Gehenna is not a physical location. Gehenna is the term commonly used to refer to the lake of fire in Greek.

God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being. The breath God breathed into man's nostrils is the spirit. The soul refers to the inner thoughts of man. A human being has a spirit, a soul and a body.

Mark 9:47 simply means you should not let anything hinder you from heaven. Nevertheless, it didnt say its the spirit eye that should be plucked out, but the physical eye which causes one to sin on earth. It means that it is better for you to have one eye as you are on this earth and get to enter the kingdom of God, instead of having 2 eyes on this earth and be sent to hell. In other words, dont let anything hinder you from heaven. Moreover, the Bible does not describe in details what the spirit looks like.

The rich man was sent to Hades as seen in Luke 16:23)
Nevertheless, Revelation 20:14 states, "Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire." The Bible is the standard and measuring rod of truth. From the Bible, in Luke 16:23-24, it indicates that Hades is a place of fiery torment as well but the point is that Hades being later cast into the lake of fire in Revelation 20:14 indicates that Hades is a temporary place of torment for dead sinners before they will be cast into the lake of fire at the end. The Bible does not describe Hades in details, therefore we cannot know anything besides what the Bible itself states.

3)If the rich man was thirsty and was asking for water to cool his tongue, does that mean that wicked people go to Hades with their bodies?
