Politics › Re: Abia LG Election Results: ZLP Wins 15 LGs, YPP Two by mcdokwe(m): 8:32pm On Nov 03, 2024 |
bentenny: The fact that another party instead of LP won shows the election was not rigged or manipulated to favour the ruling party which is a plus to the governor! The narrative that the ruling party must sweep all the LGA chairmanship seat should be discouraged and the people should be free to elect their leaders even if they are from different parties! Same thing bro, all the people who won, irrespective of the logo they fly are the governor's loyalists. They were placed there by the governor and in due time, if he needs them to, they will all defect to the party of his choice. |
Politics › Re: Abia LG Election Results: ZLP Wins 15 LGs, YPP Two by mcdokwe(m): 4:47pm On Nov 03, 2024 |
bentenny: 😊 This is how politics should be played! Not a situation where the governor of the ruling party in the state will do everything possible to ensure his party sweeps all the LGAs!
Interestingly,if LP had won all the LGAs,apc urchins will still complain but if it happens in APC dominated states, they will claim it's due to popularity! Local government elections in Nigeria as a whole is a joke. All the "candidates" that won in the two parties were placed by the governor, check the actual polls, you will note that they did not all win in the places they claim to have won. As it is in Abịa, so it is in Rivers and all other states that have conducted elections so far |

Freetech: This is wrong but with what Obaseki have turned Edo politics into there's no two way to it
No governor will allow a snitch or ambitious individual to occupy speaker position. Sad as it is, this is not an Edo thing. It is obvious that from The Presidency down to the state, capturing and controlling legislative arm is the the major prerogative of the executive. Little wonder accountability is not a thing in governance. |

When a suicide survivor I know penned down his thoughts after survival, one line I read that has stuck with me is "after I took those substances, the pain set in that very moment, I knew I didn't want to die" of course he survived, but had to suffer months of pain in the hospital and now trying to live again and happy for a second chance. Unfortunately, not everyone gets that chance at the first attempt, posting here shows that you don't really want to die, LIVE, please LIVE, you will see beauty in life and you'd remember the days you thought all of them gone. |

He can claim he's trying to help Nigeria (sure!). It can be for any reason - burn out, crime he knows may catch up with him, moment of depression, loans owed, other pressures, etc. I can assure you of one thing - almost all relocate because something is "chasing" them You guys must have something to say! The sole reason I respect Tinubu as a politician is his steadfastness. He stayed in the opposition until his party took over power, that goes in contrast with many fair weather politicians who would jump from one party to another once their party is no longer in power, only to return to the party after their sojourn. Good luck to him |

May God help him and his family. Now imagine yourself or a loved one in that situation, would you want them helped or want help for yourself? I think what we all need to do is collectively condemn this act of injustice. His Dad did no wrong and the state needs to compensate him for unlawful incarceration, the family are being unreasonable and one would wonder the crop of people in the police force. |
