Nairaland / General / Braid Styles To Inspire Your Weekend by mickyglam: 10:18am On Sep 09, 2017
This weekend we will be showing you guys lovely braid styles.

Braids have been recorded as one of the top hairstyle which is totally impeccable and gorgeous it equally doesn’t select head shape and hair type . it has also been a source of help to people that doesn’t have front hair of course depending on the type of braid style you want to plait. Braids gives you the opportunity to style your hair differently as much as you want making it look more gorgeous everyday and give you a nice different look altogether, it brings out your face very well just like my friend will say “it brings out the real you in you” #laughs…
Thinking of hairstyle to make that will last longer for you? Definitely you should go for braids because the last longer than you could ever imagine. I can vividly remember when I braided my hair and I carried it up to 2 months and the hair was still looking smooth and beautiful I never even wanted to loose the hair but of course I still had to, my roommate even carried her own braid for almost 3 months funny enough the hair was still looking smooth (all these depends on the person that is plaiting the hair for you, that’s why it is very important to go to a good hairstylist to make the hair for you)

HERE ARE SOME LOVELY BRAID STYLE THAT YOU CAN EQUALLY GIVE A TRIAL.

Nairaland / General / How I Got A Thicker And Fuller Eye Lashes Effortlessly by mickyglam: 1:21pm On Sep 04, 2017
Long, thick and dark eye lashes give the eye an impeccable beauty. Beautiful eyelashes are undoubtedly something that most women desire and admire but unfortunately not all are opportuned to have it from birth. Women who doesn’t have natural beautiful eyelashes do go for cosmetic options such as mascara or getting false lashes those option makes the lashes look more darker, thicker and longer but nothing can beat natural eyelashes.
It is highly possible to get those beautiful eye lashes naturally. If you really want to get a natural, thick and lovely eye lashes, you need to put in some effort and dedication and in no much time you would be flaunting those thick lashes.

The hair is an amazing part of the body , which we need to love, cherish and treat with total carefulness.
Ever seen a lady with a very long and healthy hair, how do they look? Amazing right?
One of my male friends said, “Micky, even if a girl doesn’t have a well structured face but have a long black hair, damn, only that sweeps me off my feet and make me trip”.
The truth is that having a healthy hair is an enhancer To a girl’s beauty and also gives you the confident to flaunt your hair any how you want which equally help

Fashion / Every Girl's Story by mickyglam: 3:44pm On Aug 25, 2017
I have been shopping all my life but I still have nothing to wear!

This is the story most of us have.

We tend to shop often and at the end of the day we get confused on what to wear, how to wear and when to wear them. Having lots of clothes in our wardrobe makes it very difficult for us to select which one we are to wear. Most times we even buy clothes we never get to wear (it is just like seeing a lovely dress in a shop and then decide to buy it, after buying the dress you end up just dropping it without even putting it on for a day).

Atimes despite the fact we have lots of clothes we end up wearing a particular dress repeatedly. My friends will always be like "Girl you have enough lovely dress why then do you want to kill this particular one? Why are you wearing it always as if it is the only dress you have?" #laughs (I caption this to be very funny). Even though their words do get to me, no matter how much I try to stop wearing a dress repeatedly I just can't because it is now something I even do unconsciously...
Not till I started using this tips which really helped me alot

Nairaland / General / Boss Over Your Happiness by mickyglam: 6:50pm On Aug 20, 2017
Don’t rely on someone else for your happiness and self-worth. Only you can be responsible for that. If you can’t love and respect yourself no one else will be able to make that happen. Accept who you are completely; the good and the bad and make changes as YOU see fit – not because you think someone else wants you to be different.
Don’t ask yourself what the world needs, ask yourself what makes you come alive. And then go and do that. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.

I had to write about being in control of your happiness because so many people have really lost being in control of it and at the end always making themselves feeling sad and in pains . check the reply box for the link to read about this post there is so much more you can actually get from this post. read and thank me later

Nairaland / General / Everything You Need To Know About Waist Beads by mickyglam: 8:17pm On Aug 08, 2017
Waist beads which is called jigida in the northern part, Bebedi in yoruba land and Ileke idi in igbo land is often worn by African women and it holds certain fascination for many. The wearing of waist beads is thought to be obscene, local and primitive. Most parents doesn't allow their young ones to wear them because it is seen as something dirty which is meant for ladies or children with no moral upbringing, it is believed that whoever wears them is wayward and is trying desperately to attract men with it. This misconception has not discouraged the lovers of waist beads in the sense that they still holds a special admiration for it... I grew up to see waist bead as something that is fetish and diabolic but seeing many ladies wearing it as a new trend these day, I decided to carry out an indepth research to know the reasons why most of them wear it.
WHY MOST LADIES WEAR WAIST BEADS.
BODY SHAPING :many women use waist beads as an instrument for body shaping. The beads are used to alert them of their weight loss or gain, the bead roll lower on the waist once you loss weight and becomes tighter or higher on your waist once you gain weight.
According to Aisha an Hausa woman who sells waist bead she said "waist bead is good for women who wants to maintain her shape after child birth and for women who want to broaden their hips...

SEDUCTION: waist bead can also be worn for seduction, some waist bead posses intimate appeal and can provoke desire. Wives in the olden days often lure their husbands with rattle of beads or use them as a means to communicate the fertility at certain time of the month...
According to Tope a Yoruba woman she said "waist beads(Bebedi) in Yoruba land enhances a woman's beauty she also said that some waist beads has the ability to stir up deep erotic feelings in men, sexual pleasure is heightened when men see waist beads resting seductively on a woman's hips...

Nairaland / General / Skinny Girls Diary (how It Feels To Be A Skinny Girl) by mickyglam: 7:51pm On Aug 08, 2017
Everyone tries to look a cookie-cutter kind of way, and actually the people who looks different are the ones who gets picked up.
It takes the brave to be skinny cos you get to look totally different from the crowd (you get to be what I call outstanding), you end up having many body shape critics. Atimes you just want to act stupid by eating foolishly just to add up and at the end of the day nothing will show for it, very funny but still the truth....
One unique thing about self acceptance is that you honestly accept the facts of your reality, rather than trying to deny, disown or repress the things which you know you cannot change about yourself. So many people have engaged themselves in all sort of nonsense just for the race of being curvy(what the actually think is more attractive and catchy). This sense of unworthiness is the most toxic negativity one can ever hold. The mind doesn't have to use the law of attraction through any practice or techniques, it just needs to let go into the attractive force generated by the pull of life-stream. From the moment you start to accept and love yourself just the way you are, you will get to know that you deserve better. You deserve to be in love with yourself, not a vain, conceited pseudo kind of love, but a wholehearted, genuinely caring love that elevates you each and everyday of your life.
