Anugod:happy birthday sweet mama |
Good evening Sabi mamas.. . Please I noticed my son's eye lid or retina is getting light just the exact way eczema looks. Once there's an eye discharge it peels of the skin some how. We started noticing it around 3 months but the health care personnel I complained to said its nothing to worry about. Although it wasn't obvious then. He just clocked 8 months recently and the stuff is really visible now. So today I took him to eye specialist hospital and was told by the doctor there after few examination that's it's an infection. He gave us an eye drop to use every 4 hours. Please is there anyone with similar experience on lo? What exactly is this? It's really giving us cause to worry. Here's the picture below.

Pweetiebabe:I am really sorry for the loss of your son...please take heart...God will see you through |
Good day mamas I trust we are having a good weekend? My son turned 6months few days back so I started his Solids with Cerelac but I noticed he didn't like it as much as he likes Pap. While I was taking the usual Adult Quaker Oats this morning I gave him a bit of it and to my greatest surprise, he drank off everything boom and longed for more. Please is it okay to feed him the Adult Quaker oats at 6 months plus? |

Philpham:What is this one saying? Some of you are so dumb in thinking and reasoning. There's no Picture of Op or his wife neither did he display the name or other sensitive details of the wife. So why the headache? The op is clearly anonymous. I don't think he has done anything wrong. Nothing wrong. A lot of people has got solutions too here on nairaland regardless of what ever you think. Just go and sit down. Don't bring your frustration to nairaland Biko!!! |

LholarB:wow such pretty!!!! Not have a decent sleep since the birth of Lo!! Vigilante is real. We bless God still for his ever faithfulness. Thanks for checking on us. |
Shadeadu:affliction shall not rise the second time!! ! Congrats my dear. .. You shall carry to term in Jesus Name! !! |
vigilante nobi here ooo! Despite the fact I have my mum plus mother-in-law doing omugwo for me, I've not had a descent sleep since after birthing my Prince. Please mamas, I'm really bothered with the speed at which my son's Navel grows bigger by the day. What exactly can I do to reduce the inner pain? And or reduce the growing Navel? He's one month and five days. Mother in-law recommended "gbomoro" whatever that is, and local herb. Pls who have had to deal with big Navel and what did you do differently pls. Thanks. |
jazzyjazz:Thanks for the Review MA. |
ahnie:Initially we bought cusson sets but the Johnson was later introduced to me by a family friend. I'm just curious really!! When you say Johnson there are different versions in the market which did you use? Country wise. |
ahnie:wow you mean Johnson baby oil is responsible for the hair loss? That's what I've been using for my son ooo! I use Johnson complete Set (United States) and so far, not had any bad review on the product. No hair loss or skin irritation so far. You know there are Many Johnson products from different countries!! Italy, South Africa plus fakes littered every where in the market. So it depends on the Johnsons you guys use. The powder is heavenly! ! Abeg other mamas come and give review on Johnson products ooooo make I know whether to continue or discontinue. |
This is really sad. What university did you graduate from? If it's a reputable university you should get auto employment. There are very few first class maths graduates in this country when we find one we should do everything possible to retain them. Secondly, rather than stay idle at the moment, you can get a voluntary job to teach in most of this private tertiary institutions or high profile secondary schools. I swear, you'll get called up. Believe in yourself man. You can even organise evening coaches for jambites. It's that easy!!! You have to sell yourself bro. |
Whoever brought the word "vigilante" to this forum deserves a gold medal. No better word to describe a situation you had to keep vigilant Al through the night to attend to LO. Baby's cry is one you can't pretend not to hear even if mother Inlaw is readily available. God will make it easy for everyone of us! !! |
Lilliesbud12:God be praised !! We thank God for his mercies! You see, the Grace of God is one I do not take for granted! Few days before my delivery, a woman in labor was rushed down to the General hospital. On getting in front of the reception, she dropped dead with the baby!! Never seen such in my entire life. We really have to cultivate the habbit of ceasless Thanksgiving to God. We don't know the battles God is fighting without our knowledge. We should have a day here exclusively for praise and Thanksgiving!! |
Thanks to u mama zheemub and mama enque.

