I think it has little to do with budget. Someone here told us that they wanted to conduct the test on 27th of last month but due to some reasons they couldnt. Lets hope for the best. If the test is not conducted this month i think it will not hold this year.

If the aptitude test will hold on 10th it means the invite will come this weekend and if it didnt it means that your info is wrong. Thank you

3 weeks would be this Sunday! So unless you deliberately came here to mislead and misimform, it has to happen this Saturday... Given that some may travel to write it, invites have to roll in tomorrow...

No way the exams would be this saturday. They normally send invitation a week before the exams. Even if the invite comes tomorrow the exams will be nextweek.

It is not fake news. I got the information from an insider. The list would be published sooner than you think. The examination is in less than in a month's time.

Last year the test result was out on 19 june. Unfortunately this year we are about to enter june even the test has not been written. I hope 2013/14 does not repeat it self.

If this week passes and we don't hear from PTDF, then it's most likely the test may not hold this month.

I dont think it will hold this month, even today i called their customer support. The guy told no date has been fixed yet.

Guys this info may be of help... I was in Flexisaf edusoft Garki office yesterday, they manage portal for the school where I teach. So i asked about some hints about the test style... I got to know that flexisaf isnt setting any questions, dat PTDF has a group of people that do the job for them eg university lecturers and their past scholars. PTDF will then give them the questions to upload on their server, and manage the portal for them. He adviced that I should just study random but relevant stuff from anywhere I can lay my hands. I believe someone in the house can help me get an idea of energy economics and technology questions. Everything im seeing online is not looking easy at all. my email is adeebun91@gmail.com. Pls help I beg. I studied electrical, I dont know if the questions will be same for everybody.

EXECUTIVE SECRETARY, PTDF HOSTS VICE CHANCELLORS OF FEDERAL UNIVERSITIES—EXPLAINS NEW STRATEGIC AGENDA

The full compliment of Vice Chancellors of Federal Universities in Nigeria was hosted to a meeting/ interactive session by the Executive Secretary of the Petroleum Technology Development Fund, Dr Bello Aliyu Gusau today (11/04/17) where he discussed the new strategic agenda that will govern the training and capacity building programmes of the Fund.

At the centre of the agenda is the domestication of all PTDF training and capacity building programmes, with the implication that Nigerian universities will now play a greater role in the process as partners and major stakeholders.

PTDF Executive Secretary explained that the present scholarship arrangement which is disproportionately focused on the Overseas Scholarship Scheme, is no longer sustainable and therefore needs to be reversed, so that the bulk of the scholarship to be offered going forward, would be for training in Nigerian universities.

“At the moment PTDF has decided that there will be no more undergraduate Overseas Scholarships. All undergraduate programmes for sponsorship by PTDF will now be done in Nigerian universities. For the post graduate progarmmes, the bulk of that for both the Masters and PhD’s will be done in Nigerian universities. We are also open to collaboration especially through the split-site PhD programme”

He said the meeting/interactive session with the Vice Chancellors is to agree on relevant terms as well as gather sufficient information that will assist the Fund in the planning and implementation process. The Executive Secretary, PTDF made it clear that it has not completely jettisoned the overseas scholarship programmes, as it will continue to sponsor few candidates overseas especially for courses that are not offered in Nigerian universities and through partnership agreements with select foreign universities.

The Executive Secretary, National Universities Commission (NUC), Professor Abubakar Adamu Rasheed welcomed the initiative by PTDF, which he said tallies with the vision to collectively reform post graduate training in Nigeria. He described PTDF as the single most important intervention agency outside the education family that is intervening to build capacity in selected areas in this country. “No other agency in the last 20 years or more outside the education ministry has demonstrated adequate responsibility and interest in changing the knowledge industry in Nigeria….I want to commend the Executive Secretary, PTDF for his vision and his faith in the Nigerian university system”.

I just finished speaking with their customer support, if you cant change your centre that means you have not been shortlisted. The date for the test will be announced any moment from now. Wish you all tbe best.

Yes i do have. What they told me is that ptdf has not yet released funds for conducting the exams

There is no crime in firing on all cylinders o. I thank God I did last year. It is funny the person I gave my materials to read without having to pay a dime. She didn't read because she felt it won't come out since she got it on a platter of gold. Only to find out after the exam. You can be lucky to hit a pot of gold. It's worth it 100%. You have to be strong and determined in your search for success. The God of this scholarship knows who is more persistent and who wants this scholarship most and so he rewards accordingly!
