Raiders: I guess NECO is less strict now. Back in my secondary school days, more people fail Neco than WAEC

eleojo23: Most people I know before and during my time had 'plenty' C's. I think that's NECO's favorite grade. But as long as it isn't F9, it's good enough.
I guess u are right cos c's in all is better than distinctions in others without math or english cos u wld still have to re write it
EducationWaec Vs Neco, Why I Think Neco Is More Fair! by micronut(op): 1:58pm On Sep 12, 2014
On Mon August 11th 2014, WAEC Released the MAY/JUNE Result where it. was announced that only 31.28% of the candidates passed satisfactorily with 5credits and above, including maths and english. Fastfoward to.Wed 10th Sept 2014, NECO came out with her own result, saying 52% of the cadidates passed convincinly with 5credits and above including maths and English........ Now, one wonders what could have resulted in these.disparities in figures, could it have been that one is tougher than the other? or sheer wickedness of one's part? or one is just being soft on candidates compared to another? these are questions seriously begging for an answer to spot whr the problem of students poor performance lies going by the general outcry of parents and stakeholders regarding the last waec result. abi no be same students wrote the same exam? left to me, i refuse to believe waec is tougher in question format compared to neco, cos i wrote both exams exactly 11years ago and I remember exactly how it was in those different sittings, needless shld i also include that have marked both exams script in recent years and i also do knw hw their marking schemes also looks like.......Am so concerned why d yardsticks differs, cos I wnt lost of counts of young chaps in my neighboorhood who bleeped and aced jamb exam with relatively high mark as 263 to study pharmacy and 271 in post ume too, only for his waec result to come with no credit in both maths and english until neco came with hers, whr dis dude performed creditably in flying colours........ thanks to neco u may say, yes! this same boy is topping.his 300level pharmacy class presently, with this u wonder what is missing...... write ur waec in one old bush sec schl and compared d result with all dis private schls and wonders y on earth u had F9 Parallel as if u submitted a blank sheet... the reason is this, waec has labelled some old schls as no good type, thus an innocent outstanding chap could be a victim except only in a handful few cases, I have testimonies for this........ most of the best student in my depts way back in schl, are armed with a 2 sittings results becos waec has. shot them in d leg yet some from lagos private schools have all on a sinlgle sheet of one sitting, yet they knws poo or are no better of than some of us.... lt is well, i congratulates those innocent students neco has saved from another year of perpectual o level disgrace.......... big congrats cos u are all better than that piece of paper, I had to stop here with my friend phrase, ' NECO VS WAEC' ALL NA MARKETING STRATEGY....... -IRE OOO......... NECO SAVING NIGERIAN STUDENTS FROM DISGRACE SINCE 1500BC.......LEND UR VOICE AND UR.OBSERVATION

Many people have the notion that Ibadan is still that ancient town with panoramic brick townhouses our fore-fathers lived in. Well, that is no longer the case, there is much more to experience in this metropolis. The underrated city has been reborn in the past few years with upscale neigbourhood, beautiful hotels and restaurants – even local ‘bukas’ such as Mama Ope Buka at Mokola has stepped up its game. Places like Agodi gate has been restructured and no longer as rowdy as it used to be. FamilyCircle Of Mums: How Do U Feel Seeing Ur Kids Growing Up? Whats D Happiness Like? by micronut(op): 5:00pm On Aug 27, 2014
Hi.. Young and old mumies in the house. I Enjoyed seeing beautiful kids growing up and am always happy for those proud parents for raising these beautiful gift of God! Kids can be so sweet, that u tend to always ignore them when they do certain things just becos of the Mother to child bond (especially the 9months experience). The reason why i thought of writing this is that, I went to my aunt's place last week to pay her a visit, while her two kids were playing (6year old boy and 4 old girl), i uttered a statement that 'Aunty iyabo en, this ur kids are lovely o and so fond to be with' and she pour out her unrepentant love for those kids with this statement.. 'Wo! Yemi, When I think about my children, i think of how much joy and happiness they have brought to my life. They are the reason I wake up everyday. I think about how lucky I am to have them. My kids are a blessing to me and my family. I think about how they're goofy and how all their personalities are a direct refletion of my husband and I. I love my kids to death!!!!.. Infact this words moved me so much that i nearly shed tears of happiness... Let me also add that my project supervisor in schl last year is generally knwn as a 'saddist' (owing to her no nonsense attitude and unforgiveable manners). When working with her while d project lasted,i discovered this woman love her children so much that she wld do anything, each time her 20yrs old first daughter studying Medicine in U.I called.she wld be using all d sweetest word on earth as eulogies including 'Oriki'. I remember she's fond of saying 'hello o, temi my happiness, olalonpe mi arike' how is studies? Right infront of us in d office, same for her last child in one international schl in akure, she can spoil dat one with 'midinmidin' and 'ijekuje' (biscuits and d likes).. She did it sote, she had to sent my friend and i out of an inaugural lecture one day, only to go and be waiting for her daughter outside, whose schl's is coming to grace d occassion, cos the new professor is a board member of d girl's schl..we waited for hours outside en, wen d girl finally came and we called her dat she's here ma, whe she dropped 4rm d coaster ride, her friends were like 'Hannah, see ur mummy', she ran into d woman's hand.. When we went to see her in d office later in the day,she bribed us with 1k and said this statement that i would always remember her for. 'U see guys, i dnt joke with my children cos they are amazin and i want 2 gve them everythin they want, want them to grow up 2 be very happy an loved like i am,want them to come 2 me and talk 2 me about anything.....they are my world and i love them in millions... So i want to hear 4rm u all,how do u feel each time u see ur kids, years after years?
FamilyWhy are Children Well Breastfed Turned Out To Be Smart And Intelligent Pls? by micronut(op): 7:07pm On Aug 23, 2014
Study shows why breastfed babies are so smart

Loads of studies over the years have shown that children who were breastfed score higher on IQ tests and perform better in school, but the reason why remained unclear. Again only this evening, I was watching marian anazodo's MOTHER CARES show on NTA where the invited Dr. Awosika anwered a question that its actually also true that parents who breastfed for longer times do have shrink.and flat tommy cos of the hormone called oxytocin that not only helps in milk production but also healing of the uterus and womb wateva................ so nairalanders, would you allow ur wife to breast feed for a whole one year? and the females in the house can u sacrifice a whole one year for d baby to feed on your bossom considering it.wld pay off in future? again is it the mother-baby bonding time, something in the milk itself or some unseen attribute of mothers who breastfeed their babies that could be attributed to this wonderful god-given blessing through the milk or there is more to this that man could comprehend? Need ur contribution pls as am thinking of compelling my wife to do this for me by 2016 when she puts to bed by God's grace hopefully....... cheers!
