Vicjustice: With all due respect, I dont totally agree with Vicjustice. There is nothing wrong in parent sponsoring a married woman and her kids when comes to either UK or US tourist visa or student visa. Anytime I apply for either UK or US visa for myself and my daughter, I always use my father documents as my sponsor despite the fact that I work and they always grant our visas. kalari just ensure you include your statement of account as well. I applied for UK 10 years visa last year with my daughter and my father sponsored us and the visas were granted eventhough I'm married. |

Vicjustice: Limited rights of appeal means, NO rights of appeal whatsoever: therefore, there is nothing you can do about this very case, it has been decided and is closed. He has a right of appeal but his right of appeal is limited to the grounds refered to in section 84(1)(c)of the nationality immigration and asylum act. the ground is "that the decision is unlawful under section 6 of the Human Rights Act 1998 (c. 42) (public authority not to act contrary to Human Rights Convention) as being incompatible with the appellant’s Convention rights". He can also ask for an administrative review of the decision or reapply. |

earthrealm: on the uk site..they said a new form and fees will be issued on april6th...i hv searched for the new form and i cant see it..all i see is the old 2010 general visitor form.....can some1 throw more light on this? The new form is similar to the old one, the only major difference is the question on whether you have ever received medical treatment in the UK. check out the form on this web site. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/applicationforms/visas/vaf1a.pdf |

avenza: please house i need your best advice concerning my visa application refusal, which is stated below I’m so sorry about your refusal. if you believe you have presented all relevant information and documents and u also believe the ECO erred in law or did not consider all the evidence u presented to him before making his decision, then you may consider appealing the decision of the ECO if you made a family visit application but if it is a general visit application you can ask for an administrative review of the decision. However, if you are in a hurry to travel to the UK, you may reapply and address all the issues the ECO raised your refusal letter but there is no guarantee that same thing will not repeat itself again. I had similar experience last year when I applied for 10 years family visa. I appealed the decision, I was given a hearing date by the Immigration Tribunal, however, the UK embassy in Abuja called me to come and submit my passport and my 10 year visa was endorsed on it. So you have different options to explore. Please let me emphasis this before u appeal make sure u are upright and have evidence to support u claims. . |

[quote author=lolatom] lolatom: Hey everybody, I just got a UK visiting visa, I stated on my application that I would be travelling on the 17th of April to return on the 21st but I actually would like to travel on the 14th of april to return on the same 21st. I wouldn't know if this would give me problems at the port of entry because I used a hotel reservation and not an invitation letter and the reservation clearly shows my bookings from the 17th to 21st. Would you guys advice I travel on the 14th of april as against the 17th of april I stated on my application? My visa was issued on the 28th of march. I am counting on you guys for advice please. yes u can since ur visa was issued on the 28th march.... just make sure u change you hotel booking accordingly. |

menia: I applied for UK visa with my husband and daughter July last year, our applications were refused and we appealed the decision in September. My husband and I lived in the UK for about seven years before we moved back to our country. The hearing of the appeal is set for 6 February 2012, however, I received a call from the British High Commission yesterday 24 January 2012 to come and submit our passports. We went to British High Commission today 25 January 2012 to submit of passport but we were given a slip to come back on the 22 February to collect our passport. I don’t know what this mean. Can we still go ahead with the appeal on the 6 February or what.Appeal works..... we got the 10years visa. |

tobs: Could you rephrase your question. Are u saying the Judge agreed with the ECO's decision or disagreed with the ECO's decision, The judge will normally inform the First-tier Tribunal (""Tribunal "" of his decision no more than 10 days after the hearing. The Tribunal will then send that decision (known as a 'determination') to everyone involved both the appellant and the respondent. If your appeal is successful, that means if the judge allows your appeal, his determination will be sent to the relevant visa section, which will in turn contact you. It can take up to 4 weeks for determinations to reach the relevant visa section, and a further 8 weeks for them to be processed. The visa section will contact you using the contact details provided on your appeal form. you need not contact the visa section until 12 weeks after the date when you or your representative received the judge's decision. This date will be stated on your written determination. |

i HighSpot: I totally agree with Omo_Tier1 Patience is the key word when it comes to appeal. I also appeal my visa refusal in September and ECO overturn his decision in January and i was asked to pick up my visa in February. I would advise u keep praying. I'm sure the result will be favourable to you. Before i forget, please make sure you send all relevant documents addressing all the issues raised by the ECO in your refusal letter. |

there is nothing stopping you from reapplying, just make sure u get everything right this time. make sure u address all the reasons for your last refusal. you can use hotel reservation. if u r going to the UK as a tourist, u need to fill the general visit form but if u r going to visit a family member u have to fill the family visit form. u can print the form online or go to the VAC office and pick one up |
