When your laptop is fixed, you'll have to test it properly before leaving.
Since you're the one using it, you'll be the one to know if something else comes up after that you can use like 20-30mins to test it.

For the webcam, you'll still have to replace it too but first of all go to device manager and check if you will see IMAGING DEVICE among the list of drivers there.

I used to have issue with most engr. (please pardon my upfront). I don't want to lose the system right now. I always have this fear once the system or motherboard is dissembled for diagnostic and assembled after completion, is either one component not working again or add to the initial problem. Sometimes, it could be backlight, sound system, one keypad not working etc. At the end, I mostly abandon the system and seek to get new one. This has been my experience with engr. and thus my fear.

Apart from webcam and wifi, everything is working perfectly.

My webcam and wifi not working anymore it's been three (3) months now still on it. If there is anything I could to bring it back to life I wouldn't be here. The profession in the house kindly help find lasting solutions to this.

Have troubleshoot the system, uninstalled drivers and re installed updated my system drivers but all to no avail.

Use another PC to sign in the Microsoft account you are using on your laptop to get the BitLocker key. You will find it under the security option.

I suggest you specify your location for further assistance. It is a hardware issue probably due to a failed WiFi adapter or terminal disconnected. For camera; you need to be sure that privacy settings that allow system to have access to camera is enabled.

You never explain your bad experience with them. If only you knew whats on my mind. Phone and laptop engineer have made me become one. I cant count numbers of times I took my laptop for repair, something will surely be missing. I wanted to repair laptop monitor hinge, it was repaired but camera not working again or missing. I took it back to complain, it was not fixed but laptop speaker missing again. I went to another engineer, he couldn't repair it instead backlight not working. It was such a bad experience in computer village. I had to buy new laptop.
And funniest thang, I was always there during the repair.


Also, I had problem with my phone charging port. The engineer repaired the phone but my battery was changed. Now, a phone I used to charge for two hours to full before now charging for two days to full.

These so called engineers are scaring sometimes. I had to become a phone and laptop engineer on my own.

Bad market

When you hear the current price of some building materials nowadays, you imagine, will I ever own a house? By the time you do your maths, you realize nothing is left in your salary to save not to talk of planning to build.

These days, is more like a fight, of cos, price of fuel is still dancing in the capital market which affects virtually most things especially transport and products haulage around the country but not for building materials in Nigeria where the price never come down. Price of bag of Cement for instance, now #9,500 in Lagos. In some other states #10,000 or #10,200. No hope of going down. No one to rescue us from this gruesome demand. What have we done to deserve this? Why the construction industry?

The real estate are cashing out as well. I can't blame them, building materials are so expensive. They are all into business to make profit. You hear 2-bedroom flat 75m for the onlookers, $600m for real one etc.


How about price of iron rod? Here in Lagos is between 1.1m to 1.25m per ton. Ah! Building Construction is for the elites. For the real men. What was sold for 210k per ton five years ago. I remember For Festac when I needed to construct drainage work. For every ton I bought I made gain of 20k not bad for a take but can't happen this time without being overly scrutinized. We would buy in bulks that would cover for the project. There was available resources.

Sharpsand and granite are not spared. How come some few part of Nigeria suffered the prevailing market price the most. In Lagos alone, you have different prices in different location like 30tons sharpsand is 220k, 230k 250k, 280k, 300k, 320k, 330k, 350k. But why? Why difference in price? Most suppliers complaint is fuel, transport and location determine price. This is ridiculous. Even when the price of fuel was reduced, this has no effect on the price. Who have done this to us?

Granite not spared, around Festac is 630k for 30tons. whereby around V.I is 580k. The price varies and these affect budget. In quarry where these is loaded the price is constant but move it aboard so expensive. If you have truck, that's an advantage for you.


What I appreciate the most are the new local manufacturer in roofing sheet materials. We should have competitions. Enought competitors to drag away price on the neck. Roofing sheet materials come in different types and prices like long span aluminum roofing, asbestos corrugated roof, stone coated roofing sheet etc they all come in their price ranging from 3500 -19,500. All depends on type, size, quality, materials and location

Finishing materials are no where to rattle with. Some are imported materials. The cost and time to clear from port alone is so disheartening. Although most of these materials are not produced in Nigeria, they are so expensive. We have some tiles produced in Lagos like 300 by 600, 600 by 600, 1200 by 1200 and the range from 5000, to 25,000 depend on your taste.

