Do you own one? Hope not much maintenance issues?
Car TalkRe: Club-Lexus by MBG1: 3:50pm On May 29, 2023
GS350 2008
ES350 2010
Camry SE 2012.

Which is more advisable? I’m the type of person that’ll only leave home like 3times in a week. I work from home. Which one is the best option? My road has some potholes on a short distance. I don’t really care about fuel economy.

Please who owns or is driving a Lexus GS350 2008-2010. Is it advisable to buy?

If you own one, what issues are you facing and how do you work around them? Outside Lagos do you think mechanics can work on the car if there are any issues?

Note, there are different variations of the 3 GT
317i, 320i, 328i, 330i, 335i, 340i

The higher the no, the better
340i and 335i has a 3L V6 @ 320hp
328i and 330i has a 2L V4 @ 248hp
They are both turbo charged

The lower the mileage, the better, dont go for anything above 150,000 miles

You can get a salvaged on from copart or IAAI
You can bid ,$3k to $5k you'd get a good one with minor accident you can cheaply repair
Shipping with copart or IAAI is $2,000 to lagos directly through their website, no stress, they'll handle everything. Avoid Nigerian shippers to save yourself stress
Clearing is 2.3m for 2014

Remember, do your due diligence before buying, avoid flooded, non-starter/stationary or vandalized. Avoid undercarriage or frame damage, check dashboard pic to see how many/what warning lights are on, check the VIN info to know type of accident,

Avoid any accidented car that has contact with the engine or power train.

Go through copart, register and bid your self. They have agents in Nigeria, their no is on their site, Avoid THIRD PARTY BIDDERs especially Nigerians who claim they can help you bid. Go through copart or IAAI yourself
How can I get in contact with you? I’m on the verge of getting a car from Copart. Would really appreciate it. You know how the process can be. I already sent you an email too via nairaland here

MOST people do not like the GS series because of the exterior design. IS had more sporty looks while ES design obviously looks rugged.

But GS has better accelerations, speed and more sporty comfortable inside. And it's less problematic.

I drive a GS350 2008
I’m looking to get a gs350 2008. What should I look out for?
