I would suggest you go for the Avalon. But since you have a budget for the Nigerian used, it would be important you go with a professional mechanic that works with a car scanner. I've been offering professional car Pre-purchase inspection here on nairaland for many years with success. You can contact me on 08167469103 if you need my service.

BoyCoyToy:
I have been looking at the price of the VW Passat 2012 to 2014 prices on some Nigerian marketplace and I have discovered that it's way cheaper compared to previous edition.

I want to know if it has a common problem or it is just no too popular.

Alot of people have made solid points above. If you stay in Lagos and get hold of a proper Volkswagen mechanic, you are good to go with the vehicle. I do professional computerised Pre-purchase inspection incase you need my service. Chat me up on 08167469103.

Good day car gurus.
What do you guys think about mazda 3 2012.
I intend to get a Nigeria used one but thr owner said it the oil seal is bad hence leaking leaking oil. Also, the brake is faulty.

Is this something that's easy to fix?

Is the car reliable?

Which of the oil seal is bad and what part of the engine is the oil leaking from?

You need to contact a professional Pre-purchase car inspector to help you inspect before purchase. You can contact me on 08167469103 incase you need my service.
