AJ is 6'6" while Dwayne Johnson aka the rock is 6'5". So that picture is photoshopped. AJ is just a bit taller than the rock that u wouldn't even notice.

The rock is not 6'5". My friend is 6'3" and he was taller than the Rock; he took a video of them at Gold's Gym. Also, the Rock was on Conan O'Brien show and Conan was taller than him. So many male celebrities lie about their height. Check out a picture of Ryan Reynolds and The Rock and you will observe that they are about the same height. Ryan Reynolds is 6'2".

I disagree. Nigerians are too enamored of the western way of life for such a thing to happen. When our leaders get a headache, they flee to western nations for medical assistance. This site is hosted in a foreign nation; all the gadgets we use are made in foreign nations; the language we are using right now is foreign; our mode of dressing is largely foreign; our democracy is modeled after that of the US; all our medicines are made in foreign nations; our cars are foreign; heck, even our religions are mostly foreign. If they banned all of Africa, we would still find a way to access their technologies. Do not underestimate how much the Black African people depend on and value the goods from abroad.

A popular adage says that insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. These same arguments have been made more than a million times on this site. They were made by my great grand parents when they were alive, and also made by my grandparents and my parents when I was growing up, but the state of our affairs is still dire. Do we really think that complaining over and over will necessarily change anything? The culture would have to fundamentally change and each of us will also have change our ways but I doubt it will happen in my lifetime.

"The government have" is correct in British English grammar, while "the government has" is correct in American English grammar. Since Nigerians tend to use British English, I would say the original poster was right. I had a professor in college that didn't mind either, as long as you didn't mix them. British people tend to use collective nouns as plural and not singular.

This is the problem with identifying people by their lineage instead of the environment in which they were raised and the place they identify with.

No one ever tells Donald Trump to show allegiance or even acknowledge Scotland and Germany , even though his parents are from these countries. To be specific, his mother was born and raised in Scotland while his dad's parents were immigrants from Germany.

Hugh Jackman's parents were English, but most people don't even know that. He is as Australian as can be. Helen Mirren's father was Russian. This happens to be so because whites tend to identify with the country they were born in. I have a friend here in the States who has full Igbo names. He was born and raised in California. Even his parents were also born and raised in the US, but his grandparents came to America in the 50s. He has never been to Nigeria before; doesn't speak a word of Igbo. Looks and sounds 100% like a Black American, but not only do so many of my fellow Nigerian friends insist on calling him Nigerian, they accuse him of abandoning his roots. LOL. Does that make sense?

I have Edo friends who do not speak any Edo language but are fluent in the Yoruba language because of where they grew up. We need to rethink this idea of tribe and lineage.

In the US, you will see a situation like this: a child will claim to be from California. His dad will claim to be from Texas while his mother will tell you that she is a native of a New York. Isn't that beautiful? Why should some people be blood-tied to their father's origin when they were not raised in or taught about the culture and language.

Kemi is not Nigerian. She is British. She owes no allegiance to Nigeria because she is serving in a foreign land and therefore cannot be expected to serve two masters. Do not assume someone's culture because of their name. The world is evolving. Let us evolve with it.