If you are planning budget or quote for a building construction consider many factors before you conclude be sure of the validity period cos the prices change every moment.

All what you want are still desire but those reasons you made for wanting to marry are things that raised too manu questions.

You don't need those stuff to marry. Improve in your self esteem. Marriage is what matters but do you have the financial capabilities? If you have, of cos you can marry as many single mothers as you can so far it's what make you happy and you have the means and mental health to take up responsibilities.

But why must you think about single mother? And you don't like raising your own child with the fear of the future age. And why you don't want to marry single lady or even the one in wheel chair as you discussed? Do you have infertility problems? Then, your family. You are the one to take responsibility of of whom you want to marry. So you decide who you want to marry and present to your family that's why you need to work on your self esteem.

Besides i don't know what give us impression that until we marry or have a child, or be wealthy that we have a fulfilled life. It should not be. These worldly things are what kill us the most money, women, children and wealth.

I believe we can live a life, be better person, be fulfilled with few or without all these things.

The reason for you wanting to marry not encouraging... You need to change your mindset cos many women won't buy the idea. So improve your self esteem it's affecting you.

My family won't join me in a meeting for a divorce. They won't, they prefer we settle. We spent so much money for the marriage. So they won't join me. I knew within myself the marriage is over once she decided to leave on her own. Cos I don't know what she would bring back where she went to. I felt so bad about it especially my lil girl

I was deranged for a week when she left cos I wasn't prepared for this. At a point, I thought she was kidnapped not until her uncle told me she was around with a friend. A week after she left, her dad told me she is now with him.

What can I make of this?

My wife left home in the evening around 6pm with my baby girl on 6th January, 2024 though I was on bed sleeping. Around 7pm, I called her to know her whereabout but didn't answer my call. So worried, around 10pm I called her uncle but didn't answer my call either.

I went straight to my landlord to discuss this issue perhaps he might advise me on what to do. He told me to stay calm until morning.

On 7th January 2024 Monday morning I called her phone, rang still didn't answer the call. I called her uncle again, this time he answered my call. He told me he would call her. Some hours later, he called me and said she was staying with a friend around.

A day before she left home we only had slight quarrel and it all dwell on issue relating to a story of her friends husband who was kidnapped but later freed with a ramson of 200k. I only advise her to avoid keeping late night company especially in the area we live and she took quarrel from that I also came home late at times from work. Since the quarrel, i never had any conversation with her, I was afraid she might start verbal abuse. I kept low key all through the day until night she left with the baby. Unfortunately, she didn't pick any of her luggages. She ran away

Prior to the day she left, I gave her 35k for baby school fee to send to the school account and forward the receipt to me. She never did. The school would resume a day she left. Have already washed the baby, iron and hung the baby clothes the day.

Two days after I called her dad, he told me he would call her.

Long story short her dad told me to organize meeting between my family and her family to settle matter.

To be sincere I'm not interested in the meeting for any settlement but only my baby girl she ran away with.

Over the years I have faced her verbal abuse, provocation, lies, chronic insult, treat that she would Japa with my baby without looking back.

Sometimes I would be at work, she would lie to me she was pregnant she had done test here and there. I would be happy after a while nothing will be in stomach. She had said this at least six times especially when I would be at work cos I travel every week and come back weekend. At a point I never believed her. But closely I felt she aborted the baby.

At a point in time, I reported her to her family. Why I knew was lying, whenever we had quarrel she would say even if she has pregnant for me again she would rather abort it than remain in her womb.

The marriage was just 5years with a baby. Two weeks before she left we went to lab for pregnancy test on her request. She was positive. We were asked to come back for scan in January to know numbers of weeks of pregnancy.

Now she ran with my baby. I don't know if she is still pregnant or has aborted it.


I tried my best to remain in the marriage especially for the little baby. I don't want a situation where my baby will be trained by a single mother. I know what this our society has become of children raised by single mother or children with broken homes. I don't want that for myself. I don't want in future where my child will point at me and say why did you give me life when you couldn't care for me and see what I have become out of broken homes.

This has just happened to me. I don't know if marriage really worth it or deserves seeking for when eventually it ended in divorce or separation.

I witnessed my parent raised their children up each one struggling to make a living for a better and responsible children. Though they had fight every minute but no matter the weight of their fight, my mom would stay back not for anything but for her children. Now my dad died, with all the wives he had, my mum was the only one who stayed and took care of my dad on his sick bed

She now became landlady after the demise of my dad.
