A Facebook user, Festus Alenkhe, took to his page to share pic and story of how a retired military officers and others were arrested for armed robbery in Edo state. He wrote:

Presidential sources, have revealed that President Muhammadu Buhari, with the help of Acting President, Osinbajo, has concluded plans for a major cabinet shake-up.
The sources described the likely changes as ‘earth-shattering’, because a few of the President’s powerful Aides and prominent members of the administration, would be affected.
“In the next few weeks, we are entering the second half of this administration. I can tell you that a major cabinet reshuffle is on the way. Ministerial vacancies for Kogi and Gombe States would be filled, while there would also be an exchange of portfolios.
“Some junior Ministers, whose relationships with their senior counterparts are not smooth, would also be redeployed,” the source said.

Nigerian Air Force has confirmed the arrest of an air force man, Kalu B.A, for allegedly shooting dead his girlfriend, Solape Oladipupo, in Markudi, Benue State.

The incident happened on Saturday at the NAF Tactical Air Command, Makurdi, Benue State.

It was learnt that the lady, popularly referred to as Shomzy, was allegedly shot dead by Kalu after he accused her of having a romantic affair with other men.

The two Air Force officers had had an affair for some months, after they met at a military parade.

It was learnt that Oladipupo, who hailed from Badagry, Lagos, was allegedly shot dead by Kalu.

Last night, it appeared that the Zimbabwean Godfather, Robert Gabriel Mugabe died after all frantic efforts to wake him up proved futile.

An autopsy will fully confirm the cause of death, but the best guess at the moment is a massive prostate cancer which he had been battling for a while now.

No fewer than 55 people have been killed in what appears to be an ethnically based attack and cattle raid in South Sudan, local officials said on Monday. Boma state’s information minister, Achon John Giro, told newsmen that gunmen believed to have come from eastern Jonglei state attacked Coschar village in neighbouring Boma state on Sunday. Giro put the number of attackers at several thousands. He said no fewer than 55 people, mostly women and children, were killed, and thousands of cattle stolen.
