If you're still interested in rooting your k7 follow these steps:
Install VCOM drivers on your PC using

Download Magisk v14 zip @ https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachm...1504713887
Copy the Magisk zip to the phone's SD Card
Download Philz for Tecno K7 Spark ported by Team at https://mega.nz/#!hXBDBIKI!owTDcEbPU6C1B..._mzxCc1SJg
TWRP for Tecno K7 Spark ported by Team at https://mega.nz/#!oPYhnbAL!tRYMO6fu66Aza...eAblNedWmE
Switch off the phone (still with battery inside)
Flash the Philz recovery.img to the phone using SP Flash tool @ https://forum..com/thread-159.html
Boot the phone into recovery mode using Volume up button + Power button
In Philz recovery, you use the Volume buttons to navigate and Power button to select
Select Install Zip
Navigate to the location of the Magisk.zip on the SD Card and select it
Wait till flashing is complete
If you are prompted to fix root, select No
Reboot the phone normally
Once the phone boots to Home Screen, download and install Magisk Manager apk @ https://github.com/topjohnwu/MagiskManag...v5.0.4.apk
Launch Magisk Manager and Root checker to verify root

Flash back your stock boot.img before applying for any update to avoid bricking; flash back your patched_boot after applying the update

To root your k7 use auto-philz recovery and magisk

pls have u flashed xposed installer on your device, i flashed 'xposed.v72.SDK22.zip' after rebooting it wrote 'android starting, optimizing apps' after counting for some time it reboots and shows the same thing again. Its been going on like this for 30 minutes now


pls what's ur xposed version and how can i get past this bootloop, i'm thinking of downloading the stock rom backup and flashing it

download the uninstaller for that v72 and flash it. it'll solve the bootloop problem

I've been searching for the stock recovery.img Can anyone help? currently on TWRP. But I need the stock recovery to be able to change to CWM

chrisluwi: The recovery.img file is for m3 and not opsson so you can't use it, u need to get the cwm recovery img for your phone then flash it
