As an inner caucus member of the opposition organizers from the Obidient side, I can confidently tell you all that Atiku is working for Tinubu with hope that Tinubu will help him emerge President in 2031 because I cannot understand why Atiku after agreeing at that crucial meeting held before New Year that Obi decamped, will turnaround to start saying he would contest 2027 election after giving us his words. Dele Momodu is misleading him. Peter Obi plans to do only one tenure and then Atiku can come in but his ego is taking over his common sense.



I wonder why Atiku can't sense the body language of the Nigerian youths who makeup majority of the voters in Nigeria. The youths want Peter Obi plus the South-North rotational Presidency sentiments, Atiku keep miscalculating and missing out. That was how he miscalculated in 2015 he should have convinced fellow Northerners to back Goodluck Jonathan in 2015 knowing fully well that after Goodluck Jonathan the next biggest Northern political figure in PDP then was him and meaning he would have succeeded Goodluck Jonathan but his usual ego and miscalculation made him lead a Northern revolt against Goodluck only to join forces to help Buhari and Tinubu fulfill their ill-fated ambitions to become President. Atiku is a non strategic egotistical politician that does not deserve the Nigerian presidency. He could have become president after OBJ’s first term but wasn’t ruthless enough, then again in 2015 by backing Jonathan for a single term but was driven by ego and then again in 2023 by not choosing Wike as VP candidate, he miscalculated again. In 2027, the failed bandwagon of contract politicians like momudu, that mr nollywood and dino milaye are sharpening their teeth for Atikus wallet again and he’s too stupid, egotistical and deluded to see failure staring right at him.

What most folks don’t understand is the current shenanigans is more about who becomes VP in 2031 and many power blocs in the APC SS/SE (Hope, Akpabio, Umahi etc) would want to gradually cut Wike to size by their recent comments and eventually scheme him out.

Even PBATs recent appointment of Magnus Abe and Kobani is also to increase his direct loyalists in Rivers & reduce Wike’s influence. Of course Wike isn’t stupid, he is starting to see the writing on the wall and would fight tooth and nail to remain relevant beyond 2027, I dare say even as PDP’s VP candidate.

I don’t see PBAT interfering by sacking Wike, that would only inflame the situation. He will allow both sides work for him, after all, the presidential elections are before the gubernatorials and then let them slug it out at the gubernatorial, it wouldn’t matter to him at this point.
Post 2027, Wike will most likely be fully thrown under the bus as PBAT will definitely want to decide who becomes president and VP after him to sustain his legacies and keep EFCC @ bay. I don’t see PBAT selecting a Wike
