This dollar rise is affecting business in Nigeria. Thank God Tecno phones are still affordable.

They won't bring to Nigeria,most phones chipped here are crapy compared to what they released in India

On a serious note however. Op I'll advice you go for camon c8. Gionee lied to all of us. We were promised a 64bit 1.3ghz quadcore chipset, which supports 4g and sports the malit720 gpu. What we got after months of waiting was none other than that crappy low end chipset. The camon c8 is 64bit, supports 4g(if it works, it's on an 'as is' basis), new opengl3.1 compliant gpu (malit720) but the battery sucks and it lacks international recognition. The camon c8 also comes with 1gb ram, m5mini however is 2gb ram. So Op chose wisely.

GIONEE M5 MINI is better. FISTLY tecno c8 is not compass enabled. tecno phones are not globally recognised infact they are not available on gsmarena.

The two phones are good but they are not in the same price range. In camera department, they seem to have the same quality in a well lit condition but the Camon C8 dual flash helps to shoot a better photos even in gross darkness

that was the reason I bought it at the very first place,I bought it as my second phone, my HTC phone don dey rest ever since I got this one, HTC phones are nice but they have annoying batteries .

I just got this phone in Kaduna and I was particular about the battery life and though it's non removable, I can authoritatively say it here that I have never seen a battery in any android that is this good.
I said this because am a big fan of smartphones with large batteries, before now I have used almost all the m and mini series of Gionee phones but this phone is massive and impressive.
Meanwhile, this is my first Tecno smartphone.
I don't regret getting this phone,it really has served it purpose.

Gionee M5 mini is the same with Infinix Hot 2 only the battery is better. Camon c8 is ahead of M5 mini

It was fun and excitement galore yesterday as the grand finale of the Tecno ownthestage was held at the exquisite Ultima studio in Lekki Nigeria.


People from all walks of life grace the show as Shapeera makepeace from Nigeria emerged winner, Nandy from Tanzania came second while Pascal from Kenya was the second runner up. The prize money was $25,000, $15,000 and $10,000 respectively.

All The three winners also won for themselves a phantom 5 smartphone. One thing is sure we all gonna miss this show on Sundays . I can't wait for the second edition

The Gionee phone I used last gave me a serious problem. they should rectified the heating problem of their devices. For now, running away from them

My room is using the phone and we have done both.. Low light and bright conditions test.. So abeg.. Small small.. If it's the fast charge.. Eheen.. It's more appreciated in hot note.. But camera and looks.. Pls no go there..

Innjoo camera outputs are whitish, not really deep in color.

Honestly, they have changed the game for phone brands in Nigeria. Everybody in Nigeria now knows Tecno.
