Hi all, the International Games Developers Association (IGDA) Nigerian chapter is planning to hold an event tagged "Global Game Jam" at the University of Lagos in partnership with the Department of Computer Sciences, Faculty of Siences. As part of this event we would like to showcase some of the great games that have been developed by Nigerians at this event. Please if anyone is interested in this opportunity, send an email to igdanigeria@gmail.com with a brief story of the developmental team behind the game, a gameplay video trailer either in youtube or any other format and some pictures of the developed game. Succesful entries will be contacted to as to when the event will hold. However we would love to see what has been developed by you all. The event will be streamed live to other jam sites around the World which will serve some benefit to the successful teams that will make a presentation. Thank you all for your entries.

Its great to see you all getting involved with Game development, as Lugan has said there is an IGDA in Nigeria that can help you with all your efforts. I represent the IGDA in Nigeria and we are currently planning an event that would focus on indie game development. This is for all the game developers, enthusiasts, graphic artistes and animators as well as any individual interested in game development. The International Game Developers Association (IGDA) now has a Nigerian chapter on Facebook, and here is the best part its free to join the Nigerian chapter. Just look for us as IGDA Nigeria and click on the join icon and you are then a member.

But if you are interested in joining the global body as well there is a link there to download the registration form.

This Nigerian Chapter is solely aimed at building the game development industry in Nigeria and Africa as well. FYI, this is one of the first groups in the whole of Africa.
