Politics / Kumuyi Reacts To Tinubu-Shettima Muslim-Muslim Ticket by Mercisharelove(f): 10:07am On Jul 15
The General Overseer of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, William Kumuyi has said politicians should always consider the desires of Nigerians when making decisions.

Kumuyi made the remark while noting that the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu took a slippery road in picking Borno Senator, Kashim Shettima as his running mate.

Tinubu came under intense criticism by Nigerians after he settled for a Muslim-Muslim ticket.

Nigerians had wanted Tinubu to pick a Christian to balance his presidential ticket, but he opted for a Northern Muslim.

However, Kumuyi said politicians should be aware that they did not elect themselves into office when making their decision.

He spoke after paying a visit to the Governor of Kwara State, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, yesterday.

Addressing journalists, the clergyman said: “The Muslim-Muslim or Christian-Christan ticket is a difficult and slippery area.

“The APC presidential flagbearer Bola Tinubu and his party took that slippery way to make Borno Sen and ex-Gov Kashiim Shettima his running mate.

“What I will say is that the political office holders should look at the heartbeat of the country, as well as desires of the people.

“Politicians should know that they are not there for themselves. They are there for all of us. They should ask and make their research about what the nation wants.

“They should ask and make their research on what the country wants, what the people want; if they listen to the people, we will be confident that they will listen to us when they get there.”

Mercisharelove:
Observers believe that Tinubu presidency for Buhari is no no! They're friends for life but supporting Tinubu to become president would be going against Buhari good conscience and beliefs

Because he believes that the Muslim has done eight years in the villa, naturally, it should be the Christian south south or South East turn to head the top job, that was the singular reason he refused to endorse Muslim Muslim tickets from the beginning of the APC merger. Did you hear me?

Buhari would have openly endorse Tinubu gladly, secret source hinted that the president has advised Tinubu to back down his ambition that he will adequately be compensated, but Asiwaju, has had his eyes on the top job no be today, so you see, it's unlikely he will clinch the party ticket due to forces against his aspirations..

Another option would be to pull out and run on different platform.

Watchers believe that the VP or the minister who is Buhari preferred candidate, but have refused to openly endorse him for the fear he might be assassinated.

Let us continue to pray for the president to make a proper decision, having experienced first hand how difficult it is to occupy Aso rock top job as an old weak man and sick body, coupled with names and curses Nigerians has been heaping on his government, he can not afford to foist another disaster on Nigerians. One time when he returned from one of his numerous health trip, acknowledged that age is on the side of the VP and vibrancy, but decided to give it to his transport minister, who was his campaign director general twice. So you see, it's everywhere.

Tinubu should support the minister, south west has occupied VP for 8 years now, South South or South East should fill the gap.

Drenimarcus2222:
There's no record of anyone named Boris Bondarev being employed by Russia's MFA. The diplomat he supposedly worked for, Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov, does exist, but all references to him end in 2018. Also, while I was doing my search at the MFA's English page, I was suddenly denied access, which is highly unusual, while nothing occurred at the Russian language page. Given AP is aka All Propaganda, and the content of the letter is so wrong, I'd say it's 100% Fake News. Plus, there's nada at MFA.

Lavrov recently stated "there are no traitors within Russia's MFA." Lavrov's diplomatic content is very consistent from one public appearance to the next and is nothing as described; indeed, it's the opposite. I know because I follow all his events.

Aha!! I just found the roster of Russia's Deputy Foreign Ministers and one Gennady Gatilov isn't one of the eleven posted. So, I'm 100% confident the AP item is 100% Fake News.

Family / Re: As A Woman I Have Decided I'm Never Getting Married Or Having Kids by Mercisharelove(f): 4:48pm On May 20
Poswahala:
Guys I genuinely need some advice
Because of the state of my mental health I have decided never to get married or have kids, I suffer from intense depression and anxiety and other mental health problems. I'm unsure of my own future talk more of a child.
I do love being in relationships but I do that only for companionship and sex.
I don't know if I will regret my decision. The guys I have dated have been cool with my no marriage proposal but I don't think any Nigerian man will not want kids.
I'm thinking of moving to another country, buy a house, take care of my community and neighbors then when I'm old, I will move to a retirement home.
If I change my mind I can adopt a child, am not against adoption as I am with marriage, it depends on if my mental health improves

