@lajid Oga, what is that telegram channel for hookup? |
jazzman7711:Chineke!!!!!!!! Jesu Kristi Oba ogo o!!!!! ![]() Chai!!!!!!! This man is beyond redemption. |
jazzman7711: ![]() This is the dumbest thing I have ever read. Clearly showing African ancestry? lol. Black people will always find a way to attach themselves to any successful people on earth, lol. I have seen it all. |
Tellmeastory:My brother, I have heard about the Moors, but your assertion is categorically false. Which Black Africans ruled Europe fore centuries? West Africans? South Africans? East Africans? How did they rule Europe exactly and please provide your source and evidence. What exactly have we contributed to the modern world? Who are our philosophers, scientists, historians, mathematicians, etc who are studied by experts all over the world? Even right now you and I are debating in a foreign language. Is there a website wherein West Africans engage in their native lanugage? Do Africans get educated in their native languages? Do Africans practice their native religions with pride? I don't mean a minority but as a whole we don't do these things. Culturally, we have been dominated by the American way of living, the American/European way of governing, American/European manner of dressing and this is why we millions of Africans desire to "japa" to foreign nations. Technologically, we produce nothing. We are a laughing stock amongst the comity of nations because we contribute nothing to the development of the world, especially when it comes to research in the medical field, semiconductors, military apparatus, economics etc. There are millions of Africans with foreign names. Have you ever met a white European named Segun, Folasade, Chinedu, etc? But we ruled them for centuries? Don't you find it curious that whenever a Black man has to defend himself he brings up history from more than a millenium ago? History that has nothing to with us because our direct ancestors knew nothing about sea navigation to the point that they would have built a boat. Our recent history is littered with slave trade, colonization, corruption, and moral decay. It is what it is. |
aurorae1:We are communicating in a foreign language using technology that was developed by foreigners; I don't know how that doesn't make Black Africans feel some type of way. Some folks on this thread are bragging about developing philosophy, mathematics, etc thousands of years ago, lol. That is really embarrassing. We have epileptic power supply, bad roads, bad health care, our leaders fly to foreign countries to get health care, we practice foreign religions, wear foreign clothes, get educated in foreign languages, immigrate to foreign lands for a better future, etc. I hear young Nigerians using foreign slangs all the time. Culturally, they try to act American or British. Technologically, we are no where near developed countries, but we brag about being the Giant of Africa and make references to inventions from thousands of years ago about how superior we are. LOL. |

CockPit:I don't know who you are but this is the BEST comment I have read on Nairaland ever. I had this same discussion with my mother and we came to the conclusion we must incorporate our native languages into our educational institutions if we want to compete favorably with other nations. The top nations in the world do not use other people's language to instruct their citizens. Isn't it curious that we are using a foreign language to communicate amongst ourselves? Where is our identity? Our native religions? Where are our philosophers, authors, scientists etc? I have so much to say about this topic. How many Einsteins would we have produced if our children are learning in their native language? Even Einstein wrote all this papers in German, not English. But I doubt it will happen. We see our native languages as vernacular and not sophisticated enough. |
Amotolongbo:Ma'am, what kind of questions are these? I remember when I was growing up in Nigeria and our pastor molested a girl. The members of the church said EXACTLY what you just said. They claimed that we are not God and we shouldn't judge. If one cannot point out that one's actions and words do not align, what is the point of claiming to be a Christian or a Muslim? No one is condemning him to hell, but we can certainly observe that like the majority of Nigerians, he is a hypocrite. |
Burruchaga71:So will you, I, and every other living soul on earth. |
FitCorper:The above was also introduced to your ancestors by those from abroad. At any rate, you will always depend on abroad. |
I love Nigerians, lol. They are thanking God on this thread, but what about all the thousands of people who died in other accidents this year? Instead of picking up arms to start a revolution and fight for the country, they will be bothering God for everything. Useless country and useless people. Tufiakwa. |
OmoNla99:This is not true. I personally have naturalized friends who spent more than a decade in prison but were not deported. Sir please stop misleading people. Google the information. In fact, your citizenship can only be revoked if you lied on your application. Nothing else. A citizen can never be deported. |
OmoNla99:This is not true. My former professor was a naturalized citizen but he was not deported after serving for 15 years. A citizen can't be deported. However, if you lied on your naturalization application, then your citizenship can be revoked, and you might be deported. |
Dcass:Send DM, let's see what we can do. All I would need is a video verification. That's it. Nothing more from you. |
Sinof:Sir, the language spoken in Argentina is Spanish. Messi's indigenous language is also Spanish. Where do you guys get these lies from? Of course, the Spanish spoken in Argentina sounds different, like comparing American English and British English, but they are essentially the same. Messi never learnt Spanish; he grew up speaking it in Argentina like every other Argentine. |
Look at all of us conversing in a language that our colonizers bequeathed us. Even when I am amongst Nigerians who all speak a particular language, everyone wants to form and show off their prowess in English. Every other great nation uses a particular native language as the language of instruction in their institutions, but not us. We have been mentally colonized to the point that we see our native languages as inferior. Wouldn't it have been better for Buhari to speak his native language and have it translated as opposed to having suffered through his barely comprehensible English? Russia has over 193 ethnic groups and hundreds of language, but they do not speak English nor deem it necessary. Heck, when I converse with so many Nigerians online, they incessantly use American slang, especially African American slang. Sometimes I ask myself, what exactly is the cultural backgrounds of most Nigerians? Foreign language. Foreign religions. Foreign attires. Foreign method of governance. Lots of foreign names. And almost no one sees it as a problem. Colonized People! |
