My mom will be celebrating her birthday on the 24th of October. I'm seriously thinking of the ideal present i could give her but I don't know exactly what to do. She's a very moderate woman who doesn't ask for anything but I want to give her a present that she truly deserves. I'm thinking of buying her a car or giving her an all expense made trip to any island in the Americas. Nairalanders what is the idea gift to give to a lovely and wonderful mother.

I know I'll be called yoruba by some gullible and dumb igbos here cos a lot of them can't see beyond their nose. Recently, I've been observing the comments made by some individuals here on nairaland and I can't help but laugh at their sheer foolishness and gross stupidity. Some of labeled PMB as an ethnic bigot and a jihadist whose intention is to Northernise and if possible islamise the country. I'm not really surprised cos the people complaining are the those who never contributed to PMB's victory at the polls. Igbos are the worse set of individuals that ever walked the planet. They want to reap from where they did not sow.

For 6 years Gej favoured them over his our people and they never complained. Why are they now seeking for political appointments from the man they called a cattle rearer, jihadist, terrorist and all manners of names? What impact did they make on the lives of Nigerians when they occupied virtually all the best positions in government during Gej's time as president? The igbos have always thrived on theft that's why they've always supported a corrupt party like PDP. I don't care if PMB appoints all his family members to oversee the affairs of Nigeria cos his first 100 days in office has shown the man has the interest of Nigeria at heart. I bought fuel for #87 before I travelled out of the country and that's a sign of good things to come. When was the last time Nigerians bought fuel at that amount? Before our refineries were dead but now they're working. What else do these igbos want? The MD of NNPC is an igbo man but they're still complaining. Igbos are indeed a greedy tribe. The Yorubas who even contributed more to his victory are not complaining but why is it that it's the igbos whose votes never amounted to 25% of the votes he got from the South east complaining?

PMB should continue the god work he's doing and should not allow himself to be distracted by these enemies of progress and enemies of the state called the igbos cos even if he appoints more igbos in his cabinet they'll still find fault due to their greedy nature. They're never satisfied. Take a proper look at PMB's recent and you'll realize that they're mainly minority ethnic groups from the north. Majority of them are even christians. The igbos shot themselves in the foot politically when they all decided to board a sinking ship called Gej and refused to see the change that was coming. They have no right to complain. I also must commend the Nigerian police for the shooting of 3 ipob in onitsha. Shoot any that tries to destabilize this country. No ethnic group can hold Nigeria to ransom.

PoliticsRemembering Al Nakba by mcvaeey(op): 10:19am On Aug 30, 2015
The so called "66 anniversary of independence of Israel" is actually 66 years of ethnic cleansing, asylum in diaspora, massacres, looting, restrictions on movement, violation of human rights, oppression, tyranny, demolition of homes, imprisonment, uprooting trees, stealing land, desecration of holy sites, defiling childhood, colonization, daily and nightly raids and erasing of history and culture.

If a child throws a stone at a tank that invaded his land and killed his parents, He is a terrorist but when a tank shoots a child it is only defending itself. You don't have to be a christian or muslim to speak against the atrocities committed each day on Palestinian land by the Israelis. You only have to human.

I stand for a free and liberated Palenstine. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but I know one day Palenstine will be free. Hamas are not terrorists for defending itself. If you say Hamas is wrong for defending itself then will it right for a woman who has been raped not to fight against those who raped her?
PoliticsRe: Buhari’s Appointments Unacceptable To Ndigbo – Ohaneze Youth Council by mcvaeey(m): 7:48pm On Aug 28, 2015
Ohaneze can go and die. Why are they complaining? Did they vote for Buhari? Buhari is very free to appoint whoever he likes as long as they can deliver. Igbos are the ones trying to play tribal politics here and Nigerians already know them for who they truly are. I thought you people wanted biafra? Why are you igbos wailing and trying to kiss buhari's fulani asss?

