Family / Re: Where Is The Change Of Name Necessary After Marriage by Mbliz(f): 2:36pm On Sep 06, 2021
NoToPile:
It can be a long process

Get an affidavit at high court signed by commissioner of oaths, you may ask a lawyer to prepare the format for you, with a passport at the top right corner ,walk in to Ikeja high court ask for commissioner of oaths office its 500naira they will collect to stamp and put their seal.

Publish in the newspaper, you will need the marriage cert, and / or the affidavit its about 3-5k depending on newspaper.

Changing Bvn /bank details, if she's done NIMC and has the slip she can modify its 500naira, take to the nearest NIMC center for modification you will pay 500naira via remitta for modification present your documents (affidavit, newspaper and slip bearing your former name, they insisted on high court affidavit not all these magistrate stuffs) you update your details, they may tell you to come back in some weeks time. (NIMC seems to be the cheapest and easiest of what obanks are now requiring for ID card).

If she has not registered for NIMC slip before she will just register fresh with her new name.

Proceed to bank with all your docs, wedding cert, newspaper, and your NIMC slip (new name)containing NIN number and they willl work on changing your details. I know gtb accepts NIMC slip now .

Inform your workplace, school (if still in school) and present the documents.

As for all documents (certs etc etc)obtained before the change of name they remain valid. So they say you just present your change of name affidavit with the cert bearing old name.
I have visited 3 centers and they all say they can't change the name. 2 licensed agents offices and nin 1 office. Please do you have any contact that can be of help please

Family / Re: My Fellow Married Women And Mothers, How Do You Deal With A Husband Like Mine? by Mbliz(f): 7:34am On May 04, 2020
Tozilly:
No marriage is devoid of fracas. Majority of couple r just managing themselves. Ur situation is not yet out of control. Ur hubby is suffering from financial insecurity, entitlement mentality n bloated ego. He feels less of a man as he can't provide adequately 4 his family. U NID to save a fixed amount of money every month for Ur personal upkeep no matter wot. Try n find happiness outside him, may b with ur kids. U hv a right to enjoy d fruit of ur labour. Just press ignore button wen he starts acting up. He will either grows over it with time or b humbled by life. D situation will change for better with time. Don't come n kill urself for anybody.
Tozilly i want to add to what u just said. We dnt have a clear knowledge of his financial background or work background. At the same time, men generally are ego centric by nature. I just feel that he is been frustrated because of his current financial state. He is not able to take total responsibility for his family so he gets frustrated. A man who is responsible wants to be in charge, control, command respect and all that.It is normal to get sick once in a while but men generally dnt feel sick like we women do except on critical cases and when a man is sick, give him money and that man go well. So she should just try and develop a savings culture for herself. And encourage the man to do more. Suggest business ideas. And some times too when men are going through their rough moments, they want to be left alone. They need space. So i suggest u give ur hubby some space. Dnt get him choked up. When he needs u around, dat moment just flow with him and when its the opposite, give him space. Dnt try to force things. His attitude will get u pissed but try not to bottle up any ill feelings. Find possible means to be happy. Encourage your hubby when ever he feels less of himself even if he doesnt appreciate it. Communication is key. Keep it when necessary and when otherwise change some rutin

I'm so heart broken right now
If someone had told me I will wear this kind of shoe one day I would have sworn for the person
I've not been myself since 4.30pm

My 3 years old daughter was assaulted! She came home with blood stains on her pants. I usually bath her immediately she returns from school and saw it. I immediately checked her vjay lo and behold the idiot finish the place with fingers cry cry cry if you see the picture you will weep for me

I took her straight to children emergency see how nurses were shouting who did this!!! It's serious vandalizing cos she can't urinate without screaming. I've asked her to pls tell me who did it but it seems the person threatened to harm her if she speaks
She's currently doing sitz bath and on antibiotics/pain relief

Lord I need strength right now I can't even eat
I'll report the case to the police station with the blood stained pants as evidence plus the photograph of the site, we must get to the root of this!!! so my child cannot go to school in peace again God!!! cry

