This Article contains the Biography Of Adebayo Adekola Adelabu [Penkelemesi] Adebayo Adekola Adelabu was Born on Monday, 28 September 1970, to the family of Mr & Mrs Aderibigbe Adelabu Of Adegoke Adelabu’s compound, Oke-oluokun, kudeti area, Ibadan, Oyo State. Adebayo Adekola Adelabu is a second generation direct descendant of the Late Alhaji Honorable Ggbadamosi Oduola Akande Adegoke Adelabu. Late Alhaji Honorable Ggbadamosi (popularly known as Penkelemesi) is the most flamboyant and articulate grassroots politician of the pre-independence political era. He is also Nigeria’s first Federal Minister of Social Services and Natural Resources. Biography of Adebayo Adekola Adelabu: Academic Pursuit As great men are like eagles that build their nests on some lofty solitude. Adebayo Adekola had his primary education at lbadan Municipal government Primary School, Agodi Ibadan between 1976 and 1982. He Completed His secondary school education at the famous Lagelu Grammar School, Ibadan between 1982 and 1987 with Distinctions Bayo holds a First Class Degree in Accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. Adebayo Adekola Adelabu is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. He is also an Associate Member of the Institute of Directors of Nigeria and the United Kingdom. Biography of Adebayo Adekola Adelabu: Career Adebayo Adekola Adelabu, until his appointment as Deputy Governor (Operations) of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) by former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan in February 2014 was for about five years, an Executive Director/Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of First Bank of Nigeria Plc. (FBN). Prior to that, he held the positions of General Manager as the West African Regional Head of Finance and Strategy (Consumer Banking Business) for Standard Chartered Bank. He had his professional training with Price Water house (now Price water house Coopers), an international firm of Chartered Accountants and Management Consultants where he worked for seven years. While with the firm, he led and managed various audit and consultancy engagements for large banks and non-bank financial institutions within and outside Nigeria. He was also on secondment to the CBN for one year (in 1999) when he led the Finance team on the CBN re-engineering and corporate renewal project tagged (Project Eagles). He left the firm in year 2000 as an Audit Manager and Senior Consultant to join First Atlantic Bank as the Financial Controller and Group Heard of Risk Management and Controls. He also held various other positions while in First Atlantic Bank including the Chief Inspector of the Bank (2002) and Group Head of National Public Sector Business (2003). What is Wrong Focus? Wrong Focus is a barren even if you choose to make your opinion or decision strong with it I caught this word sometimes ago; THOSE THAT ARE WRONG ARE ALSO BUSY. It came to my mind during a thoughtful meditation on the issues of life. It is possible you are wrong yet you may choose to make yourself strong with what is wrong. Your focus is wrong when it is born out of frustration. Any focus born out frustration has no great future with faith. Faith can make right or wrong focus strong. Consider students who pases or fail exams; the entire students write the exam but the result separate those who pass from those that fail. Focus either right or wrong has a way of keeping people busy. Wrong focus has a way of keeping man busy. The fact that you are busy does not imply that you are doing the right thing. Likewise that you are idle does not mean that you are wise. Any decision you take with wrong focus will subject you to frustration. It takes the appropriation of personal interest to get focus right. Getting focus right remains the decision of personal interest. You need to be matured to know and understand your area of interest in the issues of life before you can get your focus right and stop wasting time. What is Focus? Focus can be defined as what you intend to do or achieve; it is a formulation of personal interest. What is Wrong Focus? You may enjoy right counsel or advice while trying to get your focus right but you need to be responsible to decide what will be your focus or make up your focus. I mean you are designed to discover the content of your focus. Focus On What Matters When what you don’t have becomes your focus, you are bound to lose what you have. Divinely, what you have is needful. Whatever is needful remained helpful. The challenge with many people who fail to excel in life is that they are deceived to focus on what they don’t have at the expense of losing the knowledge of what they have.
