Prescriptive knowledge is fast and easier for people.

People who seek prescriptive knowledge would lack the grit and the thoroughness for due diligence in a particular domain.

Prescriptive knowledge asks the question "how do I attain this goal?" or "How do I avoid this outcome?"

The two major problems with this is:

1. How/how-not is a lower level of seeking answers. Why/why not is a much higher level.

2. Prescriptive knowledge focuses on a goal(scarcity mindset). That is, if the goal is not reached, there is no new knowledge. And in most life cases, we are not in charge of the outcomes of life. Descriptive knowledge only explains the reasons why or why not goals weren't reached. This means descriptive knowledge can lead you to having different outcomes, choosing your outcome, or even deciding an outcome is not even worth it anymore. (abundance - Options)

I even see this laziness in how people prompt AI. People just want prescriptions. Take for example: "how do I write like Ubunja". And then AI would probably look at Ubunja's one writeup and tell you something.

When you can upload several Ubunja's articles instead, prompt AI to get the style, and the tone of each article, do some analysis of the max word, sentence length, etc. Then from your deductions based on the analysis, you can re-prompt even based on your domain and the descriptive knowledge you just got from analysis. Similar to what is called Retrieval Augmented Generation(RAG) in generative AI.

People say AI would help a lot of people. But I disagree, AI would only help those who help themselves.

I get it that people want a template, which is exactly what the blue pill world provides which is what got many of us burnt in the first place. People don't want to do their due diligence to study, to take time to gain habits, instead, they want goals as fast as possible.

To be redpill, you must be ready to do your due diligence and think for yourself. Redpill is descriptive knowledge.