Pls I need professional advice aside police pls help!
i am truly sorry for what happened to your princess. Was moody all through today and seeing this now infact i feel weak...hmm . The other moms have said it all and i believe time heals every wound especially if you let it. Be strong and fight till the end definitely you will get justice... Let me also use this time to encourage we parents to start sex education for our children( boy and girl) atleast from 2 years of age. For example letting them know their body parts and the right names they are called not nicknames. And also letting them know that no body has the right to touch their private body parts and if anyone tries it, they should run away and immediately report to u(parents)...its well with you mama tatacherie. Be strong..

Thank you @ebonyjoke, @Giddyperson for your timely response to my worries. The cefuroxine and muprocin are very effective. Seeing positive results already in less than 24 hours. The surface is dried up already. What a relief for me!!! Thank you all !
Health / Re: NEW BORN BABIES! Are U A New Mum? Then Lets Discuss Babies Here!!!!! by Mbliz(f): 8:06am On Jun 15, 2019
Giddyperson:

Calm down you're already doing too much. You should have just listened to the paed at least for a while until he stopped whatever drugs were causing it. Why do you believe it's an infection, is there a kid/kids in his school with the same rash

If you want to go with the pharmacists idea, then know that you sometimes start seeing the physical effect of antibiotics after Day 3 or more, you can't always expect to see changes after the first spoon.
yes there's a kid with same rash in school. Reason why I wasn't comfortable with the response from his Paed. I noticed this morning that new ones are cropping up.. Thanks for the input.. We try to take it cool. First mother hood experience is always like that reason why I brought it here to seek relief from sabi mothers. Lol

Mummies good morning ooo! Please can someone come to my aid? I noticed this skin rash on my son's body few days ago while I was bathing him even though it wasn't as massive as this. Firstly, came out like normal heat rash. So immediately, took him to his PAED doctor only to be told that it's just a skin reaction from the drugs he's been taking that it will go on its own. Out of nervousness I took him to a reputable pharmacy was told it's a infection and was given cefuroxine antibiotics. He started using it yesterday we are yet to see any change. He actually contacted this from school last week.

Wow ... A very big congratulation to u ma. God is faithful
theworldbest:
Thanks everyone for the congratulatory message. It wasn't really easy but God stood through for me n my baby...I labored for 15hours only to be checked n in 4cm,midwife checked again after 3hours of painful contractions n I was just 6cm.she figured out something might be holding the cervix from dilating
Note:baby's head was close bt there was no way n she already poo in the water.
The contractions were so painful n unbearable so I ignored the midwife n started Pushing when the contractions hit me....God be praised what was blocking gave way only for us to see cord round my baby's neck..all in all the midwife manage to remove the cord n my angel came out at exactly 5:33pm.
Please everyone should manage my boring BS....I yam not a good writer
Cappo jina24 n every other pregnant mama...I pray God in heaven will perfect all he has started in our life's.

A woman was telling me about a drug one can use to shrink the boobs after weaning. According to her , when she had miscarriage, doctor prescribed it to return the breast to normal size hence she lost the baby. So my question now is, is it good for mothers who want to wean their baby to use any of such drugs aside paracetamol and are there any side effects to such drugs. And without the drugs, can the breast return to its normal size after weaning? If yes, pls give direction on what to do . thanks

Good evening Sabi mamas.. . Please I noticed my son's eye lid or retina is getting light just the exact way eczema looks. Once there's an eye discharge it peels of the skin some how. We started noticing it around 3 months but the health care personnel I complained to said its nothing to worry about. Although it wasn't obvious then. He just clocked 8 months recently and the stuff is really visible now. So today I took him to eye specialist hospital and was told by the doctor there after few examination that's it's an infection. He gave us an eye drop to use every 4 hours. Please is there anyone with similar experience on lo? What exactly is this? It's really giving us cause to worry. Here's the picture below.
