The following are your job responsibilities as the Equipment Safety and Maintenance Officer for Megamound: • To make sure that machines, generators and site equipment’s are always in good order and condition. They must always be safe to use. • Responsible for identifying any equipment that needs to be repaired. • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening to problems and using testing instruments. • Maintain clean and safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations. • Oversee machine installations, maintenance, disposal of substances etc. • To plan and perform regular visits to each development to identify any maintenance requirements and organise relevant response. • To plan and perform detailed weekly/ Monthly/Annual maintenance assessments for each Equipment and report upkeep requirements. • Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance, responding to breakdowns, diagnosing faults and repairing equipment. • Supervising engineering and technical staff, obtaining specialist, components, fixtures or fittings. • Managing budgets, maintaining statistical and financial records. • Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation • Creating maintenance procedures and managing stocks of supplies and equipment. QUALIFICATION REQUIRED The ideal candidate will be: • A strong organized communicator, willing to work a rotating schedule, weekends and holidays in a fast paced environment. • Participate in safety, quality and environmental programs by conducting observations, audits and meetings. • Carry out duties with a focus on safety, quality, and productivity. Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field preferred. • Six-Ten years of prior supervisory experience • Experience in large off road heavy equipment experience • Experience in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues and problem solving • Excellent computer skills • Experience in handling construction Equipment.
