I have actually started looking out for a studio apartment in Warrington for me and my spouse too. I have actually seen a couple of affordable ones, howeva I plan to pay before arrival altho I have someone that lives close to the city that will help me inspect the house and also liase with the owner when the time comes

Exactly what I did.I had to email them to confirm the scholarship as well. Funny enough the school sent me a mail today that will confirm my payment to begin the CAS process with the finance dept, becos I attached the swift advice I got after payment as an evidence of payment and follow up.Lastly they asked if I will be coming with a dependent.

Yes. The scholarship reduction doesn't usually reflect in the offer letter. You need to mail the finance office so as to be advised appropriately.

Well, what's your definition of affordable (£/week range)? If you don't mind the distance from Hope campus, if that's where you would be receiving lectures, Kensington, Wavertree and Anfield areas seem to have reasonably cheap prices for a room in shared accommodations. That is between £55 and £75 per week.

You might want to check Gumtree for your studio in the above listed areas.

However, it could take up to 45 minutes using the bus from those places to the school.

Yeah, their response is really slow since the pandemic started and UK's lockdown. My offer was conditional which is the acceptance fee that I am yet to pay.I have not communicated to them recently. I intend paying soon tho, I am just skeptical

Try Ulster, Chester or Liverpool hope. I got my admission in Liverpool Hope and I am paying 7400 pounds after deductions and scholarship

My sister, I understand with you but I would advise you not to give up hope. Take your time and check the different schools, call their nigeria reps office and get some more clarification. You do know that for UK, you need a minimum of 25k for international students (avg intl students rate is btw 12-15k, depending on the course..) engineering courses, like medicine and MBA are very expensive. so unless you want to change field, maybe you could find a course under 10k..but that's tutition only..maintenance is 9,200 outside london and 13k within london...so you still have a long way to go. I am not trying to be harsh or brutual here.. just stating the facts as it is.

It is well..not to derail the thread, but have you tried European countries that do not ask for tuition, only maintenance as an alternative? I believe that God will answer your heart desires, even in ways you never thought of. Fighting...

The decision to pay the deposit is up to you but if you've made up your mind and you know that you won't change it, proceed. This is because if you change your mind and your school is to refund, it will be minus Administrative fees.

Yes the university is different in their way.
I applied too but minimum is 2:1 that’s how I knew you had that. They’re very strict but cheap. One of the cheapest I believe. Not many courses very very few choices. I don’t know about their reputation but U.K. uni na U.K. uni Abeg.

You got a 2:1 or 1st to get admission & scholarship. They don’t take 2:2

And you have to post or email documents because they don’t offer online applications

One of the weirdest application I did..like I had to mail them all the requirements.I had a 2.1. I am working with UKEAS for the visa even tho I am yet to pay my fees because of this Corona issh and the rate is currently on the high side. I am hopeful tho!
