An impeccable source one of the prominent
leaders of Academic Staff Union of
Universities, ASUU, who pleaded anonymity
because he was not authorized to comment on
this yet has disclosed to one of our
correspondents that the suspended ASUU
Nation Executive Committee, NEC meeting
earlier postponed in honour of Late Prof.
Festus Iyayi, a renown novelist, former ASUU
president and prominent leader of ASUU may
be reconvened on Saturday.
He reiterated that the news of of Prof Iyayi’s
sudden death came as a rude shock to the
union; most painfully, Late Iyayi was on ASUU
official assignment when he met his gruesome
and untimely death, so there was nothing the
Union could do to honour the late hero at the
point than to put on hold it NEC meeting
scheduled to hold in Kano. “There is strong
indication that the NEC meeting will be
reconvened on Saturday”. He further stated in
strong term that unless ASUU leaders re-
decides, the NEC meeting will hold on
Saturday.
When asked if the strike will actually be
suspended, he said: “I think so, judging by
reports from the Monday congresses we held
simultaneously, the union may suspend the
strike on Saturday or Sunday.”
It will be recalled that ASUU had suspended
indefinitely it NEC meeting where decision to
either end or continue the lingering strike
will
be taken due to the death of Late Prof. Festus
Iyayi, a former ASUU president.

Politics › Re: Opon Imo (aregbesola) VS Laptop (peter Obi) by mayorall(m): 10:08am On Nov 14, 2013
Gov peter obi of anambra recently donated 22,500 laptops to students of anambra state plus 1400 printer at the rate of #2.65billion.
While his osun state counterpart donated just 3600 "opom imo ipad" at #8.6billion to osun state students.
Compare 22,500 laptops plus 1400 printer
with Osun state 3600 Opom Imo fraud
•22,500 laptops plus 1400 printer =
2.65billion
•3,600 Opom Imo ipad = 8.6billion
Can you spot the disparity?
Now who is decieving?who is truly the progressive?
Must you always show you are an illiterate, "opon imo ipad". Ipad is made by Apple that is why its called Ipad. Moreover, opon imo is a tablet. People with laptop are now going for tablets and pads course they want something more convenient and make them comfortable. Get a life and stop being a disgrace to this country. Foreigners please dont mind him.

mukhcech: The only way this Error can be traced is if you had filled the Deposit Data form with the real amount u had paid to the Cashier.Knowing this fully well. The bankers on the Counter that day will be the ones to bear the brunt unless, the fire had reached the section where the Monies were kept. I will suggest as a Good man that I knw you are to visit the bank and discuss this with the Cashier you had made the transaction with since you still had the Teller you filled with your own hands. I hope u will meet the lady on sit-Unlikely if the Error had been discovered.I also hope that you are not the one who had made the gross mistake i.e Not writing the actual amount of the Cash you deposited. Allah Knws best.In all Just follow your Heart.
Thanks boss. I went to get my statement of account today, the money didn't reflect on it. Checked on atm and customer care its there. I will tell them when our own money on ledger balance is removed so that it won't affect our order.

huzaifaidris: Paid for Tablet Pc but I received a NOVEL, a CRAYON and a CD
I collected a package to today, turns out it was the wrong item. I got my refunds though because we had misunderstanding with the seller. He shipped to (Niger) Niger State and I thought it was Niger Republic because that was what I saw in the tracking details. I requested for refunds and seller returned the money without any hassle. Today I tried tracking the number and I saw its in Minna Niger State so I decided to go and collect with the intention of paying the seller back. I collected the package, there was a Tablet Pc carton but inside the carton is a Novel, a Crayon colour pack and a CD.
My question now is does that mean the seller shipped the wrong items intentionally? or did someone change or steal the package on transit? Has this happened to someone before? Please you response is highly appreciated
He did it intentionally just to safe his face. He knew you gonna win the dispute but not with shame, that's why he just have to shipped the rubbish. You must have pressurised him I guess. A seller did same to me but shipped to Germany. $283 power bank.

Information is power boss. I dont think there's any need for explanation. Work to bank, pay your money. How will someone ask a woman with an empty pocket on her head maybe she's going to the river to fetch water?. Ignore it boss.

On getting to the woman seat, she had ran away, I couldn't find her again, so I saw my teller on her seat, I picked it up, followed the bank exit route and I held it as evidence should incase the money isn't deposited. I coughed and suffered for my action, till now I cant really differentiate between odours around me.

It was today I submitted alert form for the card so bank didn't alert me. I was disturbed cos I have to make my payment tonight so that my seller can ship the tabs on Wednesday after payment confirmation.

I searched google on how I can check my account balance with sms but only found that of GT bank. So around 9:30 I worked my way down to the ATM, slotted my card, checked my balance and I found out the bank deposited twice of my money. #276,000 instead of #138,000. The initial amount increased by #276,000 instead of #138,000.

So the good people of Nairaland what do I?. Leave them to check?, lodge a report?. But my own payment has to be made latest 4:00 AM tonight.