|

BS!! BS!! *CAVEAT* Long Post! Dear mamas, let me officially bring to you my Birth Story! I should have done this earlier but for the want of time. Please pardon me. contractions started on Friday evening (3/11) at regular intervals of 10mins and 7mins respectively. DH got back from work by 9pm and when he saw me, he asked "are you contracting" I answered yes. he replied by asking if he should take me to the hospital? I said No!! I noticed he became so restless because he hasn't seen me in such pain althrough my pregnancy journey. He suspected that this Could be the real deal. So after a short while, I fixed dinner for him, took pineapple and watermelon after which i started purging. I used the toilet 3 consecutive times which was quite unusual . After much , we went to bed by 12am and slept for just 30 mins. I Couldn't with stand the hard contractions that was hitting me like Tsunami. Each time it comes, i Would Grab Dh so tight with Loud scream. from this moment, I knew it's time to get to the hospital. i delayed not rushing down to hospital to avoid unnecessary jajaina examination. By 4:00am, we finally drove to hospital and on our way, Dh kept encouraging me to speak God's word at a point he held my hands thinking it would calm the pain heeeii na so I shout o(leave me alone) and beat him until he left me. when we got to the hospital gate, it was locked so we wait for 3mins before the security opened it. within that time I was shouting press that horn. press it, press it. I grabbed the steering and pressed the horn like crazy before the security man came and opened the gate. on getting to the reception, I couldn't stand was on the floor and shouting nurse come and help me. grabbing anyone and anything that passes by me after 5 mins a nurse came took me to delivery room, checked and said I had little time left. I was then admitted, Dh made all the necessary payments to get them started as he was told. while on admission bed I would shout Jesus help me, spoke in tongues, drag my hair, grab the next bed hmm Dh came back with some items after making the deposit. I was given drip, oxytocin. when the pain increased I was given pcm according to the nurse. while on the bed, my water broke and the pressure was much. so i called on the nurse. she said don't push. after 5mins the pressure was coming down so I called the nurse to come ooo I want to pupu heei I CNT hold it o heei so 2 nurses came, checked me and took me to the delivery room. I was given another drip and oxytocin of higher dosage. then I was asked to push. my baby's head was visible at the second push but later my baby refused to come out. according to the nurse he tried changing position while I was asked to push. oil and a fliud was poured on my jajaina to help out no way, more oxytocin was injected no way! i was cut mercilessly still no way! the nurses got tired of me but they didn't give up on me. then all the nurses, metrons and doctors on duty came into the delivery room to apply their expertise.hmmm was still pushing and with the help of 3 doctors and 5 nurses, baby victory came out stressed without tears! He was beaten severally. more drip and different fluid was injected into me to bring out the placenta that initially refused to come out. while it was ongoing I was praying in my mind. then finally the placenta came out. the nurse said congratulations to me. then bleeding started.the nurse used pad to wage it, was given an injection. then a doctor came in to stitch me. when the doctor came he started making calls and excused himself that he needed to settle some family dispute. after a while he returned and did the stitching. then I was asked to go back to my bed. when I stood up, I was seeing up side down. my whole body was turning me. I couldn't open my eyes well. then I was asked to lie down and wait then a wheel chair was brought to carry me to my bed space. on the side of my little one, he was admitted and varieties of test was ran on him, drugs were administered and we were discharged on Tuesday. on Wednesday night we went back to the hospital cause I was looking white and swollen from waist down. Doctor me and advised I use pillow to raise my legs. on Thursday baby and me went for immunization, got original birth certificate, did More test and was given drugs to be administered to him. Today baby victory is doing well. His name VICTORY is so significant in our lives. We TTCD for less than A year! Amidst doctors negative result reports, we came out victorious!! For all those in Ttc thread, I salute your courage!! God bless and be with you all!! You will share your testimonies soon. For all the waddling mamas God will make it easy for you all. There shall be no loss in Jesus Name. And to all my November mamas plus October people!!! I love you all. Thanks for all the incredible experiences we shared together. During my visit to the hospital, a woman put to birth. As she was breastfeeding her child, I noticed there was no colostrum. It was just the normal watery breastmilk that came out instead of the yellowish milk. I became really worried and I asked her why? But she didn't have answers to it. Now my fear is this, during the early days of my last trimester I noticed the colostrum from my nipples but after a while I don't see it again. Is it normal not to produce colostrum immediately after birth? What is the health Implication of a child that didn't get colostrum after birth? Is there any kind of food that a mother should eat to enable her breast produce colostrum. Anyone with full knowledge and experience on this, should pls respond. Am really kindaf worried |
