This will give:
Dog plus cat minus dog minus rabbit (removing bracket) as 4;
Positive dog takes out minus dog leaving
Positive cat minus rabbit as 4;

We know:
Cat plus rabbit is ten; so
(cat plus rabbit) plus (cat minus rabbit) will be ten plus 4;
Thus, removing the bracket will leave us with:
Cat plus cat plus rabbit minus rabbit as fourteen;
2cat is fourteen;
Cat is fourteen divided by two which will give 7;


....making dog(seventeen) and rabbit(3);
.....giving a combined weight of 27;
