Strengthening of Civic Advocacy and Local Engagement by WATERLIGHT SAVE INITIATIVE.

It was a ground-breaking outreach today April, 3rd, 2021, in Javino Area of Gauraka, Niger State, as the Project Implementation Team for The Waterlight Save Initiative embarked on her "feed the widows" community-based project, to reach out to the extremely marginalized and vulnerable widows in the Javino community of Niger State.

The "Feed the widows" project is part of the outlined projects already earmarked for the year's budget, which was birthed as a result of the adverse effect of the global pandemic that handicapped the socio-economic growth and development of our Nation. It is aimed at strengthening and promoting the widow's self sustenance, reliance and also cushion the effect of the invisible enemy, COVID 19.

Unanimously, the "feed the widows" community-based project, is in consonance with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, Global goal (2) zero hunger, which would reduce hunger to its bearest minimal and regain the sustainable resilience for the community-based widows.

Speaking with the Co-founder of
Waterlight Save Initiative, Atuanya Michael who re-echoed the state of the non-profit organisation with a special focus on African development. He said "We have a track record of reaching the unreached communities in Africa with various targeted community based Humanitarian projects and initiatives".

In his remark, he mentioned that the organisation is embarking on a state by state developmental project in Nigeria.

"Our goal is to provide safe/clean drinkable water in the many unreached communities (rural areas) across the country. In today's covid world where we've all had to adjust to the new normal, washing of hands, and the consumption of safe/clean water cannot be over-emphasize in preventing and managing infectious diseases.
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), safe water supplies, hygienic sanitation and good water management are fundamental to global health. One-tenth of global disease could be prevented by access to safe water and improving water management to reduce risks of water-borne infectious diseases. So, ensuring that rural communities in Nigeria have unrestricted access to safe water is a guaranteed way to curb and ultimate eradicate the spread of covid-19 and other infectious diseases, this is our mission.

Concerning the above stated, we wish to appeal for your support and partnership in this journey. We can't do it alone. With your financial and/or material support, together, we can help save lives."

AMB RACHEL BAKAM APPOINTED AS NATIONAL EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR FOR MEDIA & STRATEGIC COMMUNICATIONS OF YOUNG FARMERS NETWORK

Yesterday, the Board of Trustees and National Executive Council, approved the appointment of Ambassador Rachael Bakam as National Executive Director for Media & Strategic Communications for Nigeria Young Farmers Network.

The National Executive Council led by the Director General of Nigeria Young Farmers Network Mr. Promise Amahah and some Executive members presented the certificate of appointment and other official letter to Ambassador Rachel Bakam with a mandate to deliver on her new position.

In her acceptance speech, Ambassador Rachel Bakam expressed so much joy for the privilege to be part of NYFN and add value through the Promotion, Public Enlightenment, Grassroots Mobilization, Stakeholders Sensitization and Mobilization, and General Media integration for the development of Agriculture in Nigeria through Youth engagement. She promised to give her best in the discharge of her duties and harness her enviable network for the benefit of the organization. She also revealed that during her younger days, she was the PRO of the young farmers club in Kaduna Capital School where she graduated as Head Girl. The Young Farmers Club served to embolden her as it gave her a platform to be more expressive. Plus that gives her a background and experience for her new position now.

Ambassador Rachael Bakam is a accomplished Journalist, Media and Strategic Communications expert with over a decade experience. She is a peace, tourism and anti human trafficking Ambassador. She has won several awards which include the Africa Achievers Award in South Africa, Best Television Presenter at the Nigerian Entertainment Awards London also at Africa Diaspora Merit Awards in Amsterdam. She is the Country Director for Ambassadors of United Nations SDGS etc. She runs several programmes on various TV Stations across the country including AIT etc. She brings to bear her experience and exposure in the media industry to enhance the potential of NYFN for national development

The early church wasn't the catholic church.... The letters paul wrote to the churches in corinth, thessalonica, ephicia and galatia.. None was addressed to any catholic church...
