder-dry state, with winds of up to 60 miles (100 kilometres) per hour fanning the fast-moving flames.

In addition to the historic loss of life, the Camp Fire blaze is also more destructive than any other on record, having razed 6,500 homes in the town of Paradise, effectively wiping it off the map.

The acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mr. Ibrahim Magu, has challenged a journalist questioning the source of wealth of All Progressives Congress chieftain, Bola Tinubu.

The aspiration of Senator Magnus Abe to become the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Rivers State has been dashed.

This is after the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, published the list of governorship candidates for the 2019 election in the state on Friday.

The aspirant produced by the Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi faction of party, Tonye Dele Cole was recognized as the party’s flagbearer by INEC, in the list pasted at its office in Port Harcourt.

A Deputy National Secretary of the APC, Victor Giadom was also published as Cole’s running mate.

Both Cole and Giadom are products of an indirect primary election.

The spokesperson of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Fatai Olotu, representing Akoko North-East state constituency at the house, has disclosed that the impeachment of the former Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun and his deputy, Rt. Hon. Iroju Ogundeji was due to alleged incompetence and financial misappropriation.

Olotu who spoke with DAILY POST on Thursday maintained that within the spate of six months the former leadership exhausted N1.5 billion budgetary allocation of the house meant to last one year.

He stated that the impeachment is in accordance with the law as 18 out of 26 members of the house supported their removal, which he said formed two-third majority needed and was also witnessed by the clerk of the house, Mr. Bode Adeyelu.

He said “In accordance with the rule guiding the house and by the power conferred on members of the house, the house as at today has successfully impeached the former speaker and deputy speaker.

“Immediately after their removal, Rt. Hon. Olamide George from Akure North state constituency was elected as speaker and was duly sworn in by the clerk of the house. Rt. Hon. Abimbola Fajolu representing Ile-Oluji/Oke-Igbo was also sworn in.

“For the avoidance of doubt, 18 members moved for their removal, that’s to say that’s two-third of the members of the house, so we’ve fulfilled that requirement.

“There are many reasons for their removal, but I want you to know that changing leadership is an inherent right of the members of the house. But this former speaker of the house has shown great incompetence. The have run the house aground financially.

The Presidency says President Muhammadu Buhari departs Abuja on Friday for Paris, France.

According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, the President is scheduled to participate in the first edition of the Paris Peace Forum slated for November 11 to 13.

Adesina said the forum, organised by the French Government and a number of Non-Governmental Organisations, was based on the “simple idea that international cooperation is key to tackling global challenges and ensuring durable peace.”

The presidential spokesman said the Nigerian President would join the United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, and other world leaders in discussing contributions towards global peace while underscoring the imperative of collective action.

The statement added, “While in Paris, President Buhari will also join other world leaders to commemorate the centenary anniversary of the Armistice signed on November 11, 1918 between the Allied Forces and Germany in the forest of Compiegne in France to end the First World War.

“During his visit to Paris, President Buhari will attend a luncheon hosted by President Emmanuel Macron of France in honour of visiting heads of delegations.
“Before returning to Abuja, the President and his delegation will have an interactive session with the Nigerian community in France.”

Buhari, according to the statement, will be accompanied on the trip by three state governors and other top government officials.
They include Aminu Masari (Katsina); Willie Obiano (Anambra) and Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti).

A former Governor of Ebonyi State and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Sam Egwu has said it would be difficult for his party to defeat President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.
