Why are you worried that they might not grant you a visa simply because you know someone in the U.S.? Unless you are going on a business trip where you have paid for the hotel and have huge cash reserves, it's a requirement for you to know someone in the U.S. It's the person that you know that's "supposed" to send you a letter of invitation. In fact, when you go for the interview, they may ask how well you know the person that wrote the letter of invitation in order to establish the relationship. At any rate, what the consular officer is looking for is for you to convince him or her that you are not going to abscond on getting to the U.S. Just be yourself man. They're human just like you. Some folks are uneducated parents/siblings who are going to visit their children/grandchildren nieces/nephews. What should they do then?  And of course there are forms and there are "forms". Filing a form wrongly could produce a negative response. Life is not always black white. If that's the case there'd be no need for immigration lawyers. Why I'm I even preaching to the choir, isn't that what you're supposedly doing for folks "helping" them to get Schegen and USA student visas?

One of whom? As I said, there's nothing wrong in performing genuine services and getting paid for it. Some folks may not know how to fill the forms or answer the questions. There might be those who can do such thereby filling a need and getting paid for it even though others could do it for free. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that.

I don't think perfoming genuine services for folks is necessarily a bad thing. Some folks could fix their cars themselves, others pay mechanics to do it.

I can't still believe this. Someone came to my office, cos there is an embassy in my office. He saw me at the door and told me he came to confirm if his visa was authentic. Without even looking at the passport, i took it to the consular officer, cos his secretary was not on seat. He looked at it and said that is a refusal. I went back to meet the applicant, and he said his agent applied for the visa for him after paying a deposit of N150,000.00 upon collection of the visa, he paid the balance.

Guess what the agent told him was his visa: A REFUSAL, and still collected his balance N150,000.00. Na wah oh.
