Travel / Re: "My Wife Walked Out Of This Accident Without A Single Scratch" by member13(m): 2:11am On Dec 04, 2023
I love Nigerians, lol. They are thanking God on this thread, but what about all the thousands of people who died in other accidents this year? Instead of picking up arms to start a revolution and fight for the country, they will be bothering God for everything. Useless country and useless people. Tufiakwa.

Travel / Re: Man Spends 40years In US, 20yrs In Prison & Is Deported Back To Nigeria (video) by member13(m): 4:56pm On Aug 29, 2023
OmoNla99:

As long as you weren’t born in the US, you get immediate deportation after a jail term if convicted for some crimes. Like the man said, gun running, drug peddling, financial fraud etc. This shows you as a threat to the community. Your citizenship is revoked and you get deportation.

This is not true. I personally have naturalized friends who spent more than a decade in prison but were not deported. Sir please stop misleading people. Google the information. In fact, your citizenship can only be revoked if you lied on your application. Nothing else. A citizen can never be deported.

Regardless of the number of years spent, if you do some kind of crimes you get deported. Only people that can’t be deported are citizens that were born in the states. If you are a naturalized citizen you get deported.
This is not true. My former professor was a naturalized citizen but he was not deported after serving for 15 years. A citizen can't be deported. However, if you lied on your naturalization application, then your citizenship can be revoked, and you might be deported.

Send DM, let's see what we can do. All I would need is a video verification. That's it. Nothing more from you.

Family / Re: Why Do Nigerian Parents See Pidgin English As "Bad English"? by member13(m): 3:43am On Jul 27, 2023

Is Messi Spanish?
NO. He is from Argentina but spoke Spanish to show you that Spanish is their adopted official language that can be used to communicate with a wide and diverse range of people.Messi has his own indeginous language but also learnt Spanish in school like we did English in order to be able to communicate with educated people.

Sir, the language spoken in Argentina is Spanish. Messi's indigenous language is also Spanish. Where do you guys get these lies from? Of course, the Spanish spoken in Argentina sounds different, like comparing American English and British English, but they are essentially the same. Messi never learnt Spanish; he grew up speaking it in Argentina like every other Argentine.

Look at all of us conversing in a language that our colonizers bequeathed us. Even when I am amongst Nigerians who all speak a particular language, everyone wants to form and show off their prowess in English. Every other great nation uses a particular native language as the language of instruction in their institutions, but not us. We have been mentally colonized to the point that we see our native languages as inferior. Wouldn't it have been better for Buhari to speak his native language and have it translated as opposed to having suffered through his barely comprehensible English?

Russia has over 193 ethnic groups and hundreds of language, but they do not speak English nor deem it necessary. Heck, when I converse with so many Nigerians online, they incessantly use American slang, especially African American slang. Sometimes I ask myself, what exactly is the cultural backgrounds of most Nigerians? Foreign language. Foreign religions. Foreign attires. Foreign method of governance. Lots of foreign names. And almost no one sees it as a problem. Colonized People!

Politics / Re: How Much Nigeria Is Owing Other Countries In 2023 by member13(m): 6:23pm On Jun 27, 2023
Shoodboi:
The main money we owe is the one we owe the IMF and the World Bank.

We owe IMF $2.5 trillion as of June 6, 2023. You can see it on IMF website.

We owe World Bank $13.45 billion (International Development Association - IDA) and another $487.03 million (International Bank for Reconstruction and Development - IBRD).

IDA and IBRD are the two arms of the World Bank. And the World Bank and the IMF are the two arms of the United States. So we owe the US over $2.5 trillion.

When we calculate $2.5 trillion against the $5.16 billion we owe China, France, Japan, India, and Germany, you know it's child play.
Bro, I think you have made a serious mistake. I went to the IMF website and it was 2,454,500,000 dollars that we owe. That is $2.45 billions, not trillions.
