1. Nope you don't need an international passport, but without an international passport you can't get a visa, for visa free countries the airline won't lift you

2. Yes, if its still available when you want to pay

3. Yes you would need a transit visa

We felt it would be easier if we used an agent.. I've gotten the jw202 but it's a diff course and school

At Abuja embassy i didn't use agents. Why would a young vibrant scholar use agent for visa?
Go to the embassy and follow the procedure, its very easy for students unless you have trust issues with yourself.
The embassy has days for application submission, interview and visa pickup. You pay just 8k on the day of pickup.
Do your medicals at a government owned hospital.(Fed.medical centers)

I was given a different course and a different school from what we agreed on with the agent... But the agent told us that this doesn't mean anything, that getting admission and getting into China is more important,that when i get to China I can go to whatever school i want or whichever course i want...

jilin university MBBS in English is 29k rmb per year,that's like 1.3m per year,its a reputable school,their graduate are good,google is your friend, research yourself and check those China univ ranking,and mind you not all accepts Nigerians

What about the accommodation, how affordable is it and does the tuition fee reduce or remains the same throughout

It isn't possible cos I heard from someone dat it is impossible to do matric twice in the same school, don't know how true it is tho.
