SimFubaraNews: Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara was joined by political leaders in the State to attend crossover service in his hometown, Opobo.
In his short new year message at Saint Paul's Cathedral, Opobo on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, Gov. Fubara declared that the red biro is still filled and in his pocket and wished the people of the State a prosperous 2025 assuring that the year will be greater.
In his sermon taken from the book of Psalms chapter 98 verses 1 to 9, the Bishop of the Niger Delta Diocese of the Church of Nigeria, Rev. Dr. Emmanuel Oko-Jaja said it is important to sing a new song for all that the Lord did in the year 2024 as a prelude to 2025.
He said it is necessary to give God thanks for the salvation of mankind and averting every plan of the enemies.
According to him: "God has revealed Himself more than enough in 2024 and that is why we should sing a new song. Because there had been afflictions and conspiracy against you or to someone else, but God says it will not stand, that is why we should sing a new song. It is the reason people are gathered all over the world at this time to sing a new song. This God has put away shame from us, so, we are going to be singing to Him a new song for the great things He has done.

jesusjnr2020: How I Crossed Over Into New Year 2025
I crossed over into 2025 talking with my Heavenly Father.
It wasn't pre-planned because it was the cross over night but just doing something I often did every other day.
In fact I actually hoped to finish my prayer before midnight but sadly couldn't meet up because I was already lagging way behind in my daily dose of prayer despite having prayed for hours, so it while I was yet on it trying finish my prayer, I heard the clock chime on the hour to my chagrin.
I had no choice though but to continue til I had prayed to my satisfaction and by the time I was through it was already past 1 am.
So that was how I crossed over into the new year 2025 just as I often did every other new day.
Talking to my heavenly Father.
God bless. You did well Thank God you didn't go clubbing or sneaking like some hoodlums here |

TOPIC: End The Year With Praise
You crown the year with Your goodness, And Your paths drip with abundance." Psalms 65:11 NKJV
*Message*
Reflect upon the goodness of God for all He has done for you all through the year. It doesn't matter how the year went and whatever happened in between, one thing is sure - God is good. If you will count your blessings one by one, you will be amazed by all God has done. Hallelujah!
You remember how God has kept you and your family safe all through the year. God has been proactive guarding you for free and making sure nothing will go wrong with you. He who keeps His children safe never sleeps nor slumbers. Many things have swept a lot away at different parts of the year, but you are still standing good and strong. Praise the LORD!
Despite the tough economic climate in different parts of the world, God ensures you never go helplessly hungry. He keeps providing for you and you are continually refreshed. The Psalmist, in an offering of sweet praises to the LORD, declared: "You crown the year with Your goodness, And Your paths drip with abundance." Psalms 65:11 NKJV
So, before the dawn of 2025, take time to praise the Lord for a superb 2024. He alone is worthy of our praise. Indeed, God's goodness looks good on us!
*Prayer* Praise the LORD for His abundant goodness over you in 2024