The problem I have is that will I be lonely without a child, like I said I'm not into marriage despite being a woman trained in traditional home, it's not that I hate it or anything, it's not just for me. I will be unhappy being married.
But the child thing is bothering me, I always wanted a child, but i don't want my mental health to prevent me from loving and caring for the child.
Please advise

It's not a public talk reach out let us talk. I will be waiting

If they sue the O.P now to provide factual evidence for all this misinformation now... He would start crying injustice

Yet you sat in your room to misinform Nigerians because of your hatred of Tinubu

1: O.p provide article link, video or audio of TY Danjuma, Babangida and Alani Akinrinade asking Tinubu not to contest... Or we know you are a liar. And please don't come here with Alani Akinrinade's advise of Yoruba presenting a single candidate

2: Provide transcript, video or Audio where Any Governor in Nigeria told Tinubu they won't support him if not then you are just another liar paid to spread fake news

Politics / Why Tinubu Won't Get APC Ticket by Mercisharelove(f): 12:41pm On Apr 21
The Generals from Alani Akinrinade to TY Danjuma, IBB etc do not want Asiwaju to contest. Akinrinade & Danjuma asked him to withdraw from the race and analysed to him the danger of losing everything if he contested the primaries and lost. General Akinrinade is close to Asiwaju and does not want him to lose face post the election.

The Governors told him at the meeting he had with them that they would not support him. They accused him of being obsessed with power. They reminded him of how he snubbed them when they pleaded with him to support Ambode and Obaseki.

Afenifere leaders are totally against his presidential ambition. Olu Falae and Baba Fasoranti pointedly told him while Ayo Adebanjo has never hidden his disdain for Asiwaju’s presidential ambition.

His health challenges are too overwhelming to be ignored. Nigerians want a healthy president who will be available to lead the country out of the woods.
Too many faux pas.

Since announcing his intention to contest, Asiwaju’s campaign has been bogged down with self-inflicted errors through wrong pronouncements from asking people to renew obsolete voter’s cards to the threat of violence. People doubt his mental capacity even though he insists he has the capacity to lead.

Avoidable rift with NURTW. Tinubu sided with MC Oluomo against the NURTW which has a nationwide reach. Traditionally, Tinubu’s camp enjoyed a good rapport with the body during elections. That base is no longer there.

The aspirant the stakeholders in the party is considering now a PYO . Asiwaju is not on President Buhari’s radar and the President has told close associates he will never hand over power to Tinubu or Atiku because of the concern over greed and corruption. Fayemi and Amosun may also declare their intention any moment from now but once the party decides on consensus to support PYO, they will throw their weight behind him. Fayemi and Amosun’s declaration will further enfeeble Asiwaju’s ambition.

Of course, Fayemi and Amosun would like to win but they realise that their chances may be slim.
The general consensus in the South West is that PYO stands a better chance to win at the general election than Asiwaju. Some even believe that Asiwaju himself knows. They therefore cannot understand why he is playing the spoiler role.

Almost all members of the Tinubu original power/intellectual base and allies when he was Governor are not in support of his Presidential ambition. Aregbesola, Afikuyomi, Ojudu, Onanuga, Alake, Fasola etc. Most of them may work for PYO.

Discerning people have compared Lagos with Dubai in 1999 when Tinubu took over as Governor and has been the power behind the throne since then. There is no basis for comparison between what Dubai has become between 1999 and now and what Lagos has become in the intervening period in spite of the enormous resources of Lagos. They pinned it down to one source: the avarice of Tinubu. They do not see how Nigeria can make the kind of progress the people want with Asiwaju’s leadership style.

What the country wants and needs is a selfless leader who will work for the best interest of the people.
Above all the nation won’t survive a Muslim – Muslim presidency.

It is too dangerous to try and Tinubu is insisting on that. It was for this same reason he could not be VP to both Atiku and Buhari at different times. The non acceptance of this is not even from the Christians but from fellow Christians.

His greed is believed to have no comparison. Some said it could only be compared to that of Abacha.

Recently he moved to an 11 million pounds house in London transferred to him by Madam Deziani in 2016 as payment for protection from the administration which they believed he brought to being.

Another luxury apartment owned by the same Deziani and transferred to him has been located in New York and the government of Nigeria has filed actions to recover them.
