I can only imagine the joy APL will bring.
Some of us need this job to take care of our aged parents and other family members, some of us are currently in debt, some of us can't remember when last we wore a new/good dress, some of us probably don't eat well, & some of us probably even have to borrow data from mtn to check nairaland. Things are difficult for many people and they just want a way out of all the struggles.
I understand why some people are really anxious, hoping and praying for this APL.

No be lie... Na so I write NNPC test for Dec 6th 2014 and got interview invite which ws truncated. I was hopeful ooooo till I saw another application lmao.

I did not even want to throw the phone with which I received the text for interview till date..

Posting is based on discipline and vacancy slots. It has nothing to do with individual score. Interview is meant to determine those who will join the corporation. That is where it ends. I'm not sure there is any organization that determines posting based on interview scores.
So I will advise not to build unnecessary tension inspired by anxiety and which can lead to delusion.

Like Jarus said, go to naijahotjobs (which was the hottest job site back then in 2012), and you will see people still hoping for 2nd NNPC list seven years after!

In 2012, all the successful underwent a 2 (or was it 3?) weeks orientation program in the Abuja headquarters. During that period, medical examination and security screening were performed. Also, we registered our banks.

After the orientation, the non-STEM GTs and experienced hires were posted immediately to different subsidiaries. And it's all dependent on your discipline. For instance, all the microbiology / biochemistry graduate that I met during orientation were posted to refineries as safety officers. A friend who studied quantity surveying was posted to IDSL, while a number of accountants were posted across several subsidiaries (accountants are needed everywhere) Experienced hires were posted based on their discipline and the role they applied for. Many experienced geologists were posted to IDSL and NETCO.

The STEM graduates had to undergo 9 months intensive training called FSTP (cant remember the full meaning but TP means training program). I was told that the overall best graduates per discipline were sent abroad for further studies. But the rest were posted based purely on their discipline and had nothing to do with their training score. Most chemical engineers ended up in the refineries; most petroleum engineers ended up in NPDC, and so on and so forth. A few who had solid network influenced their posting (typical everywhere even in private firms). Married ladies had the opportunity to choose the state of preference. For instance, a friend whose family was based in PH chose PH. She was posted to PH refinery.

This was all in 2012. Things might be different now.

Being a member of PENGASSAN only means you are a senior staff of an oil company.

From my experience, when I Conduct interviews, we get the best people inter iews last though. Don't know why HR always does that. They send in the highest performed test a ores last.

Also, the three out of the US are igbos and only one is RIvers.

Also another person making it 5 from a big O&G company is also EH is ibo but no alert. He was interviewwd 12pm 9th EH lol

Another one too big O&G staff, date was shifted from Monday. He is from Kogi or so but no alert..

I know these guys one on one.

Extrapolating from the Access bank theory, I want to say this. The best of each field, from CBT, was interviewed first of all before the people who scored lower. I believe the best of most of different specialties were invited July 1st and 2nd. However, for some fields like ICT, which probably started interviewing its candidates from the 9th, I still believe the best from CBT were called for the interview that day(July 9th). The lady you talked about didn’t perform as good as you in the CBT, accounting for why she was called on the 10th for her interview. This also explains why she got alert, and you didn’t get alert. She has been screened off. From the people who haven’t got alert, this is where the quota system will apply. People saying interviews were based on locations only, you are not entirely true. The fact that 4 of you called to an interview panel from the amphitheater were from a region doesn’t mean that everyone interviewed by the panel for that day was from the same region. After your set, the next 4 was probably from a different region. In my set, the four of us were all from Kaduna(July 2), but that that day, I still saw people who most likely came from Benin. Also some Lagos people were also interviewed 2nd July.

Well, no matter how we want to interpret it, the Access Bank Theory reigns supreme. Receiving alerts are definitely not good and is a bad marker. Well, this is just a theory. Time will eventually tell.

Okay na. Me am EH o and practicing .. ICT interviewed 9th 7am also I was the first to be interviewed from my panel phewww very rough. I was told by panel chairman that he knows my company very well and as such he won't ask me anything in my field cos he is sure I have so much strength there lol. And he started firing me hahaha. He opened xb again and saw certifications and laughed and said bros tell me what is not on ur cv about yourself. Well leave the story

I met 2 guys I know from PH. One was a former colleague and now the head of ICT south region in his company while the other was a school mate in high school and course mate in the Uni but a set higher. We all were interviewed same time and by same panel and obviously we are all ICT.
Three of us, none has gotten alert.

Also, there is a lady in phc too she was interviewed 10th 9am and she got the alert and she was the person who told me first and asked if I have gotten.

So for those who are skilled in deductive reason add this to ur chart and give us way forward

All these they've not paid applicants scheduled on a particular day, or particular state, or discipline doesn't follow. This is how some people were thinking during CBT shortlisting and Interview invite.

Nothing is certain at the moment, so we should all need to chill though

I am very sure I was told less than 2000 by the chairman of my panel even though I have been hearing 1,500. Thos were his words... Less than 2000

I dont think they used any godfather factor on the test. I wrote the test in 2014 and was invted for interview that never held after Buhari got to powr. Also, i was priviledged to write again in the 1st of june, 2019 and God made it possible for us to get invite again. I dont know anyone in NNPC but I have God who keeps giving me the opportunity. I even submitted my application less than 24 hours to the deadline and was not evn expecting to be called. GOD is still GOD and has never stop being good anytime anyday. cheers

The category of candidates that received sms and email to update their profiles on the 24th October, 2017 are those that made the merit list for the interview. Their aptitude test scores were above 70%. These candidates stand a better chance of getting the job if they performed well in the interview at least scoring 70%. Their average (test + interview scores by 2) can never be less than 70%. Most of these candidates had their interviews in the first week of Dec.

My point is that, if you didn’t receive the update message in the month of October, you were not considered as one of those on the merit list invited for interview.

Bsc Anatomy, MSC Anatomy from Aguata Anambra state. Applied for the position of environmentalist. There is field in anatomy which anthropology which relates to the position which I intended to run my PhD. This was my answer when I was asked how they relate. As at the time of the interview, I was rounding off my MSC project which I told the interviewers and the asked when I will be through I said Jan 2018 which by Gods grace came to pass. @marvel what do you think is my fate?
