I applied physically to the Abuja office of VFS with my typed withdrawal letter and filled forms and my passport was returned via courier to me two days

Hello all,

Please people who have successfully withdrawn their application/passport, how long did it take you to get your passport back?

I withdrew my application to retrieve my passport via email last week Wednesday and got a response that my request has been sent to the consular on Thursday, I really need my passport back in the next 2 days from Abuja (I'm in Lagos).

Called VFS this morning and they said it would take a minimum of 7 working days.

What can I do?

Itinerary is the least on the reasons for visa denials.
I could remember vividly my younger sister applied for SA visitors visa from their collection centre in Port harcourt, it took almost three months processing. Both the Itinerary and even date of return were no longer valid, and still her visa was granted.

I applied for SA visa 2 weeks ago.....
fastforward I picked up my passport after 5days and 4months visa sticker ... ( not in Nigeria though )

Your purpose of visit is the main area of concentration.
If you have an invite, the IV should be strong enough.

It's fine! I'm just wondering if anyone has info of any known cases where the Visa was granted after reapplication despite an expired itinerary?

Hello all, I applied for SA Business Visa on the 9th of Feb 2022 and in 14 days i was denied visa only on grounds of expired travel date/event date but with the option to appeal within 10 days. I drafted the appeal letter and submitted within the window provided but also under advisement from the Embassy office in Abuja, i submitted another application on the 10th of March and i am yet to get a reply from either VFS nor the embassy of SA till date.

My event date and travel itinerary has again expired. Is it possible that on grounds of the appeal perhaps, i can get a positive feedback on the visa? I am really despondent and frustrated. My sponsoring company are also not happy about the development
