You know I'm bored being in-house counsel to a coy and seriously taking out a year or two for real practice but I'm a little bit jittery, anyone with a taste of both sides willing to help clear the fog for a brutha? mucho gracias

Good to see lawyers here. I was in practice for about 18 months in V.I., pay wasn'nt really good but job was very interesting. Left about 3 months ago for a small company where my brains cells are nearly dead, so I understand you when u say u are bored. Right now, I'm thinking of going back to practice but with a well paying Law firm (Hope I get one). My brutha, practice is the in-thing if you're a lawyer oh jare, all this so called legal depts lawyers na joke, except u get a compnay where its really busy. For me, its not just about money but enjoying what I do, but money does count sha cheesy. So I'll advise that u do a bit of practice and that willu decide what u really want, depending on the kind of brain cells u have! grin grin grin

amsky:

okay, look out for calabar girls.i mean the real efik ones.i'm ibo but my husband is from there.i f u are not careful.you'll be in trouble.

Wots that, wot is wrong with efik gals, I am not efik but take exception to the generalization of negative stuff about efik gals, wots the trouble about with efik gals ehn?

lami4life:

Calabar? Do u av a wife? take her. A fiancee? Marry her. then take her along

Poor you, the poster is female, did u even read well at all, u were just jumping to say somting irrelevant. Mind you, Calabar women are the most caring and respectful women, know how to take care of their men, so other women should inprove on their stuff instead of being scared of them.

Romance / Re: Ladies: Would You Marry a Younger Man? by mel4real(f): 5:29pm On Dec 06, 2007
Been seeking advice on this same topic. Have a friend who is two years younger than I am but insists on dating and possibly marriage (ie, if I ever agree). Never thot of marrying a younger guy but have dated one before and there was really no stress cos he was very matured and stuff, but marriage, ouch!

Tanx for all the gists i got grom u nairalanders, changed my views to be that i'll marry a younger guy if:

We love each other
REspect each other and even forget that there's an age issue
I don't look older than him(dat's very important)

I am also a lawyer but left practice about a month ago due to the poor pay, but i just found out i'd prefer practice because its more challenging and gets your brain working. But for now-money matters oh! grin
