Who told you that? Kingship is both leadership and religious. All Obas in the past without exception undertook ascension rituals including the late Awujale. Why didn't he tell them then that he was a Muslim and wouldn't do the rituals. Also, who appoints Obas in the past? In Yoruba land they use Ifa. Is Ifa a Christian or Muslim contraption? I agree we do away with certain barbaric aspects of traditional religion but to totally throw away the baby with the tap water is unacceptable. We should be proud of the heritage of our forefathers and not allow Whites and Arabs keep indoctrinating us with their own values. The burial of a king in Yoruba land from time immemorial is the duty of the Ogbonis and Osugbos. Can Christian ethos be used to bury the Sultan? Will Muslims agree to that?

culture is the way a group lives. The way we live now is our Culture! If you want to hold on to the past, why not seek the continuation of slavery? Or was that not our culture once? Or human sacrifice? That statement that "the only constant thing is change" refers to culture! Culture is meant to change, expected to change! Culture must continue to evolve with time!

Worshipping idols used to be our culture! Most of us are no longer traditional worshippers. Our culture has changed! Accept it!!!

So, our own is idols according to white man indoctrination but their own is true God. Use your sense, pal. Whites and Arabs branded their God as the true God and called yours the fake God and you still accepted it even after giving you education. You need to emancipate yourself.

Buhari had no choice because if not for Abiolas death Buhari probably would not have become president. Shehu Sani was an active participant in pro- June 12 struggle and knows more than all the opportunists ADC and their supporters. What were the contributions of Atiku, El-Rufai, Ameachi, David Mark, Peter Obi to June 12 struggle? Even Sowore played a more active role than all this people as Unilag Student Union leader. With Gani, Dr Beko Kuti, Felas brother, Frank Kokori and several others.
