I have observed this also. Issue like this was once raised sometimes in the past on the thread, but led to an argument. I did my calculations based of gains and losses on Zedcrest and other fund managers I subscribed with. I discovered that they don't always subtract the losses from their YTD. This is not good. Among the fund manager I subscribed to, I find only Cardinalstone being truthful with their YTD. The fund managers YTD could be tracked and calculate week-on-week on sec.gov.ng. If you are recommending fund managers to subscribe to, kindly put caveat. auschris: Just wondering. If returns for 4/29 is 5.11% and previous YTD is 87.61%, why is the current YTD 97.19%? |

FEGEITOK: Do you really want to ask someone to give up his secret sauce?
In this job, there are fathers, husbands, young men, students, etc. There is no standard charge for screeding. Some charge based on the name and reputation they have built over the years. Others charge because of the enormity of responsiblity they carry. Others charge because they would rather do something legit than beg or steal. Others want to make it big before tomorrow.
Because the motivations are so different, the pricing you get will vary considerably.
If you need someone that travels anywhere and everywhere and does not charge exhorbitantly. I can recommend someone. He is an undergraduate with a drive to better his lot in life. I like his work ethic. He finds time between his classes to travel all over Nigeria to do screeding so he can self-sponsor his education.
This is assuming that you found it difficult to arrive at a compromise with Bolu.1986 whose work I love and highly recommend.
Maybe I will start with your approval by passing on these parameters so we can get his costing for the above. Fegeitok, I sent you PM concerning the above. Thanks in anticipation. |

semmyk: You shouldn't need employer's reference, rather it should be professional references. Not sure of NHS, but typically HR should/would request appropriately if you've indicated self employed. Also, link to your portfolio page, verifiable online, would be supportive of the professional: this is over and above. Inbtw, there're different levels of self-employed: hence putting some structures in one business might assists with brand, client, outlook, growth. Thanks for your input |

Lexusgs430: I don't understand...... Are you requesting a fake NHS reference employment letter ........ Stop making assumption or being judgemental. |

TheGuyFromHR: I've no idea how the NHS recruitment process works, but where I work (and generally, I would think), when we take on people who were previously self-employed we take up professional references. No point asking a self-employed person for employer references.
If you stated on your employment form that you were self-employed, the background screening agency will ask you for contact details of persons who can verify your previous self-employment, which would mean former clients, etc. Thanks for your input |

Please Elders, TheGuyFromHR, how can one go about providing a reference covering recent 3-year of employment to NHS job in UK, if worked as self employed in Nigeria.
Thanks in anticipation. |