My search has not been futile. Germany is indeed a wonderful country with wonderful people. People say Germans are racist but to my greatest surprise I've never experienced anything of such over here. The food is wonderful, lots of places to visit, lots of beer to go around and so many other things that make a country great are here in Germany. I've finally met the woman I think suit my taste and my class. Her name is Alexandria Simpson. She's of German/Jamaican heritage and a very beautiful woman at that.

I intend bringing her to Benin soon. When I do I'm going to close down the bar that day cos I've caught a very big fish. Not just any fish but an oyinbo fish. Any nairalander in Germany should hit me up now. I'm in Bremen let's meet.
Politics"The Binis Were The First Nigerians Exposed To Western Education by mcvaeey(op): 10:27am On Aug 28, 2015
I would ask that readers google the Name, Ohen Okun. Ohen Okun from historical records held in both Benin archives and in the annals of Portuguese history was the Olokun priest of the port town of Ughoton Benin. Oba Esigie the Great, who reigned from 1504 to 1549, sent the Ohen Okun to Portugal as the Ambassador of Benin to the Portuguese Court. While in Portugal, the Portuguese Affonso .D. Aveiro remained in Benin as the Portuguese envoy. Ohen Okun was treated with respect while in Portugal. He later returned to Benin and is described as the first known Diplomat of Nigeria origin to Europe.
A BINI MAN WAS THE FIRST NIGERIAN GRADUATE
Let us go further; who was the first known Nigerian graduate? As this issue has generated so much controversy, it is important that I deal with it comprehensively and provide a clear evidence to substantiate my research. Readers, again kindly google the name: Olu Atuwatse (Dom Domingo). Olu Atuwatse was the crown prince of the Bini Empire who was sent to Portugal in 1601 for advanced studies by his father, the reigning Oba. He graduated from the University of Coimbra in 1611. He is the first person to obtain a European university degree. He later married the daughter of a Portuguese noble, Dona Feirs. Their son Antonio Domingo referred to in Benin History as the Golden Skinned king, succeeded him to the throne in 1643.
Antonio Domingo, a Christian who wanted to spread Christianity throughout the Empire wrote the Pope in 1652 asking for Missionary assistance. This is the oldest letter written in Nigeria. I think this lays to rest which ethnic national produced the first educated
Nigerians. If required, I would provide other historical research to substantiate my position further. I ask my Yoruba brothers to provide the same. -" - details

Politics1b Barrels Of Oil Discovered In Benin by mcvaeey(op): 9:50am On Aug 28, 2015
Edo state government has reported on Thursday that they had discovered 1 billion barrels of oil off its coast. A significant amount compared to neighbouring Nigeria’s reserves, but which could boost the small country’s economy.
“We have discovered oil in a significant commercial quantity with Sapetro Company which works on Block 1 of the sedimentary basin off Seme Podji coast”, Energy Minister Barthelemy Kassa reported.
Sapetro is a Nigerian gas exploration and production company.
The Sapetro Chief Executive, Daisy Danjuma, wife of a former Nigerian Army Chief Theophilus Danjuma, said that first commercial oil production will begin in late 2015.
According to Kassa, the discovery would help to finance the country’s development projects.
“It is a historic discovery for our country because this will enable us to finance our development projects,” he stated.

The hardworking tribe, the jews of Africa and the developers of other people's region. I pity you igbos cos you've so fallen in love with your own reflections that you don't know how pathetic you all look. Why can't the Nigerian govt just deport them to countries like South Africa or even Iraq so they can be lynched by those angry South African xenophobes or even beheaded by ISIL.

Before that start their killing, christians and non muslims should start purging their lands of muslims. Let's start killing them now. Let's all come together and pick up arms and prepare ourselves. Let's take the war to them before they even begin. I'm ready to put my life on the line to ensure that every muslim is wiped out and every mosque burned down. I'm going to contribute materials both in relief materials and in weapons to support this quest.
